Wine Spectator
#16 Wine Spectator's top 100 Wines of 2015. Dense and rich, with amply spiced flavors of ripe dark plum and cherry compote. Mineral notes emerge midpalate, leading to a lush, chocolate-filled finish. A fresh and engaging style. Drink now.

Ripe and fruity, this is a rich, smoothly textured wine. It has dense blackberry fruit flavors, smooth tannins and just a light touch of acidity. Raspberry jelly and a touch of tannic structure at the end, give a fresh taste.

Excellent deep purple colour. Lifted, silky nose. Great, broad, luscious spread of super-ripe red fruits on the front palate. Very luxurious for the price. Some black pepper quality as well as the texture memorably described by John Edwards of The Lane, of Larry Cherubino's wines, as 'slithery boy'. It certainly doesn't have the intensity of a vintage port nor even of a single quinta port but it shouldn't disappoint anyone - and the price is pretty good for a five-year-old wine with a future. Distinctly dry finish. *Good Value*
