Full ruby-red. Superripe, slightly roasted aromas of black cherry, blackberry, licorice pastille and wild spices, with hints of mocha, truffle and minerals emerging with aeration. Fat, chocolatey and full, with plush, somewhat grapey flavors of currant, black plum, loam and menthol. Chunky, broad and dry wine, finishing with slightly drying tannins. Very much in the style of this hot year. (5/2007)
