Dried fruit, bark, and burnt orange aromas follow through to a medium body, medium-sweet palate with more dried fruits, and an earthy finish. Fruitier style. Drink now.

The youngest in the great range of Sandeman aged tawnies, this 10-year-old brings out fruit as well as wood flavors. That gives the wine freshness to balance its natural richness, spice and fine acidity. Dried fruits come through at the end. The wine is, like all aged tawnies, ready to drink. (RV)

Stylish cherry, plum and dried anise notes have a racy feel, ending with a late echo of dried orange peel on the finish. (JM)

The NV 10 Years Old Tawny Porto is a typical Douro blend bottled in August 2022 with a bar-top cork (the other age-indicated Tawnies in this report came with Vinolok glass stoppers) and 110 grams of residual sugar. Dark in flavor overtones, this is a 10 Year Tawny that seems rather serious and complex but still light and friendly. It doesn't project a lot of focus or concentration, but it's reasonable enough for a 10 Year. Then, it adds caressing texture, while its complexity is better than the norm. This is very nice. It drinks great now. It should hold a couple of decades if you must hold it, but that's not the point here. (MS)
