This garage wine, from a 3.5-acre vineyard planted with 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, was aged on its lees with the famed micro-oxygenation and looked after by the hotshot wine guru from the right bank, Stephane Derenoncourt. This dense purple-colored wine reveals sweet mocha and espresso notes intermixed with cassis and plums. Expressive, rich, medium to full-bodied, jammy, and a total hedonistic turn-on, it must be tasted to be believed. (RP) (4/2003)
