Connoisseurs Guide
Well-ripened and fairly bright at one and the same time with vigorous, young, distinctly cherry-like fruit in control at every stop, this nicely composed effort shows great continuity and crafting and is, in the manner of fine Pinot, both tantalizingly rich and wonderfully light on its feet. It should prove to be a wine that ages with real grace owing to its exceptional energy and balance, but it is so easy to like now that waiting will not come easy. *Two Stars*

Vinous
Black cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco and licorice are all pushed front and center in the 2014 Pinot Noir Calegari Vineyard. Dark, powerful and dense, the 2014 offers notable depth and richness. Even so, there is an unrestrained wildness to the 2014 that is only likely to become more prominent with the passage of time. The virile tannins could use another year or two in bottle to soften. This is one of the more eccentric wines in the range, yet all the elements are nicely balanced throughout. The Calegari also feels like the ripest wine in the range. (AG)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Calegari Vineyard displays fragrant notes of violets, Ceylon tea, licorice and underbrush with a black cherry and black raspberry core. Elegant, finely structured and with tons of energy, it finishes with great length and depth. (LPB)

From a vineyard poised along Eastside Road, this wine is juicy in flavor and dense in color and on the palate upon entry. Marked by great, well-defined acidity, it's gorgeously floral in fresh rose petal and orange peel with just a touch of reduction, with an additional weight of black tea and cranberry. (VB)

Allen Meadows - Burghound
An attractively perfumed and overtly spicy nose combines notes of sandalwood, anise, Asian-style tea and an array of both red and dark pinot fruit aromas. Once again the mouth feel of the medium-bodied flavors is quite sleek while displaying fine definition on the delicious, complex and less obviously structured finish that also flashes a touch of youthful austerity. While not quite as firm, I would still advise allowing this at least 5 to 7 years of bottle age as it's presently fairly tightly wound. *Outstanding*
