2000 Dehlinger "Estate" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

SKU #1003178

93 points Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine: "The most widely available of the current Dehlinger bunch, it is a very lovely, rich, well-concentrated, outgoing wine from its first aromas of ripe cherries, creamy oak, caramel and hints of berry to its broad, velvety mouthfeel and deep, succulent flavors. It is energetic and alive from front to back, and if not quite sporting the dazzling intensity of the High Plains bottling, it has picked up some of the age-encouraging acidity that is so much a part of the Octagon bottling." (10/03) According to Robert Parker: "The 2000 Pinot Noir Estate's plum and cherry-scented bouquet is accompanied by a crisp, medium-bodied palate, good sweetness, and more fat as well as texture than its 1999 counterpart. Tom Dehlinger told me that the acids were "slightly lower" than in 1999." (08/02)
