Vinous
The 2013 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard is a terrific example of Anderson Valley Pinot. Red cherry jam, pomegranate and plum give the Ferrington its distinctive plush feel. Open-knit, creamy and expressive, the 2013 offers striking depth and harmony from start to finish. Drink this succulent, forward Pinot over the next decade or so. (AG)

Wine Advocate
From the Anderson Valley, the 2013 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard exhibits beautiful raspberry and blueberry fruit, a floral delicacy, medium to full body, and a long, layered texture. This is a beauty and a classic from Anderson Valley. (RP)

Burghound
This is an aromatically restrained wine to this point with its reticent array of mostly red berry liqueur-like nose that exhibits background nuances of tobacco and menthol. There is first-rate mid-palate density to the round and suave, even opulent, flavors that coat the palate with dry extract, all wrapped in a velvety and solidly complex finish. This is quite firmly structured and while all of the sappy extract presently buffers the tannic spine, this should easily reward up to a decade of cellaring. In sum this is one of the more robust wines in the range with plenty of power and punch.

Wine Enthusiast
This unusual and attention-getting wine is full of spicy aromas and flavors, almost like a mulled wine, with cinnamon, clove and cardamom, plus a super-concentrated fruit core. The texture stays tangy despite the heavy spices, and the mouthfeel is very assertive and appetizing. (JG)
