Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet color with a hint of purple and is just a little closed, opening slowly to reveal notions of fresh blackcurrants, wild blueberries and mulberries with touches of plum preserves, dried Mediterranean herbs, violets and cedar chest plus a waft of tobacco. The medium to full-bodied palate is still very youthful, possessing a great core of vibrant black fruit and a fine-grained texture, finishing long and refreshing. (LPB)

Vinous
Medium ruby. Deep aromas of blackberry, cassis, violet, cocoa powder and wild herbs. Seamless and rather high-pitched, and more savory than sweet, with its purple fruit and violet flavors kept firm today by serious but nicely integrated acidity. This is still quite primary and backward, and its strong, juicy fruit needs a few more years to unwind. The tannins are fine-grained and suave. The quality of the site shines through. (ST) 91+

K&L Notes
94+ points Robert Parker in Wine Advocate: "Composed of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (nearly 4,000 cases produced) is a great buy for a world-class Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It exhibits a dense purple color, notes of charcoal, creme de cassis, graphite, and forest floor, and a ripe, opulently fruity, rich, full-bodied style. Its endearing silkiness, multi-dimensions, and mature, sweet tannins suggest it has two decades of life ahead of it." (12/2009)
