2006 Philip Togni Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2006 Philip Togni Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, 95VN, 93ST). Vinous: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is just beginning to show the first signs of aromatic development. Graphite, incense, smoke add nuance to the inky blue and purplish-toned fruits. A wine of extreme vibrancy and freshness, the 2006 has enough energy to drink well for another two decades. This is a distinctly Old World-leaning Cabernet from Togni that still has considerable upside. (AG)" (12/2016)

Aromas of blackberries and flowers follow through to a full body, with ultra-fine tannins and a polished tannin mouth-feel. This is really structured, yet elegant. Wonderful purity. Better in 2014, but who can wait?" (12/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Keever Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN). Vinous: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a very beautiful wine, especially within the context of the year. Sweet red cherry and purplish berry fruit, lavender and spice are nicely woven together in this very pretty, understated wine. Medium in body and classy, Keever's Cabernet has so much to offer. Above all else, the 2015 has a good bit of freshness, something that is rare in this vintage. (AG)" (12/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Smith-Haut-Lafitte Rouge, Pessac-Léognan (100RP, 96JS, 96WS, 94ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest wine ever made by proprietors Daniel and Florence Cathiard, the 2009 Smith-Haut-Lafitte exhibits an opaque blue/purple color in addition to a glorious nose of acacia flowers, licorice, charcoal, blueberries, black raspberries, lead pencil shavings and incense. This massive, extraordinarily rich, unctuously textured wine may be the most concentrated effort produced to date, although the 2000, 2005 and 2010 are nearly as prodigious. A gorgeous expression of Pessac-Leognan with sweet tannin, emerging charm and delicacy, and considerable power, depth, richness and authority, it should age effortlessly for 30-40+ years. Bravo! 1967 de Fargues, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1967 de Fargues, Sauternes. The Sauternes produced by Château de Fargues is the result of nature's gifts and of motivation. Château de Fargues is fortunate to have exceptional terroir. The micro-climate of Sauternes is characterized by a subtle alternation between humidity, sun, and wind. All conditions are triangulated to allow the development of Botrytis. At Fargues, the harvesting method entails passing through the vineyard a number of times to select only the grapes (or part of bunches) that have been attacked by this "noble rot." Such attention to detail leads to very small yields - one vine generally producing only a single glass. In addition, the wine is allowed to mature for a long time in barrels and bottles before it reaches its peak. Winery note: "The tasting has a perfect balance and a complex bouquet with aromas of candied fruit, quince, honey, and apricot. It is fresh, round, and has very nice minerality. This wine has a fabulous aging potential."

1979 Buena Vista Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1979 Buena Vista Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon. Founded in 1857 by Agoston Haraszthy de Mokesa, Buena Vista is considered to be the oldest winery in northern California and its founder as the father of California wine. Agoston Haraszthy de Mokesa immigrated to the US from Hungary in 1840 and eventually made his way to northern California in hopes of finding his fortune in the Gold Rush. Instead, he saw Sonoma's fantastic potential for growing vinifera grapes and he began planting vines in Carneros. In 1943, the winery was purchased by Frank and Antonia Bartholomew and they brought on the famous winemaker André Tchelistcheff. They replanted the vineyards, restored the winery, and produced their first vintage in 1949. In 2011, Buena Vista became part of Boisset Family Estates, which owns several wineries, including Raymond Vineyards in Napa.

2005 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 96JD, 95WE, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting off the more southern Rhone-inspired blends, the 2005 James Berry Vineyard is a brilliant effort that’s drinking perfectly. Made from 70% Syrah, 20% Mourvedre and 10% Grenache, it gives up incredible aromas of sweet blackcurrants, blackberry liqueur, spiced meats, licorice and roasted meats that are just now starting to show hints of evolution. Sweetly fruited and with full-bodied richness, this beauty is hard to resist and has fabulous concentration, sweet tannin and a seamless finish. It will have another decade of longevity, yet there is no harm in drinking it now. (JD)" (06/2014)

1970 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien
Bid on this bottle of 1970 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien (94JG, 92RP). John Gilman: "I have been a big fan of the 1970 Ducru-Beaucaillou, but in the past I have always found it just a half step behind the superb 1966. However, the most recent tasting seemed to indicate that the wine is showing more structural integrity and greater depth than it did for the last decade and a half, and it may well be that the wine has simply remained a bit young and I have been underestimating it in the past. This most recent bottle offers up a stunning and still youthful nose of cassis, black cherries, a touch of red currant, cigar smoke, nutskins, hints of blood orange, gravel, fresh herbs and a touch of tobacco ash. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and very suave on the attack, with excellent mid-palate depth, moderate tannins, very good acidity and outstanding length and grip on the perfectly balanced and complex finish. Just a beautiful vintage for Ducru. (Drink between 2012-2040) 94

1980 Montevertine "Le Pergole Torte" Toscana Rosso
Bid on this bottle of 1980 Montevertine "Le Pergole Torte" Toscana Rosso (90VN). Vinous: "Now fully mature, the 1980 Pergole Torte is in a gorgeous place right now. Dried cherry, mint, tobacco, iron, savory herbs and cedar are all nicely delineated in the glass. The acidity of Sangiovese gives the wine its last vestiges of freshness and brightness, but 1980 is fully tertiary and needs to be drunk. This is a very pretty, at times lean, expression of Sangiovese that reflects the personality of the late harvest and character of Radda itself. All things considered, the 1980 has retained considerable color and overall intensity for a wine of its age. With time in the glass, the angular edges soften, and what remains is a lovely, mature wine. "You have to remember that at the time, Montevertine was a small property with three or four people who worked there. It was essentially a hobby for my father," explains Martino Manetti. "Nineteen eighty was the year that my father started getting serio

Decanter: "Awesome, richly textured, powerful still with its ripe yet now-savoury red fruits on display, the sweetness edged out by truffles and spice. A great wine that remains full of life. One of the best Pauillacs in the vintage. 8% Petit Verdot finishes the blend (although in all likelihood this is the vineyard planting, not the specific blend that was being recorded). 1975 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri
Bid on this bottle of 1975 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (92JD, 90WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Deep in colour, this swings back to a powerful richness, whilst remaining surprisingly young, with its tannins in line and still kicking up a wonderful party. It has some real bite. Perhaps the fruits are a little fleshy, a little more flattened out, but this has plenty to say. The mid palate maintains a full, well structured cushion of redcurrant and soft cherry fruit. When I return to the glass after half an hour it retains its shape, really impressive, textured, velvety, and full of pleasure. (JA)" (10/2016)

1974 Silver Oak North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1974 Silver Oak North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was a strong showing for a wine that was drinkable on the day it was released. It reveals plenty of ripe, jammy, curranty fruit aromas intertwined with scents of melted road tar, herbs, and toast. There is fine fruit, glycerin, and richness, as well as a spicy, alcoholic finish in this fleshy, corpulent wine. At twenty years of age it reveals the Silver Oak style and confirms that these wines, even though delicious young, can age more gracefully than some wine critics (myself included) have suggested. A full-bodied beauty, it offers up aromas of plums, anise, forest floor, black and blue fruits, and gamy, sweet, aged beef. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1986 Mouton-Rothschild is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot that was picked from 2 October until 16 October. Winemaker Philippe Dhalluin, who was not working at the property back then, told me that the pH was fairly low at 3.54 when it is usually around 3.75, due to the natural tartaric acid in the vines. It has a powerful and intense bouquet as always: exemplary graphite and cedar scents, a touch of black pepper and incense. It seems to unfurl in the glass, like a motor revving its engine. The palate is beautifully balanced with its trademark firm tannic structure, a Mouton-Rothschild with backbone and masculinity. Layers of black fruit intermingling with mint and graphite, a hint of licorice emanating from the Merlot, gently fanning out and my God, it is incredibly long. It is not like the 1

2013 Sine Qua Non "Female" California Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "Female" California Grenache (98RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Manfred's 2013 Grenache Female checks in as a blend of 78% Grenache, 19% Syrah and 3% Mourvèdre that is mostly from his Eleven Confessions estate vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills, yet has smaller portions from his Cumulus, The Third Twin and Bien Nacido vineyards. Seeing just over 24 months in a mix of demi-muids, 300-liter Hog Heads and barrique, it has a sensational bouquet of spring flowers, black raspberries, black cherries, violets, licorice and camphor. Reminding me of a great vintage of Raymond Usseglio's Cuvée Imperiale, this full-bodied, elegant Grenache is impeccably balanced, has a full and layered mid-palate (which is missing from just about every other Grenache made in California), and sweet tannin on the finish. It's almost impervious to air and didn't budge an inch over the three days I followed this bottle. It will cruise for over two decades. (JD)" (05/20

Wine Enthusiast: "This wine continues a long-standing tradition, showing a mastery of the art of blending. It's made using grapes that are sourced from at least six vineyards scattered from Yountville to St. Helena. Right out of the bottle, it's a soft, smoothly tannic wine that's rich in blackberry jam, black currant, blueberry, raspberry, dark chocolate and spice flavors. Just gorgeous now, and it should develop bottle complexity for at least the next 10 years." (12/2012)

2013 Domaine Dujac Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Aux Malconsorts"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Dujac Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Aux Malconsorts" (94JG, 94VN, 93BH, 93ST). Vinous: "The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru is actually more immediate and pleasurable than its 2012 counterpart at the moment: vigorous red berry fruit intermingled with orange pith and crushed stone. It is not as complex as say, the 2010, but it conveys a feeling of just wanting to give pleasure. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin intertwined with a fine thread of acidity. There is a mixture of red and black fruit, a hint of spice and sous-bois that segue into a very harmonious finish. The 2013 is endowed with more weight and concentration than I was expecting. Could it be the dark horse of the Aux Malconsorts thus far? Very impressive. Tasted at Flint Wines's Domaine Dujac tasting in London. (NM)" (03/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (96WE, 93WS, 92ST, 91RP). Wine Enthusiast: "Surprisingly lively and fresh, this is still a seriously impressive wine. The high proportion of Semillon is now coming to dominate the Sauvignon, to give a wine that is finely shaped, full of creamy flavors of wood and some white peach. In 10 years, this will still be fresh, in 15 just mature. (RV)" (06/2005)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Colgin "Tychson Hill Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96JS, 93VN, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From Colgin’s first-growth quality estate vineyard, Tychson Hill, located north of St. Helena, on the western slopes, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard is performing far better out of bottle than it did from cask. An extraordinary bouquet of flowers, cedar, tobacco leaf, black currants, blueberries, chocolate, and scorched earth scents is followed by a wine of prodigious concentration, purity, depth, and sweet tannins. An amazing effort for this vintage, it is a compelling bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. (RP)" (12/2008)

This is a fabulous wine, meant to evolve over three decades. It offers up notes of charcoal, scorched earth, blackcurrant, blackberry, chocolate and a touch of espresso. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98WE, 97WS, 96DC, 95ST, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An absolutely amazing wine... It comes from one of the few biodynamic vineyards in Bordeaux, but you are likely to see many more, given the success that Tesseron seems to be having at all levels, both in his vineyards and in his fermentation/winemaking. An astounding, compelling wine with the classic Pauillac nose more often associated with its cross-street neighbor, Mouton-Rothschild, creme de cassis, there are also some violets and other assorted floral notes. The wine has off-the-charts massiveness and intensity but never comes across as heavy, overbearing or astringent. The freshness, laser-like precision, and full-bodied, massive richness and extract are simply remarkable to behold and experience. It is very easy, to become jaded tasting such great wines from a great vintage, but it is really a privilege to taste something as amazing as this. Unfort

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru "Chaignots" (93JG, 92BH, 92VN, 91RP). John Gilman: "The Chaignots is very lovely and returns to the red fruity theme of the vintage chez Mugneret in 2014, wafting from the glass in a very classy blend of cherries, red plums, a touch of Vosne spice elements, dusty rose, gamebird, soil and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and tightly-knit out of the blocks, with a rock solid core, ripe tannins and a long, vibrant and still quite primary finish. This will be terrific, but it is going to need some bottle age to start to stir. (Drink between 2025-2065) " (11/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 94RP, 92VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is in essence a second wine, but it sure doesn’t taste like one. Its deep purple color is followed by pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, dusty, loamy soil notes, extraordinary depth of fruit, ripeness and good acidity. This opulent, round beauty is ideal for drinking over the next decade or more. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. The palate is wonderfully intense and elegant, revealing fresh berry and earth layers that are superbly supported by very ripe, fine tannins and the right amount of freshness, finishing long with mineral nuances. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Sine Qua Non "Piranha Waterdance" California Syrah (100RP, 99JD, (95-97VN), 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Blended of 81% Syrah, 8% Petite Sirah, 6% Mourvèdre, 4% Touriga Nacional and 1% Graciano, sourced from 34% The Third Twin, 35% Eleven Confessions and 31% Cumulus (all estate vineyards), the provocative, inky purple colored 2014 Syrah Piranha Waterdance was made using 26% whole cluster and hits the scent scene with exuberant, pure crème de cassis, blackberry cordial and blueberry coulis notes with hints of espresso, licorice, garrigue and menthol, plus a gorgeous underlying perfume of red roses. The full-bodied palate is oh-so-elegant and pretty, revealing very finely pixelated tannins that beautifully frame the almost electric intensity, culminating in an epically long, licorice and chocolate-laced finish. Too stunning for mere words and rude to even try--just drink it. (LPB)" (09/2017)

Sweet, lifted and incredibly silky, the Fuées hovers on the palate with the effortless grace of a ballerina. There is plenty of depth, but as is often the case, the Fuées is built on themes that are implied rather than overtly stated, just as one might find in more modern styles of art or music. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96ST, 95CG, 95WE, 95WS, 93W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Monte Bello ,72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot is simply magnificent. Layers of dark red fruit, flowers, spices and graphite are all woven together in this utterly impeccable wine. The 2009 is an especially huge, intense Monte Bello, yet a sexy, silky core of fruit lies within its imposing frame. Everything comes together in this glorious, radiant wine. Last year the 2009 had some pretty stiff competition from the 2010, but today it is simply firing on all cylinders. Eric Baugher describes 2009 as a year with cold weather early on, followed by heat in early June and July. The fruit was brought in on October 12, just before an intense downpour swept through the region. There is a purity and silkiness supported by structure in the 2009 that is impossible not to admire. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of Jérôme Prévost "La Closerie Les Beguines" Extra Brut Champagne (95VN, 93JG, 92RP). According to Vinous: "A wine of crystalline tension and precision, the NV (2012) Les Beguines has been exceptional on the two occasions I have had it thus far. Scents of dried pear, almond, mint and sage open up in the bouquet, but it is the wine's textural brilliance that stands out above all else. Salivating and refreshing on the palate, the 2012 is virtually impossible to put down, so captivating is its overall balance.
