Cesar Florido Moscatel Dorado Chipiona (375ml)
Back In Stock!
Cesar Florido, aka "Mr. Moscatel," produces sweet, fortified wines from Moscatel grapes, which thrive in the sandy soil of Chipiona (very proximate to Sanlucar de Barrameda). Though this area is famous for Moscatel, most of it is sold to the larger houses; Florido is one of only two bodegas producing moscatel wines independent of the local co-op. The sugar laden grapes are pressed and then ferment to about 2 degrees, at which point neutral grape spirit is added to fortify the wine up to 15%, leaving a good amount of sugar in the wine. 2011 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) 12-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival) (Pre-Arrival)
New!
99 points Wine Spectator: "A lovely, creamy, tropical style, with mango, papaya and guava notes lending a caressing feel, while singed almond and warm piecrust accents blossom through the lush finish. Just when you think that's all there is, toasted coconut, fig, orange blossom and persimmon details kick in, lending length and dimension. The finish is ridiculously long. Best from 2020 through 2060. (JM)" (03/2014) 98 points James Suckling: "Crazy minerality to this, with lots of dried mango, pineapple and papaya on the nose. Botrytis-spice and nutmeg u...

2017 Graham's Vintage Port (375ml)
Back In Stock!
98 points Decanter: "Based on Touriga Franca from south-facing slopes at Quinta dos Malvedos, with Touriga Nacional from quintas Vila Velha and Vale de Mealhadas (both predominantly north-facing), topped out with fruit from old vines at Quinta da Tua and 10% Sousão. It's a very deep blue-black colour with an expressive, super-ripe nose of plum, mint and bergamot which springs from the glass. The palate is rich, velvety and voluptuous in typical Graham’s style. The initial richness makes the tannins, which show up on the ripe, broad, mouthwatering finish....

2011 Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port 6-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival) (Pre-Arrival)
Back In Stock!
96-98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Taylor’s Vintage 2011 has a multifaceted, Pandora’s Box of a nose that is mercurial in the glass: cassis at first before blackberry and raspberry politely ask it to move aside, followed by wilted rose petals and Dorset plum. Returning after one 45 minutes that nose has shut up shop. The palate is sweet and sensual on the entry, plush and opulent, with copious black cherries, boysenberry and cassis fruit, curiously more reminiscent of Fonseca! It just glides across the palate with a mouth-coating, glyc...
