2012 Abbaye Saint Hilaire Coteaux Varois en Provence Rosé
A traditional blend of Cinsault, Syrah and Grenache, this rose is bright, fresh and very easy to enjoy. The perfect summer sipper for warm evenings and alfresco dinning. This wine has everything you want from a rose; bright fresh fruit, crisp, refreshing acidity and a lovely minerality. Winemakers Notes: "Nose is complex with notes of red fruits, exotic fruits, and lychee. The palate is full and supple. The flavors are complex with notes of slightly spicy, exotic fruit (papaya, lychee) and red fruits. The texture on the palate is elegant, velvety, very complex. The finish is long and crisp." These 50 to 60 year old vineyards are farmed in compliance with Agriculture Raisonnée. Abbaye St Hillare are committed to taking real steps to protect the environment with a dedicated approach to greening their vineyards using only organic fertilizer, with weeding done naturally by grazing sheep. This preserves soil health while increasing biological diversity (earthworms, insects, songbirds etc) creating the perfect expression of agriculture working in harmony with nature. 12.5% abv.
