2017 Cary Q "New Beginnings - Shake Ridge Ranch" Amador County Grenache New!
2017 Cary Q "New Beginnings - Shake Ridge Ranch" Amador County Grenache

Winemaker's Notes: "Picked on a Harvest moon at 3 am on October 4th, 2017, this was our very first year working with Amador County fruit. I am extremely grateful for this gorgeous, organically farmed, Shake Ridge Ranch fruit. The 2017 vintage was a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. The Syrah fruit folded in a rustic, old-world flare that ignited the lighthearted Grenache with a bit more structure and balance. This vintage is easy, light and very approachable with alcohol coming in at 14.1%. This year produced unusually light-skinned grapes, therefore, ...Read More »

2017 Birichino "Besson Vineyard" Old Vine Central Coast Grenache New!
2017 Birichino "Besson Vineyard" Old Vine Central Coast Grenache

92 points Wine & Spirits: "This comes from head-trained vines planted in the 1910s, near the southern flanks of the Santa Cruz Mountains. It’s saturated with flavor, from baking spice to deep red-cherry notes, and structured by ripe, concentrated tannins. It’s a grenache with exceptional composure and grace. (PJC)" (02/2019)

2017 Bonny Doon "Clos du Gilroy" Central Coast Grenache Back In Stock!
2017 Bonny Doon "Clos du Gilroy" Central Coast Grenache

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "This bottling from four vineyards, with 12% Mourvèdre, shows loads of crushed carnation, rose petal, cranberry and raspberry on the nose. There is a compelling freshness to the palate, with potpourri and lavender flavors meshing into a background of pomegranate and rosewater. (MK)" (08/2018) 90 points Vinous: "Deep lurid red. Ripe spice-tinged red berry cherry and floral aromas along with hints of candied licorice and smoky minerals. Juicy and supple on the palate; a spine of acidity adds lift to sweet raspberry and cherry f ...Read More »

2016 Chateau de la Font du Loup "Le Puy Rolland" Châteauneuf-du-Pape New!
2016 Chateau de la Font du Loup "Le Puy Rolland" Châteauneuf-du-Pape

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Half of this all-Grenache cuvée matures in foudre, while the other half stays in concrete. The result is just over 1,000 cases of the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape le Puy Rolland—the best Font du Loup I've ever tasted. Pine and rosemary notes accent cherries and red berries, while hints of black tea, orange zest and rose petals appear on the silky finish. This is full-bodied but nearly weightless, with silky tannins on the finish. (JC)" (08/2018) 93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Slightly lighter colored, the 100% Grenache 20 ...Read More »

2014 Lepiane "Black Oak Vineyard" Santa Barbara County Grenache New!
2014 Lepiane "Black Oak Vineyard" Santa Barbara County Grenache

Winery notes: This is a light but bright red Grenache with beguiling aromas of tobacco, dried orange peel, and dark plum. This wine is light on its feet, but also delivers layers of texture in the mouth and a delicious long vibrant finish. It would pair deliciously with baked chicken with preserved lemons, paella or a selection of cured meats and artisan cheeses.

2007 Domaine de Bila Haut "Visitare Interiore Terrae (VIT)" Cotes de Roussillon Back In Stock!
2007 Domaine de Bila Haut "Visitare Interiore Terrae (VIT)" Cotes de Roussillon

94-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A very limited production blend of 65% Grenache (from ancient vines, on chalk-clay) and 35% Syrah (on schist) raised in barrel, then transferred to tank (from which it was tasted), the 2007 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France v.i.t (standing for “"visitare interiore terrae") displays aromas of fresh blackberry and cassis, violets, buddleia, and hyacinth. Low-toned coffee and wet stone notes nicely complement the ripe yet bright black fruits on the palate, which is marvelously threaded with a savory, ...Read More »
