Tight-grained tannin wraps around dark, brooding swathes of black cherry, blackberry and cinnamon; dustings of dark chocolate and graham cracker weaving their way underneath. Strong herbal components balance the fruit and complexity, brightened by dashes of fresh citrus and herb. (VB)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The generic cuvées from Eastside and Westside Roads are always the best buys in this portfolio. The 2013 Pinot Noir Eastside Road Neighbors has a similar dark ruby/plum color as well as loads of fruit, slightly more minerality, and more bulk to it, but is still similar in its suppleness and seductive lushness. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. (RP)

Vinous
The 2013 Pinot Noir Eastside Road Neighbors is plump, juicy and forward, all qualities that make it a delicious wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Sweet red plum and cherry fruit fill out the wine's supple frame effortlessly. (AG)

Connoisseurs Guide
Although a bit lesser in terms of richness and overall weight and a little more given to evident acidity, this slightly narrow wine is on the youthfully stiff side of things, but it is charged by plenty of lively, red-cherry fruit and never errs to thinness. It can be enjoyed early on with grilled salmon steaks, but its tautness should ease and it will find fuller expression with a few years of rest in the bottle.

Wine Spectator
Complex and engaging, this red delivers an elegant, expansive mix of cherry, plum, raspberry and floral scents, adding a kiss of anise and black licorice on the finish. (JL, Web Only-2016)
K&L Notes
According to the winery: "The Eastside Road Neighbors Pinot Noir always shows a darker fruit profile, when compared to its Westside Road counterpart. Aromas of blackberry and black cherry immediately fill the nose, while dried rose petal, mushroom, mocha and cherry cordial further add to the complexity. Succulent in the mouth, the black fruit character and softly textured tannin creates an elegant offering, which can be enjoyed in the near term but will certainly develop well with additional bottle aging. The Pinot Noir for this blend was sourced from four unique sites along Eastside Road: Foss Vineyard, Calegari Vineyard, Hunt Ryd Vineyard, and Lone Oak Vineyards."
