2001 Calera "Reed Vineyard" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Calera "Reed Vineyard" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir (90RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I tasted four 2001 Calera Pinot Noirs, including the 2001 Pinot Noir Reed Vineyard (a 4.4 acre parcel) whose light ruby color could cause it to be mistaken for a rose. Notions of sassafras, earth, kirsch liqueur, and spice emerge from this delicate, but authoritatively flavorful, medium-bodied, spicy Pinot. Reminiscent of a premier cru from the Cotes de Beaune, it should be consumed over the next 7-8 years. (RP)" (08/2005)

Of the 2003 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape,Wine Enthusiast writes: "One of the big names of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and this wine justifies the fame of the Perrin family’s property. It is a rich style, but, more importantly, it is beautifully made, structured, dense, with red jelly fruits, a touch of vanilla and a fat, full-bodied, but firm aftertaste. This is a wine for aging—give it at least five years before touching it. *Editors' Choice* (RV)" (12/2005)

Of the 2000 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Absolutely firing on all cylinders and with an open, borderline slutty profile, the 2000 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a dream on the nose, showing complex, meaty aromas of black truffle, spice rack, charcuterie, and garrigue. There’s fantastic intensity here and you can smell this wine as soon as the bottle is opened. Just as good on the palate, the wine sports a medium to full-bodied, ripe profile, perfect balance, and a dazzling finish that has you looking for another glass. I’m a fan and while this will no doubt continue to shine, don’t hesitate to pop bottles now." (09/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Bruno Clavelier Vosne-Romanee "Les Hautes Maizières" Vieilles Vignes ((89-91ST), (87-90BH), 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium red. Sexy, complex nose melds cherry, raspberry and smoke. Offers good fat and sweetness but with integrated acidity giving shape to the palate. Nicely broad, complex and deep wine with a captivating smoky minerality. Finishes with plenty of dusty tannins and very good length. (ST)" (03/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine Comte Armand Pommard 1er Cru "Clos des Epéneaux" (93VN, 92BH, 90RP). Vinous: "Bright medium red, with little sign of amber. Expressive aromas of redcurrant, cinnamon, mocha, leather and earth, with complicating ferrous notes of iron and tobacco. Wonderfully silky and fine-grained, showing lovely class and lift to its red fruit and spice flavors. Not a powerhouse but remarkably suave and smooth for Pommard. Really rises and lingers on the highly aromatic finish. Still on an upswing. (ST)" (02/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (98RP, 95VN, 94WE, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Offering up notes of cracked black pepper, black truffles, smoked duck, plums, blackberry and violet, the 2013 Syrah Armada Vineyard isn't as powerful or texturally lavish as the 2014, but at this early stage it appears to be longer and more intense. At 13.4%, it's also slightly lower in alcohol. It's full-bodied, sapid and layered, displaying excellent cut and energy, and I'd expect it to drink well for the next two decades. (WK)" (06/2018)

2002 Domaine de Courcel Pommard 1er Cru "Grand Clos des Épenots"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine de Courcel Pommard 1er Cru "Grand Clos des Épenots" (94VN, 91BH, 90WS). Vinous: "Deep red; in fact, almost ruby, showing virtually no sign of development. Knockout nose combines red fruits, iron and spices, along with some balsamic earth notes and a whiff of caramel; I was reminded of a cave à cigares. Full, lush and utterly seamless; large-scaled but weightless, with the redcurrant and earth flavors showing the beginning of truffle. Totally filled in but still a young wine. This is great right now but has plenty of ripe tannic support to go on for many years. Winemaker Yves Confuron reminded me that "we have much better raw materials today, and we also do much better work in the vines." (ST)" (02/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine Jean Grivot Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru "Boudots" (92ST, 91BH, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good dark red. Complex nose combines cassis, violet, herbs, smoke and flint. Sweet, lush, intense and impressively primary; really expands in the mouth and lingers on the aftertaste. Offers compelling fruit and silky texture for the year. Tannins are sweet. Grivot told me he believes his 2001s will gain in flesh over the next six months, but this wine is hardly lacking for texture and richness. (ST)" (03/2004)

Wine Spectator: "Aromas of mineral, blackberry and licorice lead to a full body, with lots of racy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. 2001 Lucien Le Moine Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Cazetiers"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Lucien Le Moine Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Cazetiers". This has an absolutely lovely nose and classic character. This is made from 90 year old vines, and there is little doubt about that when you taste it. The pure, old-vine concentration is remarkable. The aromatics promise and the wine delivers. Red fruits, toasty oak, griottes, floral and lovely. Supple and integrated on the palate, plush and lovely. There is lots to like here. My notes were accompanied by a marginal note saying simply: "WOW". (Keith Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy Buyer) Steve Tanzer gives it 90-92 Points saying: "($76) Medium red. Sappy, liqueur-like aromas of raspberry, smoke and game. Creamy-sweet and lush in the mouth, with superripe kirsch and oak flavors and a seamless texture. But this also features sound, harmonious acidity. Finishes with firm tannins and subtle, sappy persistence." (International Wine Cellar, 04/03)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spicy 2002 Vosne-Romanee Aux Reas was crafted from 50 year-old vines that yielded 34 hectoliters per hectare. Lush, soft, and sensual, it bastes the palate with black cherries and spices. This beautiful medium-bodied wine is wonderfully ripe and harmonious. (RP)" (06/2004)

Wine Enthusiast: "There is a fine steely, mineral character to the wine that parallels the ripe yellow fruit, toast and quince jelly flavors. 2006 Patricia Green "Eason Vineyard" Dundee Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Patricia Green "Eason Vineyard" Dundee Hills Pinot Noir (90ST). 90 (+?) points from Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Light red. Intensely floral, complex bouquet of raspberry, fresh and dried flowers, cinnamon and mocha. Fleshy and sweet, with medium body to the intense red berry flavors. Dusty tannins gain strength with air and add grip to the long, sappy finish. I'd bet on this gaining complexity with a few years in the cellar." (May/June '08) From Patricia Green's 2006 Vintage Report: "This vineyard is perhaps our favorite site. Located toward the bottom of Breyman Orchard Rd in the Dundee Hills this site is now 23 years old. As with Balcombe Vineyard we finally experienced a reasonable crop off the site for the first time since 2002. We have been working with this vineyard since 1994 and the last three vintages have been painful for us to have such small quantities from this interesting little vineyard. Full-bodied, with layers of fruit that give an apple, honey and lemon rind character. Fresh acidity gives this baby white plenty of backbone. Even better than the 2001." (06/05) 91-92 points Stephen Tanzer: "(90% sauvignon blanc, 5% sauvignon gris and 5% semillon) Good pale color. Pungent pineapple, mint and musky honeysuckle on the nose. Sweet, dense and juicy, with lovely fruit concentration. At once succulent and creamy, with a crunchy primary fruit character and firm balancing acidity to extend the finish. 1994 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 94WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon, which I have drunk with great pleasure despite its backwardness, possesses a full-bodied, multi-layered personality, with plenty of tannin, but sufficient earthy, black currant/plum-like fruit to balance out the wine's structure. With an opaque purple color, a high tannin level, and gorgeous layers of fruit and intensity, it will be at its peak after 4-6 years of cellaring, and will last for 20-25 years. I don't think I need to reinforce the fact that these offerings are extremely difficult to find, but isn't that the way it always is with such extraordinary wines? (RP)" (12/1997)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 99RP, 98JS, 98VN, 98WE, 97DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the most classic examples of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon I could image is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Spottswoode and this blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot is a truly heavenly, classic wine built for the ages. Offering beautiful notes of black and blue fruits, graphite, exotic spices, violets and spring flowers, with a touch of earthy, damp river rock-like minerality, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, stunning purity of fruit, perfect balance, building tannin, and a great, great finish. The 1978 Barolo Villero (white label) was finest of the three wines in this flight. Wine Enthusiast: "One of the first, if not the first, of the proprietarily named Napa Bordeaux blends, Phelps Insignia has been one of California’s greatest Cabs for decades. This is their 30th anniversary bottling, and it’s worthy of the tradition. Ultrarich and smooth, with a mouthfeel that’s pure velvet, it’s fairly thick in tannins now, suggesting cellaring. But it’s huge in blackberry, dark unsweetened chocolate and spicy plum fruit, and will easily hold for a very long time. *Top 100 of 2007, Cellar Selection* " (03/2007)

2011 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Les Petits Charrons"
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Les Petits Charrons" (93RP, 92JG, (89-91BH), 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was a fabulous vintage chez Ente, and from magnum the 2011 Meursault Les Petits Charrons is superb, bursting from the glass with an expressive bouquet of citrus zest, preserved lemon, wheat toast and pear, framed by a light touch of reduction. On the palate, the wine is medium-full, sapid and intense, with a deep core, succulent acids and terrific tension through the long, lingering finish. While this is drinking beautifully already, it has the structure and energy to develop for another decade at the very least. (WK)" (01/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine Leroy Pommard "Les Vignots" (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pommard Les Vignots was bottled December 2012. It has a complex, slightly earthy bouquet with subtle marine influences, defined and focused with hints of black olive emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine focus, imbued with an Oriental edge (hoisin) which is folded into a fine silky finish. Drink now-2020. (NM)" (08/2013)

2002 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 97VN, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Probably the least evolved, although certainly accessible, stunningly complex, and just a point short of pure perfection is the 2002 Cariad. It is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, all purchased fruit from the David Abreu-owned and managed vineyards of Madrona Ranch in St. Helena and Thorevilos, behind the Meadowood Resort. Strikingly dark plum/purple in color, with notes of white chocolate, barbecue smoke, graphite, blueberry and blackberry liqueur as well as espresso roast, this is a tremendously complex blend that hits the palate with full-bodied opulence, terrific richness and intensity, and wonderfully silky tannins. The entire wine saturates the palate yet is never heavy, instead rather ethereal. This is an extraordinarily elegant, complex, yet authoritative example of a creative blend from

2000 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (100RP, 95JS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the wines of the vintage, the 2000 has barely budged in its evolution since it was bottled and released in 2002. After ten years in bottle, it still reveals a dense opaque purple color along with a potentially sensational bouquet of blueberries, black currants, graphite, asphalt and background oak. Extremely powerful, full-bodied and superbly concentrated with good acidity and high but round tannins, this massive La Mission-Haut-Brion should take its place among this estate’s most hallowed vintages when it hits full maturity in another one to two decades. I was surprised by just how youthful this wine tasted at age 12. If tasted blind, I would have guessed it to be around 4 to 5 years old. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2050. (RP)" (08/2012)

1988 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Conti Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1988 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Conti Grand Cru (97RP, 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In 1988 there are 575 cases of Romanee-Conti. Consumers should be deliriously happy, considering there were only 225 cases in 1987. It is more backward than the 1987, 1986, or 1985, and is one of the fullest and most tannic examples of Romanee-Conti I have tasted this decade. It may even outlive the otherworldly 1985. It is staggeringly concentrated with a bouquet that almost defies articulation. There is no doubting what it is and who made it. It is a flashy, dramatic wine with astonishing length and mystique. I would not dare touch a bottle before the mid- to late nineties. The prices for the wines of the Domaine de la Romanee-Conti may be exorbitant but the quality of the wines produced in the eighties is truly remarkable. The 1988s are celestial wines selling at stratospheric prices. The 1988 production was twice what it was in 1987, but the same as in 19

2015 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99RP, 98JD, 98VN, 96WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with gorgeous floral notes of red roses and lilacs over a core of black and red cherries, crushed black currants and baking spices plus hints of iron ore and dusty earth. The voluptuous, rounded, soft and sexy fruit slinks across the palate with incredible seamlessness and expression. Make no mistake, it is full-bodied and decadently powerful, but with a myriad of aromatic nuances, finishing long, layered and boldly perfumed. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Bid on this magnum of 2015 Schrader "Old Sparky" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 100JD, 97RP) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "A wine that got more than one expletive in my notes, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Sparky is a barrel selection and is mostly clone 6 with smaller amounts of clone 4. Pure crème de cassis, blueberries, violets, white chocolate, and white flower notes all soar from this inky 2015 which is full-bodied, powerful, yet weightless and elegant. Its tannins are covered by a wealth of fruit, it has no hard edges, perfect integration of its fruit, tannin, acidity, and alcohol, and a finish that just won’t quit. This is a crazy good wine that couldn’t be any better." (12/2017)

2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine any way you look at it, the 2012 Grenache Rattrapante comes all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and spent 33 months in 27% new French oak. My notes start - and end - with “Wow.” Giving up tons of black raspberries, peppery herbs, licorice, dried flowers and cured meats, it’s a massively concentrated, rich and layered Grenache that somehow manages to stay graceful, lively and fresh on the palate. There are roughly 800 cases of this elixir and any Grenache lover should do their best to latch onto a bottle (or two). It’s also worth noting that this cuvee saw 26% whole clusters, which is a small change from past vintages. (JD)" (08/2016)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Cirq "Treehouse Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (94VN, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2014 Pinot Noir Treehouse is more typical of the Russian River in its boisterous, racy personality and dark fruit profile. Black cherry, cola, spice and menthol are some of the many notes that flesh out in this ample, resonant Pinot. Richly textured and phenolic in feel, the Treehouse is another winner from CIRQ and proprietor Michael Browne. (AG)" (08/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Buccella "Cuvée Katrina Eileen" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This special cuvée is named after the owners' first-born daughter and comes from a vineyard in the western hills of Yountville. Miniscule yields and extremely rocky soils contribute to concentrated, complex Cabernet. According to the winery, "In German, the name 'Katrina' represents purity and, fittingly, this wine is made entirely from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape, providing a pure expression of this decadent varietal. It also reflects our daughter’s personality with flavors that are complex, unreserved and expressive."

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2010 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 94VN, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mocha, espresso, cloves and blackberry jam are some of many nuances that emerge from the 2010 Red Blend. A deep, rich wine, the 2010 boasts stunning aromatics, beautifully chiseled fruit and fabulous overall balance. I sense a slightly less sweet, overt style than in previous years, yet at the same time, there is plenty of richness in the glass. I suspect the 2010 will still be going strong at age 20. Today, it is flat-out gorgeous. The 2010 is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2030. (AG) 95+" (12/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Moët & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (98VN, 97DC, 96RP, 96W&S, 95WS). Vinous: "The 2002 Dom Pérignon is unforgettable. Rich, sumptuous and flamboyant to the core, the 2002 captures all of the radiance of a year in which ripeness in the Chardonnays was pushed to the edge. The 2002 is oily and viscous on the palate, with tremendous textural resonance in all of its dimensions. Tropical fruit, pastry and exotic floral notes all build as the 2002 opens up with air. I can still remember the first time I tasted the 2002, here in the Hautvillers cloister, with former Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy. It was thrilling back then, and is every bit as memorable today. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Philipponnat "Clos de Goisses" Brut Champagne (95BH, 94JG, 94ST, 94VN, 90WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is more mature than the 2001 with a beautifully layered nose of yeast, lemon rind, brioche, dried flowers and spice hints. There is excellent volume and superb intensity to the firm mousse that despite the firmness exhibits a very fine bead. This is exceptionally impressive in the mouth with the same striking complexity of the nose coupled with positively gorgeous length. A knockout that could be drunk now with pleasure or held for a few more years first; personally I would opt for the latter but either way, this is a classic Clos des Goisses. " (01/2013)

On the palate the wine is rich, plush and generous but well balanced, with great length and depth. A certain suppleness nods to the vintage's warmth, but that's by no means unwelcome in this typically firm-framed cuvée. (WK)"

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Proprietary Blend The Maiden wraps around the palate with dark cherries, plums, cinnamon, cloves and new leather. This is a surprisingly muscular style for the year, with quite a bit less of the early appeal than is found in many other wines. The aromas and flavors remain dark, powerful and brooding from start to finish. Flowers, cinnamon and mint add further complexity on the finish. (AG)" (12/2012)
