1995 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (96RP, 95WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is fun to go back and forth between the 1995 and 1996, two superb vintages for Haut-Brion. The 1995 seems to have sweeter tannin and a bit more fat and seamlessness when compared to the more structured and muscular 1996. Certainly 1995 was a vintage that the brilliant administrator Jean Delmas handled flawlessly. The result is a deep ruby/purple-colored wine with a tight but promising nose of burning wood embers intermixed with vanilla, spice box, earth, mineral, sweet cherry, black currant, plum-like fruit, medium to full body, a high level of ripe but sweet tannin, and a finish that goes on for a good 40-45 seconds. Rita Hills Grenache (97RP, 95VN, 92WS) and 3-bottles of 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Duel" Syrah (99RP, 96VN, 95ST, 94WS). Of the 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Duel" Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A prodigious effort that possesses overflowing richness and depth, the 2008 Syrah The Duel (88% Syrah, 6% Grenache and 6% Viognier, all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard) delivers an off-the-hook drinking experience with decadent cassis, blackberry, smoked meats, crushed flowers and hints of spice all soaring from the glass. A full-bodied, unctuous Syrah that stays fresh and elegant, with vibrant acidity, it needs a solid decant if drinking anytime soon and will see its 20th birthday in fine form. Drink now-2028. 2015 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2015 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 97RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the greatest wines in the vintage is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a higher elevation hillside vineyard in Oakville that was raised in 90% new French oak barrels. Just magical stuff that has incredible aromatics of crème de cassis, white flowers, huge minerality, violets, and scorched earth. This is followed by a massive, opulent, yet weightless wine that has off the charts purity of fruit, fine, fine tannin, perfect balance, and a finish that won’t quit. This legendary beauty will benefit from 5-6 years of bottle age and keep for three to four decades." (12/2017)

2007 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 93ST, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Palengat Proprietary Red Wine is made up of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, with the balance Merlot and Petit Verdot. Deep purple in color, it delivers a captivating nose of olives, herbs, Asian spices, blackberry, and plum. Medium to full-bodied and elegant on the palate, it has outstanding volume and concentration, an opulent texture, and a suave personality. Already complex, it will continue to evolve with another 5-7 years of cellaring. Drink it from 2015 to 2027. Quilceda Creek remains Washington's benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. The Golitzins were ecstatic about the fruit quality in 2007, a near-perfect vintage from their perspective. (JM)" (08/2010)

2016 Reynvaan "Stonessence" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Reynvaan "Stonessence" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (92VN). Vinous: "Good medium red. A muskier, more extreme version of Syrah from The Rocks, offering aromas of red raspberry, plum, mocha, game, leather and tobacco leaf. Wild dark fruit flavors are accented by fruity peppercorn and complicated by some funky musky herbs. Is this tighter than the 2016 Syrah In the Rocks Estate or simply less expressive in the early going? Still, there are no hard edges here either, with the finish conveying a peppery nuance and dusty tannins. These two wines are distinctly Old World in style. (ST)" (11/2018)

Of the 2010 Bedrock Wine Company "Hudson Vineyard North - Pleine de Chene" Carneros Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2010 Syrah Hudson Vineyard Pleine De Chene is made from the northern side of the Hudson Vineyard and is 100% Syrah. This part of the ranch has cooler temperatures and the soils are richer in clay than those found on the southern side of the property. The Pleine de Chene is a decidedly more open, supple wine that places expressive fruit front and center. I don’t quite find the visceral thrill of the T’n’S, but in exchange the Pleine de Chene should drink well pret

Pungent and precise in the mouth, with bracing flavors of red fruits and minerals. Tightens up considerably on the very long, bracing, aromatic finish. This has the structure and verve for a graceful evolution in bottle. (ST)" (01/2013)

2002 Merry Edwards Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L)
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2002 Merry Edwards Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L) (91CG). Connoisseurs Guide: "Outgoing aromas of ripe cherries and dried flowers are given a real lift in richness by plenty of rich oak here, and this weighty offering's deep, well-extracted flavors follow in kind. There is a bit of velvet beginning to show, yet there is also a fair measure of tannin coming on at the finish, and things presently end on a slightly tougher note. The wine recalls the solidity of northerly Côte de Nuits Burgundies, and, if a wee bit gruff just now, it is very well-filled, and it seems sure to find refinement if allowed to sit quietly for three or four years." Dense, supple and rich in extract; juicy flavors of cassis and licorice. Offers impressive texture for the vintage, but comes across as distinctly less sweet than the Howell Mountain bottling. Finishes with very good length and ripe, fairly substantial tannins that grew slightly dry with aeration. (ST)" (11/2001)

Of the 2014 Williams Selyem "Calegari Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,Vinous writes: "Black cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco and licorice are all pushed front and center in the 2014 Pinot Noir Calegari Vineyard. Dark, powerful and dense, the 2014 offers notable depth and richness. Even so, there is an unrestrained wildness to the 2014 that is only likely to become more prominent with the passage of time. The virile tannins could use another year or two in bottle to soften. This is one of the more eccentric wines in the range, yet all the elements are nicely balanced throughout. The Calegari also feels like the ripest wine in the range. (AG)" (08/2016)

2013 Kosta Browne "Estate" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Kosta Browne "Estate" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. The 2013 Kosta Browne "Estate" Pinot Noir is a unique bottle from a winery that built its reputation on purchasing grapes from great vineyard sites. From the winery: "A celebration of two estate vineyards - one, a Sonoma Coast property developed specifically with Pinot Noir in mind and another residing within the Russian River Valley hosting some of the coolest conditions within the appellation. Gap's Crown, comprised of steep hillsides and sweeping elevation changes, is all about a professional singular focus on Pinot Noir. We find the fruit hangs a little longer creating more balanced and evolved flavors. We enjoy a long-term lease on these vines and have worked with the vineyard since 2006. Keefer Ranch, hidden in the southwestern corner of the Russian River Valley, features gently rolling hills, fog, breezes and fresh nights. The grapes farmed here hold a natural acidity and elegance. Thrills the mouth with decadently rich black currants, crême de cassis, milk chocolate, anise and cedar flavors, but never loses an impeccable sense of balance and control. *Best of 2009*" (06/2009)

1973 Gaja Barbaresco
Bid on this bottle of 1973 Gaja Barbaresco. Begun with a mere two hectares of vines nearly 160 years ago, Gaja is now a titan of the wine world. While Angelo Gaja is widely credited (rightly so) with moving the estate down the path on which it has now garnered its heaps of accolades, it was his father Giovanni who instilled in him the entrepreneurial spirit that led to many of the estate's most successful marketing and production innovations, including featuring the family name in bold lettering on the labels, promoting single-vineyard bottlings, and planting non-Piemontese varietals. This 1973 bottling is a time-capsule, a window back to when a legend was simply a legend in the making and bold risks were the name of the game. It's now fully mature, and ready for collectors and lovers of wine history, alike.

1982 Gruaud-Larose, St-Julien
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Gruaud-Larose, St-Julien (98RP, 96VN, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A massive wine that is clearly of first-growth quality in this vintage, the 1982 Gruaud Larose remains a youngster. A broodingly dense, thick, unctuously textured, inky/plum/garnet/purple color offers up scents of beef blood, steak tartare, cassis, herbs, tobacco, and underbrush. One of the most concentrated wines of the vintage (as well as one of the most concentrated Bordeaux’s I have ever tasted), it is a huge, full-bodied, weighty, rich wine whose tannins are getting silkier and silkier. It appears set for another 30-40 years of life. This behemoth is a singularly profound example of Gruaud Larose that continues to justify its legendary status. Anticipated maturity: now-2050. 1973 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1973 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JG, 90RP). John Gilman: "The 1973 Martha’s Vineyard is fully mature and is drinking beautifully at nearly forty years of age. The deep and utterly classic nose offers up scents of red and black cherries, petroleum jelly, fresh mint, chipotle peppers, spice tones, a beautiful base of soil and a nice touch of nutskins in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, fullbodied and absolutely à point, with a silky palate impression, lovely intensity of flavor, lovely complexity and stunning length and grip on the perfectly focused and dancing finish. The ’73 Martha’s Vineyard will not last anywhere near as long as wines such as the 1974 or 1975, but it still has plenty of life in it and will continue to dazzle for decades to come. Just a beautiful bottle of wine. 2011-2045." (06/2011)

1982 L'Evangile, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 1982 L'Evangile, Pomerol (98RP, 97JS, 95VN). This opulent, full-bodied Pomerol caresses the palate with layers and layers of glycerin and fruit. The tannin is barely noticeable in this massive, rich, gorgeous effort. The wine is medium-bodied, with beautifully sweet fruit. This linear, more compressed style of Margaux possesses a good inner-core of sweet fruit, and a charming, harmonious personality. 1980 Chalone Vineyard "Reserve" Chalone Pinot Noir
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1980 Chalone Vineyard "Reserve" Chalone Pinot Noir. 4 stars Michael Broadbent in Vintage Wine. "A good vintage following a long, cool summer with almost daily fog rolling over the hills from the Pacific; a warm September ended with a heatwave which sent the sugar levels soaring. Wines of power rather than elegance." Perched high on the western slopes of the remote Gavilan Mountain Range, 1,800 feet above California's Salinas Valley, Chalone Vineyard represents a singular convergence of terroir and winemaking. It's a site that was deemed unique enough to have its very own AVA! Chalone Pinot Noir, produced in true Burgundian fashion, shows uncommon power, depth and complexity. It’s medium to full-bodied, silky, and elegant on the palate, with a rounded, sexy texture and perfect balance. Bid on this bottle of 2012 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 98JS, 98WE, 97CG, 96WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Shafer’s flagship wine, and one of the world’s greatest Cabernet Sauvignons, is the Hillside Select, which comes from the rocky, volcanic soils on hillsides above the winery. Vineyard production is small, and the wine an incredible example of Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in 100% new oak for 32 months and bottled unfiltered, this can generally be expected to be one of the top dozen or so Cabernet Sauvignons in virtually any vintage in Napa, and certainly possesses 25 to possibly 50 years of aging potential. The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is a perfect wine. It elicits more than a few 'wows' when you smell the incredible notes of charcoal, graphite and subtle toast, buttressed and dominated by blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry fruit. Bid on this bottle of 1982 Trotanoy, Pomerol (97JS, 97RP, 96JG, 95DC, 94ST, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Trotanoy dinner at Sketch in London. This bottle of 1982 Trotanoy repeats the performance of the one served at Zachys 1982 dinner in Hong Kong. It has a wonderful Merlot-scented bouquet that is floral and exuberant, though intriguingly it develops more Cabernet Franc/meaty aromas with continued aeration. It becomes rounded and sensual with roasted chestnuts emerging with time. The palate has a sweet entry, as one would expect for this vintage. It is plush, smooth and rounded in the mouth with dark plum and mulberry notes, a saline tincture and that chestnut motif continuing right to the youthful finish. After 30 years, this still has many years ahead. Tasted September 2012. (NM)" (06/2017)

1970 Montrose, St-Estèphe
Bid on this bottle of 1970 Montrose, St-Estèphe (95JG). John Gilman: "The ’70 vintage of Montrose has always been one of my favorites for this property, and this particular bottle showed outstandingly well. The bouquet is very, very deep and delivers a wonderfully complex mélange of cassis, black raspberry, cigar box, woodsmoke, a stellar expression of Montrose earthy soil, herbs and a judicious framing of cedary, spicy wood. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, young and urgent, with great acids, a rock solid core of black fruit, excellent expression of terroir, and profound length and grip on the mineral-infused finish. The ’70 Montrose is still a tad on the young side, and will continue to improve over the next twenty years, and should have no difficulty lasting another fifty! To give some idea of just how good the ’70 Montrose is, we paired it up with the ’70 Latour! I have a very, very hard time imagining that the highly-touted 1989 and 1990 will ever be as good as the 1970 Mont

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Auguste Clape Cornas (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Clape's 1990 Cornas is outstanding. The color is an opaque black/purple, and the nose offers up rich, ripe aromas of black fruits, licorice, and spices. Superconcentrated, with a full-bodied, highly extracted, mouth-filling taste, this example of Cornas possesses moderate tannin, adequate acidity, and a smashingly long finish. It is also relatively refined for a Cornas, displaying no signs of the rustic tannin or funky, earthy smells many Cornas can possess. (RP)" (01/1997)

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 7" Central Coast Red Blend (99JD, 99VN, 97RP). Vinous: "The 2013 Next of Kyn - No. 7 Cumulus Vineyard is a real stunner. Rich, explosive and overwhelmingly beautiful, it takes hold of all the senses and never lets go. Even with all of its power and richness, the 2013 retains striking aromatic lift and energy. I would give it another few years to settle down, but it is superb today. This is an extraordinary wine by any measure. Don't miss it. In 2013, the blend is 45% Syrah, 29% Grenache, 15% Petite Sirah, 5% Mourvèdre, 4.5% Touriga Nacional and 1.5% Roussanne, done with 58% whole clusters and aged for 30 months in French oak. 2013 Andremily "No. 2" Santa Barbara County Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Andremily "No. 2" Santa Barbara County Syrah (99JD, 99RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The second release from Andremily's Jim Binns, the No 2 is an utterly profound blend of 85% Syrah, 11% Mourvèdre and 4% Viognier that saw a touch of whole cluster fermentation and 23 months in 62% new French oak barrels. Its inky purple color is followed by an incredibly pure bouquet of creme de cassis, pepper, caramelized meat, violets and hints of lavender. Big, full-bodied and luxuriously textured, it has a firm, structured, concentrated mid-palate as well as ripe tannin, notable freshness and a finish that just won't quite. Give this incredibly youthful, even backwards 2013 four to five years of cellaring, and enjoy bottles over the following two decades. Hats off to the team at Andremily! (JD)" (05/2016)

Silky and gracious on the palate, the 2010 stands out for its pure balance and harmony. Absolutely nothing is out of place. Sweet, beautifully articulated fruit, expressive aromas and a silky finish round out the impeccable Vine Hill Chardonnay. This is a wine of total finesse. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay CIX Estate is beguiling in its complexity and singularity, offering up scents of smoked nuts, waxed lemons, crushed rocks and coriander seed with hints of crusty bread, honeysuckle, baked peaches and clover honey. Full-bodied, full-on creamy and densely laden with layers of citrus and savory flavors, it has just enough freshness and wonderful length. (LPB)" (10/2017)

1997 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo (94RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I underestimated this wine from barrel, but now that the great old man of the village of Barolo, Bartolo Mascarello, has gotten it in bottle, it is an impressive, old style, heavyweight effort that will age for three decades. A dark plum/garnet color is accompanied by a striking bouquet of cinnamon, balsam wood, roses, tar, minerals, and cherry liqueur. There is good acidity, a broad, full-bodied, super-concentrated palate, and tell-tale truffle, leather, and dried herb notes. Powerful and long, this well-delineated, gorgeously pure, structured Barolo is a classic from the old school of Piedmontese winemaking. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2030. (RP)" (06/2001)

1998 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo

Powerful redcurrant, camphor and mint aromas, with some dried flower high tones. Very ripe and rich but uncompromisingly dry and youthfully aggressive, with strong acidity and powerful structure. Hiding its density today. Finishes bright and firmly tannic, with captivating licorice and raspberry notes. This already displays a broad range of Barolo perfumes. (ST) 93+" (11/2002)

Bid on this bottle of 1988 Chave Hermitage Blanc (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "To celebrate the promising 2018 harvest, which was underway during my visit, Jean-Louis Chave opened a bottle of the 1988 Hermitage Blanc. Stunning for its truffle-like aromas and rich, marmalade flavors, it remains fresh and zesty enough to suggest it's in no danger of falling over. There's a texture of finely crushed stone and an incredibly long finish. From pristine provenance, this is why properly cellaring wine is so important to ultimately enjoying it to its greatest potential. Drink through 2025. (JC)" (10/2018)

2004 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru ((93-95BH), 95ST, 95WE). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright dark red. Initially reticent aromas of cherry, cola, flowers, pepper and sweet oak. Dense and fine-grained but youthfully imploded, with a strong stony minerality keeping the red cherry, bitter chocolate and floral flavors under wraps. Finishes very juicy and very long, with intriguing pepper and floral nuances. The recorked bottle 24 hours later showed brilliantly complex aromas and flavors of black raspberry, bitter chocolate, rose petal and minerals and superb sappy persistence. A great expression of soil and a highlight of the vintage. I promise you that I drained the bottle to the last drop. (ST)" (04/2007)

2013 Turley "Pesenti Vineyard" Paso Robles Petite Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Turley "Pesenti Vineyard" Paso Robles Petite Syrah (98RP, 96VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Petite Syrah Pesenti Vineyard is almost black/purple in color. This is another organic vineyard owned by Larry Turley, and the Petite Syrah was planted from cuttings from Napa’s Hayne Vineyard. The limestone soils here have produced what potentially could turn out to be one of the greatest Petite Syrahs ever made, rivaling some of the Ridge Petite Syrahs from the 1970s and 1980s. An absolutely amazing wine, but almost ferocious to taste at this point, the wine has concentration beyond belief. Inky black/purple, with stunning blueberry and floral notes mixed with blackberry and crushed rock give the wine laser-like precision and an unmistakable minerality. Massive and full-bodied, this wine needs a good 10-20 years and should be drinking well 50 or more years from now. If you want to buy a birth year wine for your children or grandchildren, thi

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Sentiers" (91BH, 91RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Groffier 2005 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers offers sweet and at the same time tart black cherry and black raspberry, black tea and blond tobacco, taking on a faintly bitter herbal edge in its finish of humus and caramel-tinged black fruits. This displays formidable density and lightly cooked fruit intensity quite in contrast with the personality of the Hauts Doix but it is much less winsome today, and seems to want yet more time in the cellar. 2007 Domaine Ponsot Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Ponsot Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (94JG, 93BH, 93RP, 93WS). John Gilman: "As fine as the Griotte and Charmes are in 2007, the Chapelle takes the quality up to the next level in this vintage, as it combines the precision and nascent complexity of the Charmes and the deeper and sappier profile of the Griotte. The bouquet is outstanding, as the wine jumps from the glass in a blaze of black cherries, cocoa, game, blood orange, and black soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very sappy at the core, with great focus and balance, fine-grained tannins, tangy acids and outstanding length and grip on the complex and classy finish. A great bottle of Chapelle. Drink between 2014-2040." (02/2009)

2003 Giuseppe e Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Giuseppe e Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo (93RP, 91ST, 90JG, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Barolo Monprivato is made in an atypically big, powerful style loaded with ripe fruit supported by plenty of structure. It boasts an enticing palate presence and a uniquely intense personality. The classic Monprivato notes of ripe cherries, roses, minerals, flowers and herbs are present... In 2003 Mascarello was more severe than normal in his green harvesting of the vineyard as he wanted to lighten the load on his plants to reduce their stress. He was also helped considerably by the compact, moisture-retentive soils. Readers who prefer more classically-styled versions of Monprivato may want to revisit the 1999 and 2001 although Mascarello told me he prefers the 2003 to the 2001. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2023. 2000 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac (95RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Château Grand Puy Lacoste is an exceptional wine from Xavier Borie. It has a brilliant nose of blackberry, crushed stone, graphite and cedar. Putting it to one side for ten to 15 minutes reveals subtle mint-like aromas that whisk you straight to Pauillac. The palate is smooth and silky, cloaking the tannic frame of this GPL so that you barely notice it. But that will stand it in good stead for the long-term, the cornerstone of all great wines from this estate. Then there is that hint of spice on the aftertaste—the show ain't over yet. Served alongside a magnum of Pichon Baron 2000, I would say that at the moment, it does not quite possess the same level of precision. However, it remains a magnificent Pauillac to cherish long-term. Bid on this bottle of 2000 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien (97JD, 97RP, 95WS, 93JS, 91W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The plushest, most ostentatious and dramatic of all the Leovilles in 2000, this wine is already sumptuous, displaying some nuances in its huge nose of vanilla bean, black chocolate, jammy black cherries, cassis, and graphite in a flamboyant style. Opulent, savory, rich, and full-bodied, it is a head-turning, prodigious wine and a complete contrast to the extracted behemoth of Leoville Barton and the backward, classic Leoville Las Cases. The Poyferre’s low acidity, sweet tannin and an already gorgeous mouthfeel make it a wine to drink now as well as over the next 25 or more years. (RP)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Vieux-Château-Certan, Pomerol (96RP, 95W&S, 95WS, 94JS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the top wines of the vintage is the exquisite 2006 Vieux Chateau Certan. A blend of 83% Merlot and 17% Cabernet Franc, it is a stunningly rich effort boasting an inky/blue/purple color as well as a gorgeous nose of forest floor, coffee, toast, and extravagant levels of black currants and blackberries. Hints of charcoal and flowers add to the wine’s exquisite character. What’s remarkable in this full-bodied wine is that nearly 100% new oak is used, yet the oak is largely drowned out by the wine’s concentration and complex personality. This full-bodied Vieux Chateau Certan should be reasonably approachable in 3-4 years but last for at least three decades. This great success merits kudos to proprietor Alexandre Thienpont.
