Here we have the venerated Tennessee distillery, dipping its toes into the hot-as-coal rye whiskey market. Granted, they haven't actually distilled any Rye Whiskey, but they've sourced it from Lawrenceburg Distillers in Indiana. The whiskey is than subjected to George Dickel's special charcoal mellowing process, which is typically performed before ageing, but was adapted for this new product to add softness to the typically heady, savory spirit coming out of Indiana.
