2014 Kosta Browne Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

SKU #1248713 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Another sensational appellation release is the 2014 Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands. Coming from an early vintage that was over two weeks ahead of average, it has tons of spice, black raspberry, currants and blackberry characteristics, medium to full-bodied richness, a great texture and no shortage of depth or length. Already impossible to resist, drink it anytime over the coming 7-8 years. (JD) (9/2016)

Like walking through a rose garden, this offers exotic, perfumed scents. Starts out elegant and understated but gains depth and complexity, fanning out with black licorice, dusty earth and dried herb flavors that highlight the zesty raspberry fruit. (JL) (9/2016)

91 points Connoisseurs Guide

Very much showing the extra richness and fruity weight that its provenance typically predicts, this generously filled, full-bodied Pinot smacks of vanilla and sweet toast at one moment and at wildflowers the next with a strong and steady presence of juicy, impressively concentrated, ripe cherry fruit tying all of its complex parts together. It is plush and slightly velvety on entry with late arriving tannins lending backbone and grip, and its dalliances with a bit of finishing heat do nothing to diminish its ongoing, decidedly hedonistic pleasures. *Two Stars* (6/2016)
