The 2011 Rompecabezas comes across as a bit floral and fleeting in this vintage. The distinct floral and savory notes are there, but I see less concentration and depth overall relative to the best years. My sense is that the 2011 is a wine to drink sooner rather than later given its medium-bodied structure. (AG) (11/2013)
Dense, rich and meaty, offering a muscular core of crushed rock, dried dark berry, black licorice and cigar box notes. This is drying on the finish, with tannins giving the flavors traction. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2026. (JL) (3/2014)
