2007 Antica Terra Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

SKU #1050738

92 points Robert Parker: "The 2007 Pinot Noir is medium ruby-colored with an alluring perfume of cinnamon, allspice, incense, cherry, and raspberry. This leads to a medium-bodied, elegant wine with excellent depth and concentration, a silky texture, and incipient complexity. This lengthy effort will provide pleasure from 2011 to 2019." (10/09) The Antica Terra Pinot Noir is made with fruit from a combination of Willamette Valley vineyards - the eponymous Antica Terra, Shea, Cherry Grove and Croft and aged in a combination of new and used French oak barels. The wine's translucent ruby color is radiant in the glass - with earth and dusty raspberry scents, hints of smoke, bacon fat and rose petals. The perfect blend of sweet and tart on the palate, this zippy wine has velvety cherry, black tea and mineral notes on the palate with wonderfully integrated tannins that ground the wine. Low in alcohol - only 13.5% - this is a food-friendly wine with good structure and the shape to age in your cellar or to drink now with some air.
