The Sigalas Rabaud ’03 has turned out to be one of the finest Sauternes of the vintage. It has an attractive nose of lemon curd, dried pineapple and mango – touches of yellow flower and lanolin developing with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous opening. This is well-balanced with a lovely candied core of fruit, citrus acidity and commendable precision on the fresh, vital, effervescent finish. I would seek out this lovely wine that has genuine long-term potential. (NM) (7/2013)
Pure lemon curd and apricot jam with honey and syrup on the nose. Full-bodied, thick and rich. Medium-sweet. Not the most in botrytis, but I love the density and richness of the wine. (3/2006)
