2014 Dashe Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

SKU #1265612 90 points Connoisseurs Guide

Spot on in its varietal precision and a nicely managed wine in every respect, Dashe's appellation bottling from the Dry Creek Valley is everything that well-made Zinfandel should be. There are others that can claim more potency and power just as there are some that are deeper and more complex, but this one gets the nod for its constancy, class and cohesion, and it is a flavorful, but never-too-pushy rendition that will drink splendidly with an especially wide range of foods over the next four or five years. *Good Value* (9/2016)

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2014 Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley has the varietal’s peppery, raspberry and black cherry fruit, earth and spice, nice meatiness, and a character that begs for something prepared outside on the grill. This is a lovely, fresh, pure, medium to full-bodied Zinfandel to drink over the next 3-4 years. (RP) (3/2016)

Zinfandel that is done in a classic, “not over-the-top” style is hard to find these days. The Dashe is just lovely. Lots of red fruits flavors and blackberries explode from the glass! They are followed by a lively, spicy finish that lingers on for minutes. This is excellent food wine that will not tire your palate out. It kind of reminds me of older J Swan Zinfandels that I grew up loving!
