Aromas of currants, fresh sweet tobacco, flowers, sandalwood and rose petals. Full-bodied, very rich and flavorful with minerals, white pepper and salt and hints of black tea. Intense finish with a bitter undertone for now. Needs a couple of years to come completely together.

A foursquare wine, this boasts dry, firm tannins that lets the concentrated black-currant flavors slip through. It is solid and will develop well. (RV)

Saint-Emilion is arguably the most quality rich region in 2015 and the 2015 Château Larmande is certainly worth your money. Giving up lots of smoked black fruits, cherries, chocolate and hints of spring flowers, this beauty hits the palate with surprising elegance and freshness, as well as fine tannin and nicely integrated acidity. It’s a lively, classy 2015 to enjoy over the coming 15+ years.

Decanter
Dark fruit with a hint of mint. Juicy, round and ripe on the palate. Lighter-framed but fine, ripe tannins. Appetising and the best for a number of years.

The medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Larmande has a nose of warm plums and baked blackberries with touches of spice cake, balsamic and charcuterie. The medium to full-bodied palate is soft and plush with open-knit berry preserves flavors and a savory finish. (LPB)
