1990 Port Dundas 28 Year Old "Sovereign" K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Grain Scotch Whisky (750ml) New! Top Pick!
1990 Port Dundas 28 Year Old "Sovereign" K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Grain Scotch Whisky (750ml)

Built in 1811, Port Dundas grew throughout the 19th and early 20th century, by absorbing neighboring producers, it quickly became Scotland's largest distillery. During its long history on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal in Glasgow, this grain whisky powerhouse provided much of the juice for the Johnnie Walker and White Horse blended whiskies. With Diageo's expansion and modernization of Cameronbridge in the early 2000's, production at Port Dundas ceased, and in 2011 the landmark site was completely demolished. That closure makes this 28 year old s ...Read More »

1990 Graham's Malvedos Centenary Vintage Port Back In Stock!
1990 Graham's Malvedos Centenary Vintage Port

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is the sweetest, most fragrant, and most highly extracted of the three ports I tasted (Symington, Dow and Graham). Its flamboyant, up-front fat and decadence provide more initial appeal than the monstrous but restrained Dow. It also reveals extraordinary richness and a fabulous finish. These single Quinta ports are just as spectacular as any vintage port I tasted from 1983 or 1985. (RP)" (08/1992)

1990 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion Back In Stock!
1990 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Cheval Blanc is fast becoming my favorite modern-day vintage of this Saint Emilion estate and perhaps the 1990 is now exiting the slip-steam of the feted 1982. This is unequivocally a brilliant wine. The nose holds nothing back, a line of senses all doing the conga towards your olfactory senses: macerated dark cherries, exotic kirsch-like aromas, leather, mahogany bureau, touches of crème de cassis and herbs all vie for attention. The palate is full-bodied and cloaked in a silky, velvety texture that lea ...Read More »

1990 Viader Napa Valley Red Blend Back In Stock!
1990 Viader Napa Valley Red Blend

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Cabernet Franc, this beautifully packaged, elegant wine offers a complex, fragrant bouquet of spices, herbs, black fruits, and spring flowers. The wine is medium-bodied, with admirable definition, excellent richness, crisp underlying acidity, no obvious new oak, but a subtle, cassis, vanillin component to its flavors, and a stylish, medium-bodied finish. Several additional years in the bottle should result in more aromatic development. If the flavors broaden, this will clearly be a ...Read More »

1990 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac Back In Stock!
1990 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac

94 points Wine Spectator: "Concentrated. Medium-ruby color, with ripe plum, cigar tobacco and smoke aromas. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long finish. Still closed, almost clumsy. Give it time. (JS)" (08/2000) 93 points John Gilman: "The 1990 Pichon-Lalande is a very fine example of the vintage. The deep, complex and vibrant nose delivers a classy mélange of dark berries, coffee, fresh herb tones, cigar smoke, a fine base of dark soil tones and plenty of smoky, toasty new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very long, with admi ...Read More »

1990 Ausone, St-Emilion (Very High fill) Back In Stock!
1990 Ausone, St-Emilion (Very High fill)

92 points Wine Spectator: "Chewy, monolithic wine. Aromas of dried herbs and berries. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a tar, tobacco aftertaste. Puckers your mouth with tannins. Will improve with age.--1990 Bordeaux retrospective. (JS)" (08/2000) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "After revealing some amber at the edge as well as copious aromas of fruitcake, crushed rocks, incense, and a weedy character, the 1990 Ausone offers up sweet, jammy fruit notes as well as a firm finish with the tell-tale crushed rock minerality that this estate o ...Read More »
