2003 Barnett Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon

SKU #1068019 92 points Wine Enthusiast

*Cellar Selection* This is a very fine Cabernet, a bit too young for complete enjoyment now due to tough mountain tannins, but there's a fleshy opulence to the fruit. Totally dry, the wine feels rich and balanced, and is Bordeaux-like in its feminine elegance, suggesting a fine St-Julien. (8/2006)

90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

(includes bits of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) Good ruby-red. Pure, elegant nose offers currant, tobacco, coffee, licorice and brown spices. Sweet, firm and aromatic, with ripe acids framing the flavors of currant, cherry, baking spices and earth. Finishes with good aromatic persistence. (ST) (5/2006)
