1989 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (95RP, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Both the 1989 and 1990 vintages exhibit opaque, dense purple colors that suggest massive wines of considerable extraction and richness. The dense, full-bodied 1989 is brilliantly made with huge, smoky, chocolatey, cassis aromas intermingled with scents of toasty oak. Well-layered, with a sweet inner-core of fruit, this awesomely endowed, backward, tannic, prodigious 1989 needs another 5-6 years of cellaring; it should last for three decades or more. It is unquestionably a great Pichon-Longueville-Baron. (RP)" (02/1997)

2005 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (98RP, 97ST, 96JS, 95DC, 95VN, 95WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Its bigger brother, or sister, depending on the point of view, is the extremely young, fresh, vigorous, yet still exuberant and promising 2005 Harlan Estate. Normally, the blends on these wines tend to be 85%-90% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest tiny proportions of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and possibly some Petit Verdot, although I don’t recall that being a very important part of the estate vineyard. The 2005 is incredibly youthful at age ten, although certainly drinkable. And who wouldn’t consume it if they had the opportunity? It will benefit from another 5-10 years of cellaring and certainly has 30 or more years left in its evolutionary curve. Gorgeous, and tasting akin to a hypothetical Pauillac blended with a great Pessac-Léognan from Bordeaux comes to mind because of the smoky, subtle barbecue notes, fruitcake, forest floor, graphite

Bid on this 2-half-bottle lot of 2001 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (100JS, 100RP, 100WS). Wine Spectator: "The greatest young Yquem I have ever tasted from bottle. Yellow, with a golden hue and an almost green tint. Intense aromas of botrytis, spices and blanched almonds follow through to honey, maple syrup, dried apricot and pineapple. Full-bodied, sweet, thick and powerful, with layers of fruit and a bright, lively finish. Coats the palate yet remains exciting. So balanced and refined, showing the pedigree that only this Sauternes estate can deliver. *Ranked #10 on Top 100 of 2005, Collectibles* (JS)" (11/2005)

Of the 2013 Hall "Rainin Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin Vineyard is from a Diamond Mountain site of eight acres. The wine is dense ruby/purple, flawlessly constructed with gorgeous blackberry and blueberry fruit, a stunning almost endless finish, great purity and fabulous palate presence. This is provocative as well as prodigious Cabernet Sauvignon, that’s as good as it gets. This should drink well for 20 to 25 years and is a tribute to the incredible efforts and progress Kathryn Hall has made in such a short period of time. (RP)" (12/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes (97RP, 96WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Just a touch darker in color than the traditional cuvee, the blockbuster 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes is a big, full-bodied and concentrated beauty that's overflowing with Provencal notes of cured meats, garrigue, licorice, black cherries and crushed rock. Thick and unctuous on the palate, it has put on weight since release, and the tannin is also sweeter and more polished, all suggesting it will have a long life. This is a gorgeous Chateauneuf du Pape! 97+ (JD)" (10/2016)

1946 Bodegas Toro Albalá "Don PX Convento Selección" Pedro Ximenez Jerez (OWC)
Bid on this bottle of 1946 Bodegas Toro Albalá "Don PX Convento Selección" Pedro Ximenez Jerez (OWC - 100RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1946 Don PX Convento Seleccion produced with Pedro Ximenez grapes dehydrated under the sun at the time of the Second World War, was only bottled in September 2011. This is an extreme wine, my first descriptor was ultra-mega-super concentrated. It is unbelievably powerful, both in the nose and the palate, full of umami, with sweet cinnamon, Christmas cake, camphor, petrol, lemongrass, Belgian chocolate and butter. Incredibly complex and rich, sweet, balanced and smooth in the palate, it is both very sweet and somehow salty, and with time it develops a black olive note. It combines the texture of the 1962 and the elegance of the 1949. It is as decadent as it gets. 825 bottles were produced. This wine will survive all of us. These wines are kept for generations and offered in very small quantities, but it’s amazing that you can

2005 Pavie, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Pavie, St-Emilion (100RP, 99VN, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Gérard Perse believes this is the greatest Pavie he’s made to date, although certainly I would argue that list includes the 2000, as well as the 2009 and 2010, among his superstars. This wine, which I had both in the 2005 horizontal report in the Wine Advocate, and at a mini-vertical with Perse at the restaurant Maison Boulud in Montreal, looks to be a 75- to 100-year wine. Dense, opaque purple to the rim, with a gorgeously promising nose of blackberries, cassis, graphite and cedar wood just beginning to emerge, it tastes more like a three-year-old than wine that is already a decade old. This beauty is intense and full-bodied, with magnificent concentration, a majestic mouthfeel and a total seamless integration of tannin, wood, alcohol, etc. Beautifully rich, full and multidimensional, this is a tour de force in winemaking and certainly one of the top dozen or so 2005 Bordeaux. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot" Blanc (92VN, 91WS, 90BH). Vinous: "Very pale, bright yellow. Good mineral reserve to the aromas of lemon, lime, fresh herbs and wet stone. Similar flavors in the mouth, with brisk acidity and saline minerality giving the wine a touch of austerity in spite of its depth and texture. Displays strong citrus lift; not at all a honeyed style of Morgeot. Very tactile, saline and long on the rising finish. Still a touch of reduction here. (ST)" (09/2017)

1998 Pride Mountain Sonoma County Cabernet Franc
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1998 Pride Mountain Sonoma County Cabernet Franc (94RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am amazed by how spectacular Pride Mountain's Cabernet Franc continues to be. The fabulous 1998 Cabernet Franc is a noteworthy achievement in this difficult vintage. Its deep purple color is accompanied by a gorgeous bouquet of cedar, spice box, black fruits, smoke, and earth. In the mouth, there is a smorgasbord of sweet black fruits with a hint of dried Provencal herbs. Opulent and full-bodied, with marvelous concentration yet an eerie sense of weightlessness, this rich, complex 1998 can be drunk now as well as over the next decade. Bravo! (RP)" (12/2000)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Kosta Browne "Koplen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (94CG, 94RP, 92VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the more feminine, elegant and pretty Pinot Noirs in the lineup, the 2013 Pinot Noir Koplen Vineyard exhibits a lot of spring flowers and sappy underbrush notes, as well as ample underlying darker berry fruit. Lively, fresh and taut on the palate, yet still with depth of fruit and texture, it’s beautiful now but should evolve gracefully. (JD)" (10/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 95DC, 94ST, 94WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More mature and evolved (or maybe it just has more to it), the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard tastes like a great vintage of Pontet-Canet or Mouton Rothschild. This profound Napa Cabernet Sauvignon reveals gorgeous notes of creme de cassis, a celestial floral and espresso character, an inky/purple color, a dense full-bodied mouthfeel and hints of wood smoke and a volcanic/burning ember note. Quite intense with a prodigious mouthfeel and a nearly 60-second finish, this wine can be drunk now or cellared for another quarter of a century. Bravo! 2015 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2015 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 97RP, 95JS, 92DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "Last of the blends, the 2015 The Bard checks in as 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Like the Falstaff, it has a terrific purity and freshness as well as full-bodied richness and depth. Blackberries, currants, liquid rock, and tobacco all give way to a gorgeous, deep, layered Cabernet Sauvignon that’s still tight, backward and reserved on the palate. Give bottles three to four years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following two decades. 98+" (12/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Anderson's Conn Valley "Estate Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the few wineries to make a 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve that eclipsed its 2007 counterpart is Anderson’s Conn Valley. A spectacular effort that is as black as a moonless night, this full-bodied wine boasts abundant aromas of creme de cassis, camphor and subtle oak presented in a voluptuously textured, full-bodied style with terrific richness and depth. Great intensity and opulence as well as a layered mouthfeel make for a remarkable wine that should age for 20-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2010)

Of the 2013 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Vinous writes: "The 2013 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is the most opulent and extroverted of these Pinots, but it is also the most compelling. Endowed with huge fruit, and an explosive mid-palate, the UV-SL captures the very best of this style of Pinot. Layers of dark, inky fruit built to a crescendo of intensity and juiciness. 2010 Sine Qua Non "Five Shooter" Central Coast Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Sine Qua Non "Five Shooter" Central Coast Grenache (98RP, 97VN, 95ST). John Gilman: "I know that the 2011 vintage of north coast cabernet sauvignon was not particularly popular in many circles, but I have found this cooler vintage utterly captivating at most of my favorite estates and fully expect it to be the great sleeper vintage of its era. The 2011 Kronos Vineyard bottling from Corison is a bit lower in octane than most vintages, coming in at an even thirteen percent, but the wine has a very dynamic personality on both the nose and palate and is going to be absolutely stunning with sufficient time in the cellar. The bouquet is extremely precise and nascently complex, delivering scents of black cherries, dark plums, tobacco leaf, classy soil tones, cigar ash, allspice, hints of violet and a discreet framing of cedary new wood. Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine de Montille Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Malconsorts" ((92-94BH), 94RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Malconsorts 2011 has a beautiful perfumed, floral bouquet that opens immediately with bright red cherries, fresh strawberry, minerals and just a tincture of burnt toast. The palate is medium-bodied, perhaps just a little green around the edges, structured and masculine with an aloof finish that will need time to mellow. 2015 Vérité "La Muse" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2015 Vérité "La Muse" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend (97JS, 97RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec, the 2015 La Muse sports a very deep garnet-purple color, leaping from the glass with exuberant crème de cassis, blueberry pie and licorice notes plus suggestions of Indian spices, dark chocolate, menthol, sautéed herbs and potpourri. Full-bodied, rich and seductive in the mouth, it delivers tons of black and blue fruit preserves flavors, accented by exotic spices, framed with velvety tannins and finishing on a persistent earthy/mineral note. 1987 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1987 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Chateau Montelena has made so many sensational Cabernets that it seems almost impossible to believe that their 1987 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate could be even more profound than any of the exceptional wines made previously at this property. The black/purple color, the extraordinary bouquet of rich cassis, violets, and licorice, the massive extraction of flavors, sensational depth, super ripeness, and a length that must last over a minute, suggest to me that this is easily the most concentrated and potentially longest-lived Cabernet Sauvignon that Chateau Montelena has ever made. The extract level is incredible, yet the balance is there. (RP)" (10/1993)

2013 Rhys "Horseshoe Hillside" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Rhys "Horseshoe Hillside" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (98JG, 97VN, 96RP, 95BH). John Gilman: "The very first release of the 'Horseshoe Hillside' reserve bottling of pinot noir from Rhys Vineyards is utterly spectacular, with a more reserved personality than the regular bottling and even more precision and complexity. The great nose wafts from the glass in a bottomless mélange of sweet dark berries, a touch of grilled meats, bitter chocolate, a superbly complex base of soil tones, sweet herb tones, vinesmoke, an exotic touch of dried eucalyptus and a discreet framing of spicy oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and impeccably balanced, with a great core, stunning soil signature, suave tannins, good acids and outstanding length and grip on the long, nicely reserved and complex finish. There is a nice touch of youthful stems here that is not evident in the regular Horseshoe Vineyard bottling, but this wine is supposed to include the same p

2013 Bevan "Ontogeny" Oakville Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Bevan "Ontogeny" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Ontogeny Proprietary Red is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petit Verdot, and 10% Cabernet Franc, coming from some of Russell Bevan’s favorite vineyard sources – Sugarloaf Mountain, Two Dogs, Tin Box and Tench. Quite flavorful, it is exhibiting slightly more new oak than some of the other cuvées, but is still sexy and opulent, with voluptuous texture, low acidity, and oodles of juicy, succulent black and red fruits, licorice, underbrush and a touch of vanillin. An already irresistible beauty, it can be drunk over the next 20 years. (RP)" (10/2015)

2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hot vintage and incredible any way you look at it, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has that laser-like focus of a cooler year, yet the voluptuousness and richness of a warmer year. Smoked black fruits, coffee, truffle and pen ink-like aromas and flavors all emerge from this massive, incredibly full-bodied effort and on the palate, it carries itself perfectly with a weightless, yet decadent texture, masses of polished tannin and blockbuster length. More classic and textbook than the 2007, it is every bit as good. (JD)" (06/2013)

Full-bodied, opulent and wonderfully spicy in the mouth, it has a solid frame of firm and grainy tannins with a seamless acid line and a very long, decadent finish. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, this blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot reveals a powerful core of red and black fruits, dusty, loamy soil, lavender and a hint of toast. I would not describe it as elegant, but rather, it is a big, backstrapping, Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine that should continue to drink well for 15 or more years. (RP)" (11/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (94ST, 93RP, 93WE). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, bright ruby-red. Deeply pitched aromas of black raspberry, violet, gunflint, tobacco, tar and cola. Lush and sweet but firm and imploded; deeper and more concentrated than the "regular" James Berry bottling but less evolved. In 2015, the Collina is big, ample and voluptuous, with a bit more textural intensity than it often shows. Then again, that is 2015. Black cherry, plum, spice, menthol and lavender are all pushed forward. Open-knit and juicy, the 2015 will drink well upon release. 2010 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 98VN, 95ST, 92WS). Vinous: "Forman’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon? has become much more refined over the last few years. Initially a virtually impenetrable brute, the 2010 now shows gorgeous layers of aromatic nuance that have taken some time to develop. Crushed rose petals, mint, herbs and red stone fruits open up effortlessly in the glass. There is no shortage of depth or tannin, but the 2010 appears to now be headed in the direction of finesse, whereas when it was young it was a real powerhouse. This is a stellar showing from Ric Forman. (AG)" (06/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Claret (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) has that ethereal nose of spring flowers, boysenberry, blueberry, black currant, and spice. Following that seductive aromatic display, Foley’s brilliance is again exhibited in the mouthfeel of this seamless wine, which has full-bodied flavors, no hard edges, gorgeous layers of fruit, and loads of complexity already, but is still a youthful wine with its best days ahead of it. This is brilliant winemaking, as some of us have come to expect from Bob Foley, and it should age well for 15-20 years. (RP)" (12/2010)

A big, dramatic wine, the 2005 shows all the power and depth of Serralunga in its broad frame. A host of black cherry, smoke, licorice and tobacco notes envelop the palate as the 2005 gradually unfurls in the glass. Iron, lavender and dried flowers follow. 2009 Clos Fourtet, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Clos Fourtet, St-Emilion (100RP, 95VN, 95WE, 94JS, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "After tasting it three times from bottle, I am convinced this prodigious wine is one of the greatest young Bordeaux I have ever tasted. Inky blue/purple with notes of camphor, forest floor, blackberry, cassis, sweet cherries, licorice, the wine has stunning aromatics, unctuous texture and an almost inky concentration, but without any hard edges. With considerable tannin and just enough acidity to provide definition, this wine transcends even its premier grand cru classe terroir. It is certainly the finest Clos Fourtet ever produced. Give it 5-7 years of cellaring to allow some of its baby fat to fall away. There is certainly enough structure underneath to keep for 30-50 years. Bravo! (RP)" (02/2012)

2014 L'Aventure "For Her" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2014 L'Aventure "For Her" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pure perfection and one of the greatest wines to come from these limestone slopes on the west side of Paso Robles, the 2014 For Her is a blend of 58% Syrah, 32% Monastrell and the rest Viognier that was all cofermented and aged 14 months in 55% new French oak. This inky black colored, massively rich, yet graceful and elegant red offers killer notes of black raspberries, red plums, creme de cassis, crushed flowers and graphite. A singular wine that could come from nowhere else, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, ultra-fine tannin, huge fruit and that weightless component on the palate that's a part of all great wines. I suspect it will close down slightly for a year or two, yet drink beautifully for 10-15 years. Hats off to proprietor Stephan Asseo for this incredible wine! (JD)" (08/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne (97VN, 96JG, 96JS, 95RP, 95W&S, 95WE, 94WS). Vinous: "Long-time Chef de Caves Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon has produced yet another in a string of superb Champagnes with the 2007 Cristal. Rich, powerful and enveloping, the 2007 takes hold of all the senses and never lets up. The aromatics alone are captivating, but then the wine opens on the palate, revealing layer after layer of flavor to match a multi-dimensional, kaleidoscopic personality that will leave Champagne lovers weak at the knees. The 2007 is 58% Chardonnay and 42% Pinot Noir, which is to say a bit more Chardonnay-leaning than is the norm. The 2007 is striking today, but it should also age effortlessly for several decades. It is also without question one of the very finest new releases of the year. (AG) 97+" (07/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (98RP, 97JS, 96WE, 96WS, 93ST, 93VN, (87-92JG)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Performing even better from bottle than it did from barrel, this appears to be the finest Lynch Bages since the 2000, 1990 and 1989. According to the chateau, the 2009 has the highest level of polyphenols ever measured as well as high alcohol (nearly 13.5%). A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest largely Merlot with touches of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it is an expressive, voluptuously textured effort with unctuosity and powerful, juicy, succulent blackberry and black currant flavors, low acids, a layered, massive mouthfeel, but no sense of heaviness or fatigue. 2014 Morlet "La Proportion Dorée" Sonoma County White Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Morlet "La Proportion Dorée" Sonoma County White Blend (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine is the 2014 La Proportion Dorée, a blend of 65% Semillon, 24% Sauvignon Blanc and 1% Muscadelle. This 650-case cuvée is from 29-year-old, dry farmed vines and was barrel-fermented. The wine is absolutely out of this world. With a light greenish gold color and a killer nose of lanolin, caramelized citrus, honeysuckle, orange marmalade and candle wax, the wine displays great acidity, a magnificent, massive, full-bodied mouthfeel, and seems to come across like a Sonoma County version of a dry Haut Brion blanc. This is singular wine - profound, compelling, whatever! It should drink well for at least 10 years, if you can resist its early charms. Drink now through 2026. (RP)" (12/2015)
