The 2015 domaine bottling of Morey AC also strikes me as a step up from the négociant version, as this is more pure and more focused than the former example. The bouquet is not quite as generous as the Chambolle above, but equally refined in its expression of plums, black cherries, dark soil, venison, woodsmoke, fresh herbs and bitter chocolate. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nicely structured, with a fine core, ripe, moderate tannins and a long, well-balanced finish. This too is a classy villages. 2020-2045.

The 2015 Morey-Saint-Denis Villages from Domaine Dujac is an excellent rendition of this cuvée, which wafts from the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, cinnamon, warm spices and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, ample and quite lavish, structured around fine-grained, satiny tannins and good acids, its finish sapid and long. For now, this Morey remains open and expressive. (WK)

A ripe but fresh nose combines both red currant and floral-suffused aromas with those of lavender, earth and a hint of oak. There is good intensity and freshness to the relatively robust middle weight flavors that possess fine delineation before culminating in a youthfully austere, dusty and mouth coating finale where a hint of warmth appears. A quality villages and worth a look. *Outstanding*
