2005 Bodegas El Chantre "Ramos-Paul" Málaga

SKU #1062756

If you like your wines bold and broad-shouldered, this red from Andalusia in Southern Spain will pretty much knock your socks off. This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Merlot, and it is almost overwhelmingly aromatic, with sweet red fruit and exotic spice, along with toasted oak notes and raspberry liquor. On the palate, this is big, dark, with earth and ripe fruit in equal measure. Not subtle, but a huge wine with a ton to offer.

I love big California red's! But, that being said. I am always looking for a great cross-over wine from new world to old world. I have found it! This bold wine brings great fruit, and spice. Everything I love in my California red's. Great use of the oak, which gives it even more complexity. BBQ pork chop anyone!
