Wine Enthusiast
Earthy in baked citrus, black tea and clove, this wine offers a supple midpalate and plenty of length. Moderate acidity and balanced ripeness transition to a savory crushed-mineral tone. It’s rich within reason, more elegant than robust. (VB)

Wine Advocate
Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2016 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley gives lovely black cherries, mulberries and warm plums with nuances of Chinese five spice and dried flowers plus a touch of dusty soil. Medium-bodied with plush, approachable tannins and just enough freshness lifting the expressive black fruit, it finishes on an earthy note. (LPB)

Burghound
A ripe nose of spiced plum, dark berries and various spice elements leads to rich, round and delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess good reserves of dry extract that imparts a plush mouth feel as well as buffers the moderately firm tannic spine shaping the dusty and nicely balanced finish. This will need a few years to soften the structure as well as add more depth. *Outstanding*

Connoisseurs Guide
Both ripe and somewhat nervy to start without ever losing sight of fresh, well-defined cherries, but a solid, tightly structured Pinot that, along with the Westside Road Neighbors bottling, evokes a sense of still-nascent complexity that transcends its plentiful, still-youthful fruit, this one is a most cellar-worthy rendition that should be left alone for the time being. We have tasted more than a few older wines from this producer, and experience informs that another half-dozen years will pass before it starts to find its very best voice.
