Of the 2004 Dehlinger "Goldridge" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,Wine & Spirits writes: "This full-bodied and highly concentrated bottling is bound to be loved by most and vilified by those who dislike overt size, ripeness and palatal flesh in their Pinot Noirs. It is, without debate from this corner, on the verge of being too much of a good thing, but it carries the Dehlinger hallmarks of polish, depth and focused black cherry fruit all buttressed by the most lavish of creamy oaks, and it will make a very potent partner to a rich standing rib roast. *Two Stars* " (02/2007)

2012 Kosta Browne "Garys' Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Kosta Browne "Garys' Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir (94RP, 93VN, 91CG, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of my favorites in the lineup, the 2012 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard shows its 15% whole cluster fermentation with the darker fruit, ground pepper, herbs and background meatiness that shows on the nose. A rich, full-flavored, yet still seamless and elegant Pinot Noir, it has solid underlying structure and beautiful focus that comes through on the finish. It can be consumed anytime over the coming 5-7 years. This was another stacked lineup by the team of Dan Kosta and Michael Browne. All of these wines showed the more approachable style of the 2012 vintage, and had seamless, elegant characters. They're beautiful now, but I suspect they will evolve nicely given their overall balance. (JD)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Bevan "Tench Vineyard EE" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 96VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 EE Tench Vineyard, a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Cabernet Franc, is a stunner. This comes from the red, rocky terraces near the Dalla Valle Vineyard on the western Vaca hillsides in Oakville. This wine has great intensity, with notes of scorched earth, jammy blackberry and cassis fruit, some licorice, underbrush and truffle. It is elegant, yet powerful and authoritative, pure and multi-layered, with a phenomenal finish of close to 50 seconds. (RP)" (10/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard La Verdad has a very deep purple-black color and reveals slightly subdued, youthful notes of crushed blueberries, warm black cherries and mulberries with hints of blackcurrant cordial, stewed black tea, wilted roses and fragrant soil. Wow—the palate explodes with very primary yet incredibly exciting, densely packed muscular black fruits, framed with a brick house of super ripe tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long and incredibly cerebral. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Paul Lato "C'est le Vie - Wenzlau Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (94RP, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beautiful all around, with thrilling raspberry, cherry, crushed rock, licorice and forest floor on the nose, the 2011 Pinot Noir C’est la Vie Wenzlau Vineyard flows onto the palate with a rich, full, yet ethereal texture, no hard edges and perfect balance between its fruit, tannin and acid. Structured and age-worthy, give it a handful of years and enjoy through 2023. Drink 2015-2023. Paul Lato continues to knock it out of the park and I can’t say enough about the quality coming from this estate. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Horsepower "The Tribe Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 94JS, 94WE, 93VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a site that's next to En Chamberlin that's planted with a 4x4 spacing (the Sur Echalas is 3x3), the 2014 Syrah The Tribe Vineyard offers more fruit (blackberry, black cherry) as well as beautiful notes of violets, rose petal, pepper and earth. Fermented with 100% whole clusters and aged in neutral puncheons, this full-bodied beauty has fine tannin, juicy acidity and a great finish. It's in direct contrast to the more masculine, meaty, umami style of the Sur Echalas Vineyard. Give it 2-3 years and it too will be long lived! (JD) 96+" (06/2017)

2008 Edge Hill "Mixed Blacks Field Blend" St. Helena Red Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2008 Edge Hill "Mixed Blacks Field Blend" St. Helena Red Blend (1.5L) (96RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A curiosity (only 250 cases produced) is the 2008 Edge Hill Mixed Blacks, which is basically an heirloom blend of an assortment of grapes planted on a parcel in St. Helena. It includes everything from Grenache, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Gamay, Mourvedre, Carignan and Alicante Bouchet, all co-fermented together. One of the most compelling wines made in California, it is a sexy, hedonistic, full-throttle red that is a tribute to the first generation immigrants that planted these grapes in Napa Valley. Black as a moonless night, it exhibits loads of barbecue smoke, boysenberry, blackberry, charcoal and roasted meat/blood smells. If you love wines from France’s Rhone Valley, you will find this cuvee to be irresistible. It should drink well for 8-10 years at the minimum. (RP)" (12/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 1,580 cases of the 2012 James Berry Vineyard and it reminds me of the 2009 Janasse Chaupin (which is one of Justin’s favorite wines). Incorporating more Mourvedre than normal, it’s made from 43% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 10% Counoise that’s aged in a combination of concrete and barrel. Rock star stuff, with fabulous black raspberry, cassis, spring flowers and charred meat aromas and flavors, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, yet stays lively, incredibly pure and elegant, with lots of fine tannin emerging on the finish. Bid on this bottle of 2009 Kistler "Cuvée Elizabeth - Bodega Headlands" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96VN, 95RP, 95ST, 92WS). Vinous: "Both 2009 Pinots are striking. The Pinot Noir Silver Belt Vineyard Cuvée Natalie is lifted, savory and aromatic, while the Bodega Headlands Vineyard Cuvée Elizabeth is more overt and fruit-driven in style. Both wines remain quite primary, though, so readers who prefer more tertiary nuances will want to give the 2009s a few more years in the cellar. Bid on this bottle of 2002 Ramey "Jericho Canyon" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The top wine, the Jericho Canyon Proprietary Red, emerges from a vineyard northeast of Calistoga. Revealing exceptional intensity, along with a flamboyant, open-knit personality, the 2002 Jericho Canyon Proprietary Red (two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon and one-third Merlot, and a tiny dollop of Cabernet Franc) exhibits a deep purple color along with sweet fruit, and juicy, smoky bacon fat notes intermixed with creosote, creme de cassis, scorched earth, and toasty oak. 2012 Château Rayas "La Pialade" Côtes du Rhône
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Château Rayas "La Pialade" Côtes du Rhône. Château Rayas is among the indisputable royalty in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and the prices that their wines command reflect this reverence among collectors and aficionados. However, they also make a handful of thoroughly outstanding bottlings from their younger vines under a Côtes du Rhône AOC designation. La Pialades is composed almost entirely of fruit from young Grenache vines with a touch of both Syrah and Cinsault. The Châteauneuf wines from Rayas are famous for their refined elegance and structure, and this CdR is no different. It's a wine that is ageworthy far beyond its supposed level quality (by AOC standards, anyway), and it's a remarkable introduction to the essence of one of the world's greatest wine domaines.

2010 Rhys San Mateo County Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Rhys San Mateo County Pinot Noir (94VN, 92WS, 91ST, 90BH). Vinous: "The 2010 Pinot Noir (San Mateo County) is simply fabulous. Rich dark cherries, crushed flowers, mint and spices burst from the glass. This is a hugely delicious wine from Rhys. The 80% whole clusters are nicely balanced by the sheer depth of the fruit. This is a flat out stunning wine from Rhys. In 2010 the San Mateo is the entry-level Pinot. The 2010 is bottled under San Mateo appellation, as it includes fruit from Bearwallow (in Anderson Valley) rather than the more typical collection of sites from the Santa Cruz Mountains. Once again, one of the appellation-level Rhys Pinots shines. (AG)" (08/2012)

2004 Arietta "Variation One" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Arietta "Variation One" Napa Valley Red Blend (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep medium ruby. Expressive aromas of black raspberry, licorice and dark chocolate, plus a medicinal menthol element. Juicy, tight and backward; this boasts excellent ripeness but is dominated by its acid structure and big tannins today. Like the 2004 Cabernet, it comes across as a bit spiky on the back and in need of patience. The tannins of the 2005 seem much finer. (ST) 90+" (06/2007)

1999 Cardinale Napa-Sonoma Counties Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Cardinale Napa-Sonoma Counties Bordeaux Blend (93RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The terrific 1999 (a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot) possesses a murky purple color as well as a sweet nose of vanilla, Asian spices, licorice, and blackberry/currant fruit. The wine is full-bodied, dense, and chewy, with moderately high tannin. This large-scaled, pure red will handsomely repay cellaring. (RP)" (08/2002)

2002 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96RP, 93ST, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This appears to be one of the great efforts from Chateau Montelena, something I think I was correct about when I gave it an 'in the bottle' rating in 2006 of 95+. It is still an amazingly young wine that came from old vines on the famous St. George rootstock that did not require replanting because of the phylloxera epidemic that swept through Napa in the late 1980's and 1990's. Despite its lofty 14.4% alcohol (high by Montelena standards) and the overall flamboyance of the 2002 vintage, it needs another 4-6 years of cellaring. This young, classic Cabernet Sauvignon represents the quintessential traditional school of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It possesses an inky/blue/purple color in addition to a tight, but promising nose of black currants, crushed rocks, earth and spice. Rich, full-bodied, pure and brilliantly executed, with perfect harmon

2011 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (97RP, 97VN, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Syrah James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock opens in the glass with complex aromas of ripe black fruits, rich spice, cracked pepper, licorice and savory notions of grilled meats. On the palate, it's full-bodied, fine-grained and intensely concentrated, with a firm, tight-knit core and unusual energy. The finish is long, precise and penetrating. While the 2011 vintage tends to be tainted by association with the challenges producers faced on California's North Coast, conditions were not so adverse in Paso Robles: at Saxum, the year seems to have produced some of the most tight-knit wines of Justin Smith's career, and the wines have the potential to be unusually long-lived. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Dalla Valle "Collina" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This is the newest addition to the Dalla Valle range made mostly from the younger vines planted on the Dalla Valle estate. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Notes from Vinography: "Medium garnet in color, this wine smells of flowers and bright cherry fruit. In the mouth cherry, cocoa powder and exceptionally juicy acidity make this a difficult wine to spit out. Lush, vibrant, and quite compelling. By the time the powdery tannins emerge at the edges of the mouth you've already gone back for a second sip. Phenomenal." (05/2012)

Bid on this 375 ml 3-bottle lot of 2006 Far Niente "Dolce" Napa Valley Dessert Wine (375ml) (98WE, 93WS). Wine Enthusiast: "With this wine, Dolce cements its status as California’s most consistently great dessert wine. This year’s blend is 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc, and the grapes were infected with the botrytis, resulting in the fantastic sweetness. Devastating in apricot, orange, pear, honey, vanilla and créme brûlée flavors, in an unctuous, viscous texture, with wonderfully clean acidity, it’s certainly one of the greatest sweet California wines in memory. *#99 on The Enthusiast 100 list of 2011* " (06/2011)

Wine Spectator: "A big, bold, decadent style, with leathery currant, juicy plum, wild berry and black cherry flavors. On the finish, the fruit wins out (but not without a struggle). Sufficient tannins and concentration to cellar short-term. Drink now through 2010." (09/02) According to Robert Parker: The dense purple-colored 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon 18th Anniversary Release offers a sweet nose of cassis, earth, herbs, and minerals. In the mouth, it is muscular and austere, with firm, high tannin in addition to a compressed finish. It will need 3-4 years of cellaring when released, and should easily evolve for 15 years. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 L'Aventure "Côte à Côte" Estate Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96JD, 95JS, 95RP, 95VN, 92ST). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2009 L'Aventure Côte-à-Côte Estate is a blend of 42% Grenache, 37% Syrah, and 25% Mourvedre that was aged in 50% new French oak. Just a beautifully put together wine, it shows captivating notes of wild berry like fruits, graphite, licorice, and meaty characteristics on the nose. This leads to a full-bodied, awesomely textured wine that has big structure and fruit, yet maintains an overall elegant, seamless profile with solid freshness, and a classically styled, incredibly long finish. The texture and balance are really something here. While I'd have no problem drinking bottles now, this should continue to evolve positively for 2-3 years, and drink well for 10-12. Beautiful stuff." 2009 O'Shaughnessy Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 O'Shaughnessy Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is all minerals, graphite and pure Howell Mountain. Layers of dark red fruit come to life in this articulate, pedigreed Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2009 needs another few years in the bottle, but it is already quite striking, especially with some time in the glass. Saline notes frame the long finish. The 2009 is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, 5% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% St. Macaire and 2% Cabernet Franc. This is a thrilling set of wines from the gregarious Betty O’Shaughnessy and her winemaker Sean Capiaux. The Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon includes a host of other varieties, while the Mt. Veeder bottling is 100% Cabernet. Both wines spend 20 months in French oak barrels and are bottled without fining or filtration. (AG) 94+" (12/2011)

2005 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95CG, 95RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As for the 2005 Proprietary Red, it is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% each Petit Verdot and Malbec. While this might not be the blockbuster one would expect, there is outstanding depth, purity and overall texture and ripeness. Again, terrific acidity gives the wine vigor and precision, despite a lofty 15.2% alcohol. The wine is fresh and pure, with black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, some white floral notes, and the telltale forest floor. This is a wine to drink over the next 10-15+ years. Pahlmeyer’s wines age well, as I am still working off the 1995 and 1996 Proprietary Reds, which remain in great shape. (RP)" (06/2015)
