2012 Kistler "Cuvée Natalie - Silver Belt" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Kistler "Cuvée Natalie - Silver Belt" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96VN, 90RP, 90WS). Vinous: "A wine of real intrigue and finesse, the 2012 Pinot Noir Silver Belt Cuvée Natalie boasts marvelous detail and nuance. Sweet red cherry, plum and spice open up gradually, but the 2012 is not showing a lot of near-term accessibility at this stage. Instead, it is the wine's energy and tension that are front and center. A brilliant, crystalline finish rounds things out very nicely. Readers should give the 2012 at least a few years in bottle to fully come together. (AG)" (01/2015)

2000 Fonseca Vintage Port
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Fonseca Vintage Port (96RP, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Fonseca continues to exude finesse and focus on the nose, with pure blackberry, juniper berries, licorice and a touch of sloes, perhaps as Adrian Bridge remarked, just beginning to close after ten years in bottle. The palate is underpinned by very fine tannins, a sensual, svelte texture with wonderful acidity. The harmony and symmetry is alluring, the finish precise and demonstrating the persistency to suggest a long future ahead. Drink 2020-2060. (NM)" (02/2013)

Bid on this magnum of 2007 Palazzo Napa Valley Cabernet Franc (1.5L) (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet colored, the 2007 Cabernet Franc is just a little closed to begin, unfurling to reveal redcurrant jelly, kirsch and wild blueberry notes with hints of bay leaves, pencil shavings and tobacco. Full-bodied with a firm frame of grainy tannins and lively acid, it has a great core of muscular, savory-laced fruit, finishing long with an herbal lift. (LPB)" (08/2018)

Bid on this magnum of 2008 Troplong Mondot, St-Emilion (1.5L) (96RP, 93JS, 93VN, 91WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine of the vintage candidate in 2008, Troplong Mondot's offering was produced from yields of 41 hectoliters per hectare and achieved 14.5% natural alcohol. A classic blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it offers copious quantities of blue and black fruits, a full-bodied opulence, sweet tannin and a fabulous texture as well as finish. Already drinking beautifully, it will be even better in 2-5 years and should last for 20 years. A great effort for the vintage, it couldn’t happen to a more deserving proprietor, Christine Valette. Bravo! (RP)" (05/2011)

2003 Domaine Faiveley Chambolle-Musigny
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine Faiveley Chambolle-Musigny. Faiveley's Chambolle-Musigny AOC is sourced from various sites in the appellation, mostly on rich limestone soils with an east-southeast exposure. Prior to 2007, the domaine style centered on high extraction, punchdowns, and extended barrel usage. This Chambolle-Musigny AOC from a hot vintage will certainly show the fleshy fruit profile to overcome any hard structural edges, which will have mellowed by this point in the wine's evolution.

2010 Peter Michael "Clos du Ciel" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Peter Michael "Clos du Ciel" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (100RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The perfect 2010 Pinot Noir Clos de Ciel (330 cases) is a dead-ringer for the 1990 DRC La Tache. This could be a game-changing Pinot Noir that sets the wine world upside down given its spectacular quality. It boasts a dense ruby/plum/purple color as well as a big, sweet bouquet of licorice, spring flowers, black currants, black cherries, forest floor and raspberries. Deep and full with a flawless attack, mid-section and finish, it builds incrementally on the palate, then lingers for 40-45 seconds on the finish. It reveals an ethereal lightness despite its intensity of flavor. (RP)" (12/2013)

Of the 2012 Kosta Browne "One Sixteen" Russian River Valley Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A gorgeous Chardonnay, the 2012 One Sixteen offers both incredibly classy elegance, as well as building richness and texture. Ripe stone fruits, lemon curd, white flowers, liquid mineral, brioche and toast all emerge from the glass, and this beauty has a medium to full-bodied, elegant, taut and energetic profile on the palate that keeps you coming back to the glass. Bid on this magnum of 2002 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98RP, 97VN, 94ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Monte Bello is stunning, bursting from the glass with an expressive nose of ripe blackcurrants, crème de cassis, dried cherries, burning embers, pencil lead, loamy soil and a perfumed top note of lavender. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, lavish and expansive, cutting a broad swathe across the palate, with a deep, concentrated core of succulent fruit that's framed by ripe, plush tannins, concluding with a lingering finish. At age 16, the 2002 is truly singing, so anyone with bottles in their cellar is due for a treat. The blend is 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot, and it attained 13.3% alcohol. Unusually, fully 13% was matured in new French oak—with the balance, as usual, in new American oak. (WK)" (05/2018)

John Gilman: "The 1964 La Mission is a beautiful example of the vintage that has now been fully mature for decades, but continues to drink at a very high level. The deep, complex and beautiful bouquet wafts from the glass in a classic blend of cassis, medicinal black cherries, singed tobacco, a lovely base of soil, a bit of roasted game and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and absolutely à point, with beautiful focus and balance, a lovely core of velvety fruit and lovely length and grip on the resolved and vibrant finish. Produced from 100% Syrah, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Fracture has a vibrant nose of crushed red currants and black cherries with hints of bay leaves, cloves, aniseed and forest floor, plus a touch of roses. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Chateau Montelena "The Senator" Calistoga Red Blend in original wood. Producer Note: "As much as we love to make Cabernet Sauvignon, something that has charmed and obsessed us for 40 vintages, we also love to experiment. At Chateau Montelena, the more adventurous the experiment, the better. In that spirit, during 2010 we decided to try something totally new for us by blending and co-fermenting Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. The aim was to create wine showing big color density and in-your-face tannins, yet executed with classic Montelena styling of restraint and elegance.."

Aromas of yellow peach, spices and coconut show an almost honeyed ripeness. Broad, saline and voluminous, with very ripe, soil-driven flavors of lemon, orange and smoke. Already voluptuous but still quite young; in fact, this tactile, dusty wine tightened up with aeration, showing plenty of acidity and underlying minerality to support slow aging in bottle. Finishes saline and long. (ST)" (09/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Château de la Maltroye Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Romanée" ((90-93ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very ripe aromas of peach, marzipan and sweet vanillin oak. Fat, full and rich, with a soil-driven note of iodine but some dominant sweet oak today. Another barrel: Purer, more vibrant citrus aroma. More elegant and more typical in the mouth, and longer on the finish. Vivid, nuanced and structured, the 1999 is a wine to cellar for another 5-10 years at a minimum to allow the flavors to flesh out. Intense redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors pick up zesty mineral and blood orange qualities with air, along with a touch of cola. Blends sweetness and piquancy deftly and finishes with strong cut and persistence. Very nicely balanced and energetic Pinot, with zero fat on its bones. (ST)" (06/2013)

1977 Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1977 Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Jordan Vineyard and Winery is based in Healdsburg in the Alexander Valley. It was founded in 1972 and makes just two wines: a Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley and a Chardonnay from Russian River. From start to finish, this expression of Jordan Estate Alexander Valley fruit clearly displays characteristics of a slowly and carefully aged wine. From the winery: "The 1977 vintage of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon reaffirms the winery's commitment to producing wines of complex varietal fruit character and elegance. More intense than the 1976 vintage, the 1977 wine will require somewhat longer to reach maturity. Particularly exciting is the concentration of the Cabernet and Merlot flavors carrying through on the palate with an intensity and freshness that belie the wine's age. Also evident is the beginning of bottle bouquet, with tremendous promise of increasing complexity and appeal."

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Gruenchers has a very able bouquet with red cherries, crushed strawberry and wilted rose petal scents that blossom in the glass. Jeb Dunnuck: "...the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is the spitting image of elegance, and like the Estate 36-24-36 cuvee, grows on you with time in the glass. Of the 2015 Domaine Michel Lafarge 1er Cru Pommard "Pézerolles",John Gilman writes: "The 2015 Pézerolles from the Lafarges is very refined and elegant out of the blocks for a young Pommard. I have not tasted an example of this chez Lafarge since the 2011 vintage and it was nice to see the 2015 vintage has produced this bottling, as it is one of my favorite examples of Pommard. The 2015 is going to be a great wine, as it delivers a complex aromatic constellation of red plums, cherries, a touch of blood orange, pigeon, raw cocoa, lovely soil tones and roses in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and very sappy at the core, with fine soil s

2015 Domaine Ponsot Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Cuvée des Merles"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Ponsot Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Cuvée des Merles" ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pretty yet very Gevrey nose displays notes of the sauvage, humus and underbrush along with plenty of newly turned earth character on the plum and red cherry-scented aromas. There is both good intensity and verve to the big-bodied and utterly delicious flavors that coat the palate with dry extract which also helps to buffer the very firm tannins on the brooding, youthfully austere and notably serious finale. This is borderline old school in style and is going to need plenty of cellaring." (01/2017)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Keenan Spring Mountain District Cabernet Franc (OWC - 91RP, 90VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Keenan has always done a knock-out job with their Cabernet Franc, and their 2014 Cabernet Franc from their estate vineyards on Spring Mountain (100% of this variety) shows wonderful forest floor, white flowers, and raspberry and blueberry notes that clearly suggest a cool climate wine. Medium to full-bodied, with a beautiful deep ruby/purple color, and terrific purity and texture, this is a beauty to drink now or cellar for another 10-15 years. (RP)" (12/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Lucien Le Moine Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Clos des Argillieres" ((90-93VN), (89-92BH)). Vinous: "Good medium red. Reticent, slightly reduced aromas of red berries and smoky minerality. Sweet and firm, with red fruit and floral flavors suggesting a good level of sappy dry extract. John Gilman: "Coming from the best lots of the estate and a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Profile offers terrific notes of cassis, toasted spices, burning embers, and licorice. Possessing full-bodied richness, it's beautifully concentrated and has terrific purity of fruit, as well as good acidity, building tannin and a great finish. 2014 Mount Peak "Sentinel" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Mount Peak "Sentinel" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lastly, 4,750 cases were made of the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Sentinel, 83% from the Monte Rosso Vineyard in Sonoma and the rest from other Sonoma sources. It is a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petite Sirah aged in 53% new French oak. Again, ripeness is well-noted in the 15.7% alcohol, but there is not a bit of heat to the wine’s overall character. A wine of considerable stature, gravitas, intensity and full-bodied power, it is muscular, backward and somewhat primordial, this wine needs a good 1-2 more years bottle age and should last for 25-30 years. Patience, please. (RP)" (10/2017)

2008 Raventos i Blanc "Manuel Raventos" Conca del Riu Anoia
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2008 Raventos i Blanc "Manuel Raventos" Conca del Riu Anoia (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Somehow I had only tasted later releases under the Enoteca label ten years after the vintage, but they also sell a current vintage of their grand vin, a blend personally decided by Pepe Raventós father, Manuel Raventos Negra, after whom the wine is named. 2008 was not an easy vintage, but often challenging vintages result in very good wines, as seems to be the case of the 2008 Manuel Raventós Negra, a Xarello-based blend with 15% each Macabeo and Parellada, presented as a Brut Nature and disgorged at least after six years in contact with the lees. This 2008 is sharp and direct, very lively, vertical and mineral. This is probably a little thinner, but I like the austerity, the verticality it displays. This is the more evolved of the three vintages produced. (LG)" (10/2016)

The beautiful blueberry and black raspberry fruit, a cool, almost floral note, medium to full body and sensational purity and texture found in this full-bodied wine are classic Spring Mountain characteristics. 1971 Brane-Cantenac, Margaux
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1971 Brane-Cantenac, Margaux. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Opened at home on my 40th birthday and shared between two…what a lovely Margaux! A touch of dustiness soon dissipates on the nose, opening up nicely to reveal a slightly rustic yet fresh bouquet of blackberry, cedar, graphite and smoke all well defined and remaining intense from start to finish. The palate is medium-bodied, certainly not a powerful Brane-Cantenac and the tannins are slightly coarse. Yet there is ample freshness and focus here, just sufficient dark berry fruit though now overcome with secondary flavours such as sandalwood and leather. Not a profound wine, but no regrets opening this such a special day. Drink now. Tasted February 2011. (NM)" (05/2011)

1977 BV "Beau Tour" Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1977 BV "Beau Tour" Cabernet Sauvignon. The 1977 vintage in Napa Valley was uniformly warm, with heat stress setting in on the vines at one point. With early season pruning in anticipation of a low crop, the vines were able to withstand the heat, and sporadic rain showers just before and during harvest provided the necessary relief, with Cabernet grapes gaining balance and softer tannins. Among Napa's established icons, Beaulieu Vineyard made some of the wines of the vintage, pristine examples of which are still drinking marvelously even today.
