K&L Notes

From 35 year old vines, a blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Auxerrois, Gewurztraminer and Muscat. The grapes come from Herrenweg de Turckheim plots. Situated on the alluvial fan of the Fecht river, this terroir is characterized by colluvial deposits of gravel sand substrate, alluvium, and stones. Similar to the soil of Graves, this terroir produces aromatic, mature, and elegant wines. The nose is open and expressive. On the palate the wine is dense and complex with superb freshness. Aromas of spice are prominent, developing into a persistent pepper and nutmeg finish.
