Fresh orange, raspberry, caramel candy corn, cotton candy, and lemon aromas, with a hint of fresh banana. On the palate, smooth, spiced, and fruity, with notes of candied watermelon, cherry hard candy, and overall candied sweetness, with a dash of pepper spice. The finish is smooth, with muted sweetness and fruit notes of raspberry sorbet—spicy but well-textured and of medium length, with a great veneer of softness and emerging spice. (DF, Spring 2022)

The Sazerac cocktail: 1/2 oz absinthe, 2 oz Sazerac Straight Rye, 1/2 oz simple syrup, 2 dashes of Peychaud bitters. Fill an old fashioned glass with ice. Add the absinthe to the glass. Combine all other in a shaker and stir over ice. Discard the ice and absinthe from the old fashioned glass, letting the absinthe coat the glass. Strain shaker ingredients into prepared old fashioned glass. Garnish with the orange or lemon twist.
