1995 Perrier-Jouët "Fleur de Champagne Belle Epoque" Brut Champagne

Soft and round, with more exotic fruit characters. This is ripe, the acidity well integrated. Citrus and toast mix with ripe apricot and pineapple. It exudes the more seductive side of this famous brand, now mature, but still very much alive. (RV) (12/2011)

Strong mousse. Restrained aromas of lemon rind, lime, honeysuckle and chalk. Tightly wound, firm and quite refined; almost hard today and distinctly backward. Finishes long, brisk and dry, with bracing lemony acidity. (ST) (11/2001)
