2012 Daniel Bouland Morgon "Corcelette Vieilles Vignes"

SKU #1159589

Daniel Bouland is a very small producer in the village of Corcelette who has been enchanting lovers of Beaujolais in recent years with his stunning Morgon. "It's clear by now that Daniel Bouland is one of Beaujolais's major as well as most consistent talents," says David Schildknecht from the Wine Advocate. His 2011 "Corcelette Vieilles Vignes" displayed "dark berry and peat aromas of surprising discretion considering the intensity of juicy black raspberry fruit, the smoky pungency, and the meaty, subtly gamy animal dimension delivered on its rich palate..." (08/2013) and was projected to drink well for five to seven years; this is an excellent example of cru Beaujolais.
