Int'l Wine Cellar
Light greenish-gold color. Complex, ripe aromas of citrus fruits, mango, smoky minerals and dried flowers. Broad, fat and strikingly powerful, with underlying minerality giving spine to the sweet orange and mineral flavors. Gains flesh and power with air and finishes with a whiplash of dusty minerals.

Wine & Spirits
This takes the better part of a day to fully emerge, initially tightly constricted under its aromas of oak, yet its depth, detail and purity of flavor are striking, driven by an intense backbone of stony minerality. Give it several years in the cellar and it will show even greater harmony and complexity.

Wine Spectator
Shows impressive range and depth for the vintage, with hints of candied lemon peel and quince giving way to macadamia nut, wet straw and white peach notes that glide along a porcelainlike texture. Lengthy, with a salted butter note stretching out nicely.

K&L Notes
Arguably Dagueneau's most popular cuvee, this wine is produced primarily from a vineyard north of Saint Andelain called La Folie. The soil here is deeper clay with some chalky limestone, with virtually no silex. The vineyard is gently sloped and has perfect south/southeast exposure. Once again, the brilliant, tight structure of high acidity and mineral core dominate the wine initially upon opening. Crystilline and almost gritty, after several minutes of air the wine begins to shine. The high-toned texture remains, but aromatics of citrus, quince and fine minerals begin to waft from the glass. The balance in the mouth is ethereal, but follow through is intense, long and mouth-puckering.
