Amazing: Fresh white refreshment for $10. Buy a case and you’ll have a savory, salty Atlantic white to drink all summer long. Right now, it’s delicate, with filigreed lemon-lime flavors offering fruit depth before signing off in a crisp, clean finish. Chill it as an early-evening aperitif, a brunch wine for bacalhão fritters or pike quenelles, or a picnic wine for ventresca tuna salad.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2017 Branco Quinta da Aveleda, the Estate white in the Bordeaux-style bottle, not to be confused with the fizzy one that just says 'Aveleda' and is in the flute-shaped bottle, is a blend of 70% Loureiro and 30% Alvarinho, dry and coming in at 11.5% alcohol. Although a mass-market wine (1,050,000 bottles), Aveleda typically does an astonishing job here for modest money, making a serious wine in a non-fizzy style. Sourced from 12-year-old vines, this shows beautifully, given its fine concentration for the level and exceptional purity of fruit. The finish is long, tense and filled with flavor. In a region filled with awesome values, this is certainly one of the best bangs for the buck that you can get. They age surprisingly well too, not that they necessarily reward aging. And not many people will keep their hands off of it for very long. (MS)

Wine Enthusiast
The estate wine from Aveleda is classic, dry Vinho Verde. Light, crisp and packed with great white and green fruit, it has lively, fine, perfumed acidity. *Best Buy* (RV)

Light-bodied, with a plump feel to the crunchy peach, kumquat and pineapple flavors, showing mineral and floral notes that linger into the clean finish. (GS, Web only-2018)
K&L Notes
A perennial staff and customer favorite, this Vinho Verde continues to deliver the goods, the fizzy, citrus-drenched, delicious goods. If you're looking for a poolside, picnic, or patio sipper, this wine never disappoints.
