This beautiful Pinot Noir was grown and crafted by the world-class team at Seven Springs / Evening Land as a custom, high-end bottling for the Altamarea Restaurant group. Because of the challenges COVID 19 has posed to restaurants during the last 12 months, some of the wine was surplus to requirement. As a longtime partner of the winery they offered it to us at a fantastic price! This main component of this wine comes from the legendary "La Source" block at Seven Springs. This parcel of vines was planted in 1984 predominantly to own-rooted Pommard clone....

93 points James Suckling: "A delicious Chardonnay with sliced cooked apples and subtle vanilla and cream on the nose and palate. Hints of toffee and butterscotch, too. Full-bodied and compact. Racy finish. Very serious." (02/2020) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Chardonnay features bright, youthful grapefruit, fresh lemons and pineapple notes with touches of baking bread and allspice. Medium-bodied, elegant and refreshing, it has a silken texture and bags of citrus flavors, finishing spicy. (LPB)" (10/2019) 91 points Wine Enthusias...
95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "It’s a beautiful bottle of wine that has loads of blue fruits, violets, and subtle earthy minerality as well as medium to full body, incredibly polished tannins, and a great finish." (06/2019) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Red Wine Innovant is made up of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Merlot, aged 20 months in 45% new French oak. It has a deep ruby color opens with cassis, grilled beef, black plum, Morello cherries, cedar and bay leaf touches with a classy framing of new oak spice plus violet hints. Medium t...
93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Chardonnay Bien Nacido Vineyard offers more salinity as well as notes of white currants, honeyed peach, and toasted spices. With medium body, a terrific sense of minerality, and a layered, seamless texture, it's a rocking wine." (10/2019) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Chardonnay Bien Nacido Vineyard opens with notions of pie crust, banana cream, lemon peel and sliced almonds with peaches and stone aromas at the core. Medium-bodied with a lightly creamy texture, it has good fruit intensity and nutty ...
93 points Decanter: "Sage, earth and dried herbs on the nose; then rich flavours of raspberries, cherries and blueberries. A core of acid and smooth tannins make this fun now and for several years to come. A wine that defines Dry Creek Zin." (01/2020) 93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Zinfandel Cortina offers more complexity in its earth dark fruits, underbrush, Caramelized cherries, and spice. Rich, medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins and a solid sense of purity and freshness, this is a classy yet pleasure bent Zinfandel that will keep for a decad...
96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the larger production single vineyards as well as the only one to go out to distribution, the 2017 Chardonnay 3D comes from a more easterly site that was planted in 2007. It's a richer Chardonnay and offers an ethereal, gorgeously pure bouquet of caramelized citrus, white flowers, pineapple, honeysuckle, and toasted bread. Beautifully layered, seamless, and polished, with medium to full-bodied richness, it's another rocking effort. This was another thrilling lineup from Greg Brewer, and I consistently rate these wines as s...
91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Bien Nacido Vineyard has an underbrush and dried herbs-scented nose with a core of pomegranate, rhubarb and Bing cherries, plus a dusty earth waft. Light to medium-bodied, with a good amount of chew to the tannins, it has delicate earthy/red berry flavors and a mineral note on the finish. (LPB)" (09/2017)

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby-red. Captivating, high-pitched aromas of cassis, licorice pastille, bitter chocolate, violet, rose petal and mocha. Juicy and tightly wound, with fresh acidity energizing the middle palate but keeping the wine's dark berry flavors restrained today. There's a lightly peppery quality that gives away the vintage, but this highly aromatic wine is a big success for the year and very well made. (ST)" (05/2014) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "This cold rainy year has a bad reputation (some in Napa...
93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from the Russian River, the 2017 Chardonnay Running Creek Vineyard was brought up in 35% new French oak, with the balance in neutral barrels. Its medium gold color is followed by a rounded, sexy Chardonnay that has plenty of peach, tangerine, honeysuckle, and brioche-like aromas and flavors." (06/2019) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Chardonnay Running Creek Vineyard has a fresh, open nose of sliced pear, red apple skin, wet stone and faint notions of kiwi and melon. Medium-bodied, it gives pure fruits ...
This relatively small negociant firm is located just outside Courrensan, just within the Bas-Armagnac limits. The firm was started in 1935 Madame Jeanne Goudoulin who, following the unexpected death of her husband Joseph from injuries sustained during the first world war, began selling his Armagnacs directly from the family property the Domaine de Bigor. As the years passed, the Goudoulin Armagnacs began reaching a larger audience, making their way to the Basque coast and Bordeaux. In 1964, Jeanne's grandson Christian Faure entered the business and bega...

94-97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The same blend/elevage as the 2012, the 2013 BMT was my favorite of the ’13 barrels samples. Perfumed, floral and exotic, it has beautiful richness and depth on the palate to go with a seamless texture and stunning purity of fruit. There’s a tad more concentration here than in the 2012, but it should have a similar evolution. " (08/2014)

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another full-bore California Syrah, Tensley’s 2012 Syrah Colson Canyon has a ripe, sweet and decadent style. Loaded with cassis, pepper, smoked meats and melted licorice, it has no hard edges, overflowing sweet fruit and a polished feel. It pushes the sweetness level, and won’t be for everyone, but it has loads of charm and is a joy to drink. (JD)" (08/2014) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Inky purple. Pungent dark fruit liqueur, cherry-cola and potpourri on the deeply scented nose, with...

Connoisseurs Guide: "When first reviewed in 2016, Stolpman’s 2012 Ruben’s Block Syrah was sufficiently bound up in tannin to make us question just where it might be headed, and, now five years later, while it has let go of much of its astringency and is revealing a good deal of complexing varietal spice and meaty, charcuterie-like qualities, it is not as deep in fruit as its successors. Far from drying out and still having the structure for additional age, it is, nonetheless, a Syrah that argues for drinking over the next three or four years lest its loo...

93 points Vinous: "The 2018 Gewürztraminer Alta Vista Vineyard Old Vine bristles with tension and energy. Bright floral notes give the 2018 striking lift to play off a range of Gewürztraminer varietal flavors and aromas. I would give it a year or two in bottle, as it is still pretty tightly wound. (AG)" (04/2020) K&L Notes: At Bedrock, they embrace uninoculated fermentations, native malolactic fermentation and the use of whole clusters in fermentation, minimal handling, rarely or never fine, avoid additions of things like water and tartaric acid, and...

93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the two cuvees released only in magnum, the 2015 Syrah BMT offers fabulous notes of wild flowers, passion fruit, crushed violets and darker fruits in a full-bodied, elegant and layered style. (JD)" (08/2016) 93 points Vinous: "The 2015 BMT, a blend of 75% Syrah, 25% Grenache, is quite marked by the floral and red-toned notes of Grenache in this tasting. Pliant, ripe and quite giving, the 2015 is all about raciness. Silky tannins add to the wine's sheer appeal. The BMT is one of the riper, more flamboy...

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Moving to the reds and coming from the rolling hills and sandy soils of the Thompson Vineyard, the 2012 Syrah Thompson Vineyard is gorgeous stuff. Deep, rich and layered, with pretty purple fruits, violets, pepper and crushed flowers, it has striking purity, medium to full-bodied richness and terrific length. It show the supple nature of the vintage, yet should have no problems evolving gracefully for upward of a decade or more. (JD)" (08/2014) 92 points Vinous: "Sweet tobacco, plums, super-ripe black cherries ...

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Lioness represents Hess's biggest, boldest style of Chardonnay. The 2017 Chardonnay The Lioness was aged 18 months in 50% new French oak with lees stirring and was bottled unfiltered. Fruit comes from the Hess Estate in south Napa. It gives up gregarious scents of mangoes, pineapple tart, peach cobbler and acacia honey with nuances of lime blossoms, spice cake and toasted almonds. Big, concentrated and sporting tons of exotic fruit and savory/nutty layers, the creamy texture is beautifully offset by a wicked ...

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is the second vintage of this wine. Fruit comes primarily from Dutton vineyard. The 2017 Chardonnay Panthera charges out of the gate with energetic white peach, lime leaves, fresh apricots and lemongrass scents with wafts of honeycomb and nutmeg. Full-bodied, rich and seductive in the mouth, it has an enticing oiliness to the texture and plenty of racy freshness to balance, finishing long and savory."
