Wine Enthusiast
Shows the usual Williams Selyem Chardonnay profile of huge fruit and flashy oak. This opulent wine would be over-the-top except that it's balanced by crisp, lemony acidity, and somehow retains a tight core with a gravitational tug that keeps the richness focused.

Pungent aromas of orange zest, toasted almond and white flowers. Plush and broad on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, with very good energy and freshness to its peach, citrus fruit and honey flavors. Finishes chewy and long, with subtle spiciness and slow-building minerality. This wine usually shows more exotic character according to Cabral, but I welcome its vivacity. (ST)

Connoisseurs Guide
If the wine above wants time to mature, this one absolutely demands it. It is, at this writing, both focused and reluctant, but its depth is apparent even if generosity has not yet arrived. Its suggestions of pulpy fruit and density suggest a ton of substance, and the sweet pineapple and lemon custard top note would seem to support that notion. Yet, there is a twist of tightness in the latter half here fueled by a late rise in acidity, and the wine turns a touch rigid at the finish. We would suggest two to four years of cellaring. *One Star*
