Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Kapcsándy "Estate Cuvée - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 96VN, 95JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The pinnacle for Bordeaux varietals in the 38 years that I have been tasting California wines is 2013. There is just an extra gear in all of the wines, great acids, profound concentration and wonderful integrated tannin and massive concentration that should ensure an incredibly long life for all of the top efforts. In many ways it is a more recent version of 2001. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Cuvée State Lane Vineyard, 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, spent 20 months in oak prior to being bottled unfiltered. They made 750 cases of it and it is a fabulous wine that is not far from being another perfect example. A classic, almost Médoc-like blend offers up notes of forest floor, blackcurrants, tobacco leaf, a touch of barrique, a saturated purple color, and, once past the gorgeous aro

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Lucia, St-Emilion (95RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another tiny St.-Emilion operation (7.5 acres, with one parcel of Merlot planted in 1901), Lucia’s brilliantly executed 2005 boasts an inky/purple/blue color along with a sweet perfume of blueberries, blackberries, charcoal, incense, Asian spices, and hints of coffee and pain grille in the background. This full-bodied, powerful, layered St.-Emilion is filled with fruit extract, glycerin, and tannin. It displays a certain accessibility, but it will undoubtedly be at its finest in 4-10 years, and keep for 25. This is another sumptuous wine from consultant Stephane Derenoncourt. (RP)" (04/2008)
Starting Bid: $245.00

Bid on this bottle of 1975 St. Urbans-Hof Leiwener Klostergarten Riesling Beerenauslese Mosel.
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2001 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (100JS, 100RP, 100WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I have had the very good fortune to taste the 2001 d'Yquem perhaps a dozen times since its release and have never been less than absolutely floored by its combination of poise, purity, precision and layer upon intricate, jaw-dropping layer of flavor nuances. It is among a very small clutch of incredible wines that crash through the 100-point ceiling and rocket beyond the stratosphere! A testament to that magic that can be created when an uncommonly great vintage for Sauternes brings out the best of an extraordinary vineyard and is skillfully, sensitively crafted, the 2001 is a true wine rarity that must be tried to be believed. (LPB)" (08/2019)
Starting Bid: $786.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L) (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this bottle of 1993 Penfolds "Grange" Shiraz South Australia (95WS, 94JH, 91RP). Wine Spectator: "Dark, peppery and earthy overtones add substance to this chewy, remarkably complex red wine. It delivers a ripe core of plum and dried currant, then branches out, hinting at anise and mineral on the finish. Approachable now, but oh what a future this has. *Cellar Selection, Top Wines of 1998* (HS)" (11/1998)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1970 Jose Alexandre Damasio Gomes Madeira Verdelho Colheita. Very few experiences in the wine world can compare to old Madeira. The complexity that these wines achieve with significant age is simply unlike any other. The lovely version demonstrates the more elegant side of aged Madeira, being composed of 100% Verdelho. Rarity aside, the sensory experience alone is more than worth the price of admission.
Starting Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1985 Etude Napa Valley Pinot Noir. Wine Spectator: "Rich and assertive with a distinct peppermint quality and ample plum and cherry flavors underneath. It's high in extract and coarse and tannic. Needs a stay in the cellar to smooth out." (06/1988)
Starting Bid: $75.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 1974 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml) (92JG). John Gilman: " The regular bottling of 1974 cabernet sauvignon from Robert Mondavi included four percent cabernet franc and two percent merlot in the blend and was produced in prodigious quantity, with fully fifty thousand cases made. It was first released from the winery in February of 1977 for $8 per bottle. Given that this was really a mass market wine in comparison to many others in this tasting, it is remarkable how beautifully the wine was made at the outset and how brilliantly it has aged. The bouquet today is deep, complex and very classy, offering up scents of cassis, a touch of dried eucalyptus, Cuban cigars, a fine base of soil, gentle herb tones and incipient notes of chipotle pepper. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, complex and beautifully balanced, with a fine core, still a touch of backend tannin and impressive length and grip on the focused finish. This has co

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Spatlese (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The demure nose of the 2001 Riesling Spatlese Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr offers delicate floral, mineral, and sweet citrus scents. On the palate, it bursts forth with candied lemons, awesome clarity of flavors, and a noble minerality. Light to medium-bodied and satin-textured, this is a penetrating wine with extraordinary detail and elegance. Additionally, its ethereal core of fruit lingers for over a minute in its focused, highly expressive finish. (PR)" (12/2002)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Trimbach Clos Ste. Hune Riesling (96JS, 96WE, 95VN, 94RP, 94ST, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Clos Ste Hune comes from a small parcel in the Rosacker Grand Cru vineyard. It is a wonderful, ethereal paean to Riesling—crisp while intensely perfumed with aromas of fennel and licorice. It’s dry in style, with elegant citrus flavors and a straight line of steely acidity, but finishes with a hint of honey. While delicious now, it’s not quite mature and could continue to improve until 2025. (RV)" (03/2014)

Bid on this 3L-bottle of 2012 Domaine Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (3L).
Starting Bid: $850.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin "Aux Echézeaux" Vieille Vigne ((90-92RP), (88-91BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin Aux Chezeaux, which Jean-Marie told me used to be a Premier Cru prior to the war, has a billowing bouquet of cranberry and red cherry fruit. The palate is succulent on the entry with fleshy strawberry and raspberry, a touch of soy on the back palate, lending fine delineation and sense of energy on the finish. Village cru flirting with premier cru quality? This is seriously good. (NM)" (12/2015)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 93DC, 92ST, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is one of the finest Opus Ones to date, offering a dark ruby/purple color, as well as a striking, intense bouquet of sweet licorice intermixed with blackberries, cassis, plums, and saddle leather. This seamless, full-bodied wine is more velvety-textured, opulent, and succulent than past vintages. The mid-palate is expansive and chewy. The long finish is filled with glycerin, ripe fruit, and sweet tannin. Drink this impressive, user-friendly yet richly concentrated effort over the next 15 years. (RP)" (01/2000)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2003 Merry Edwards "Olivet Lane" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L) (94W&S, 92CG, 91WS, 90WE). Wine & Spirits: "The Pellegrini family planted pinot noir at this old apple orchard in 1973; Merry Edwards used that fruit to build a massive wine in 2003. When first opened, it tastes vast and finely made-an earthy cake of succulent cherry and sweet oak. With air, the intensity grows only bolder with a dark herb savor. The fruit and oak meld, tasting like cherries grilled over charcoal. This is built for age, or for miso-glazed black cod." (10/2005)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100JD, 100RP, 98VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Scarecrow is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from two acres of old vines planted in 1945 by John Daniel and dry farmed. Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with tantalizing notions of violets, lavender, Black Forest cake, mulberries, tobacco leaf and fragrant earth with a core of warm cassis, kirsch, Chinese five spice, rose hip tea and cedar chest. The palate is full-bodied and super concentrated yet possesses great energy with vibrant red and black fruits and loads of mineral accents, framed by very ripe, super fine-grained tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing very long with the most incredible perfume. Hedonistically, undeniably and deliciously perfect. (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $1,400.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 B Cellars "Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon ((94-97RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I saw three 2015s, which won’t be bottled until the beginning of 2018, so I will keep my notes short. The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard shows enormous fruit extract, hints of minerality, licorice and graphite, but dense, concentrated, thick and unctuously textured fruit. This is going to be a killer wine for sure, but it is extremely young and oh so promising. (RP) 94-97+" (10/2018)

Wine Spectator: "*Top 100 Wines of 1995, Highly Recommended* A big, ripe and well oaked style, packs in lots of ripe plum and black cherry-laced fruit that runs deep and complex, finishing with smooth tannins and fine length. Finishes with a touch of herb and tobacco. Best after 1997." (11/1995)

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (91WS, 90ST, 90VN). Wine Spectator: "Slightly earthy, featuring tobacco, cigar box and dark fruits. Full-bodied, offering supervelvety tannins and a long, rich finish. Plenty of subtle things are going on here in the glass, with lots of wonderful fruit underneath. Can't wait on this. Showing beautifully now. Better than ever. (JS, Web Only-2010)"

Of the 2015 Domaine A&P de Villaine Mercury Rouge "Les Montots",Wine Spectator writes: "Displaying macerated cherry, kirsch, rose, earth and spice flavors, this ripe red is broad and firm yet silky, with density and the structure for aging. Fine, lingering aftertaste. Best from 2020 through 2029. (BS)" (05/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Paolo Scavino "Bric del Fiasc" Barolo (94WS, 93ST, 92RP). Wine Spectator: "Dark ruby color, with some garnet undertones. The nose shows ripe plum, as well as green coffee bean character. Full-bodied, with very soft and round tannins and ripe fruit. Turns to coffee, sweet tobacco and berries on the finish. Give it another couple years to mellow. 1998 Piedmont blind retrospective. (Web-2008)"
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this magnum of 2017 Aubert "Powder House" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (1.5L) (97JS, 97RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The first vintage of this wine, the 2017 Chardonnay Powder House comes from eight acres of what are now estate-owned vines planted in 2013, to Hyde Old Wente and Mt. Eden clones on Goldridge soils. The vineyard is located in downtown Forestville, right across from the high school. At 15.4% alcohol, like Aubert’s other single-vineyard, singular Chardonnays, this baby is no shrinking violet. Although it is a little youthfully closed to begin, it unwinds with coaxing to offer glimpses at baked apple, poached pears, peach preserves and pineapple upside-down cake plus hints of praline, crème brûlée and clover honey. Full-bodied, the palate features a wicked backbone of freshness, beautifully lifting all those concentrated, densely packed flavors, finishing very long and wonderfully pure. Drink through 2032. (LPB) 97+" (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $185.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92JG). John Gilman: "The 1985 Mondavi Cabernet reserve bottling contained twelve percent Cabernet franc and six percent Merlot in this vintage, and was aged in one hundred percent new oak. It weighs in at 13.1 percent alcohol, making it still a very classic vintage of this wine in terms of ripeness. I tasted two bottles of this wine for this article, with the first shipped to New York by the winery for a retrospective tasting, and which showed impressive complexity, but with slightly disjointed acidity on the backend that suggests less than fully successful acidulation in this era of 'sculpted wines.' The second bottle, which had been in a good friend’s cellar since its release was very polished and classy, and decidedly more interesting than the bottle flown in from Oakville. The bouquet is a complex and classy blend of black cherries, dark berries, a touch of chipotle, tobacco leaf, coffee, gent

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2011 Lamborghini "Campoleone" Umbria (1.5L) (OWC - 93JS) in original wood. James Suckling: "Very pretty fruit to this medium- to full-bodied wine, with shaved chocolate and hazelnuts. It's full-bodied, soft and dusty-textured, with a long, flavorful finish. Lovely drinkability to this wine. Drink or hold. " (03/2015)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Cirq "Treehouse Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (97RP, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The larger production cuvée (1,748 cases) is the 2013 Pinot Noir Treehouse Vineyard, which comes from a higher elevation site that's above the fog line, roughly eight miles from the Pacific Ocean. Its deep ruby color is followed by to-die-for notes of black raspberries, crushed violets, cassis, spice and toasted bread. Utterly perfect on the palate, with medium to full-bodied richness, an ethereal, seamless, multi-dimensional texture, fine tannin and crazy length, hats off to the team at CIRQ for this singular beauty. Give bottles a few years (if you can resist) and enjoy over the following decade or more. (JD)" (09/2016)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Bevan "Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The last two 2013s I tasted included the 2013 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain. This fabulous and exciting elixir is a equal-part blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot aged in equal parts Gamba and Darnajou, all new French oak. A stunning nose of forest floor, blueberry, blackberry, mulberry and spring flowers soars from the glass of this inky purple wine. Another offering of great intensity, with voluptuous texture and lavish, almost extravagant fruit richness, this pure, rich and incredibly well-made wine is yet more proof that Bevan is a genius on so many levels, as he can produce compelling wines whether they are Bordeaux varietals, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc or even Chardonnay. Drink now through 2040. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Hidden Ridge "Impassable Mountain Reserve" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE). Wine Enthusiast: "This has intensely concentrated flavors of black currant, blueberry preserves, violet, vanilla and buttered toast; it’s as delicious as any Cabernet out there. The structure shows firm tannins and fine acidity, true to its mountainous origins. Keep this in your cellar for at least six years, and as many as 20." (12/2012)

Of the 2017 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Another wine in the running for the wine of the vintage is the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard CCS, which, as always, is all Cabernet aged in new Darnajou barrels. Bid on this magnum of 2014 Carter "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard- The O.G." Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97RP, 97VN, 95JS). Vinous: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The O.G. is the wine where everything comes together. The fruit is ripe, but not too ripe. There is plenty of intensity and richness in the glass, but all the elements fall into place effortlessly. On the palate, the O.G. is sensual, silky and voluptuous, with all the best attributes of this famous site front and center. Crème de cassis, lavender and licorice are some of the many notes that build in the glass in this fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon. The O.G. captures the best of Mark Carter's style. (AG)" (12/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014-2016 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe Vertical, including 1-bottle of 2014 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (98JS, 97WE, 96VN, 95DC, 95JD, 94RP, 94WS), 1-bottle of 2015 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (98JS, 96WE, 95DC, 95RP, 94VN, 93JD, 92WS), and 1-bottle of 2016 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (100JS, 100RP, 100VN, 99JD, 97DC, 96WE, 96WS). Of the 2016 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe,Vinous writes: "The 2016 Cos d’Estournel was a bona fide showstopper out of barrel, the best that I had encountered in over 20 years of visiting the estate during en primeur, so my expectations were piled high when I returned to find out how it performs in bottle. Deep, almost opaque in color, it sports a very intense but broody bouquet with fathomless deep black fruit tinged with blueberry and violet. The aromas almost seem to envelop the senses. The palate is medium-bodied with ultra-fine tannin that I have never witnessed in any other vintage of Cos d’Estournel. There is a beguiling symmetr

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2006 Beau Vigne "Juliet" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 90ST). 93 points from Robert Parker: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Juliet (a 770-case blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc), while essentially a second wine, is a gorgeous effort. A deep ruby/purple color is followed by beautiful aromas of blackberries, black currants, coffee beans, cedar, and toasty oak, a wine with vivid fruit, an expansive, savory mouthfeel, sweet tannin, and a long finish. This is a beauty to drink over the next decade or more." (12/08) 90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright ruby. Aromatic nose offers cassis, graphite, pepper and spices. Supple and lush, with lovely sweetness to the expressive flavors of black raspberry, currant and pepper. Finishes sweetly oaky, ripe and persistent." (May/June '09)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Offering up perfumed, intense aromas of plum, violets, ink, licorice and black currants, it flows onto the palate with a massive, incredibly full-bodied texture that builds through the mid-palate and carries layers of polished tannins, awesome purity of fruit and blockbuster length. Most likely not for everyone given the sheer size, it is an incredible wine in my opinion. Still tasting like a barrel sample, it will have 30+ total years of longevity. Drink 2017-2037. (JD)" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Behrens & Hitchcock "Cemetery" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Cemetery (94% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest equal parts Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot) comes from the well-known Cemetery Vineyard in St. Helena. A terrific bouquet of acacia flowers, blueberries and blackberries is followed by a layered, opulent, rich, fleshy wine with loads of fruit, sweet tannin and excellent purity as well as length. This is a stunning example of the heights that Behrens Family Winery can achieve. " (04/2014)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1974 Sterling "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Patience has never been one of my virtues, but after twenty years this wine still seems formidable, and oh so backward and tough. I am beginning to think the tannin will ultimately win the battle between the wine's fruit and structure. The color remains an impressive saturated plum/garnet, with only a hint of amber at the edge. The tight nose reluctantly offers up earthy, truffle-like scents intertwined with aromas of jammy black-cherries, herbs, and wood. Full body and impressive extract remain hallmarks of this twenty-year old wine. However, the ferocious tannin with its astringent bite is more noticeable than ever. I am not giving up on it as there are still too many impressive components...(RP)" (08/1994)

Wine Spectator: "Amazingly refined, with a pure, silky current of raspberry ganache and cassis flavors that glides along supple tannins. Hints of mocha, mineral and garrigue check in on the long, pure finish. Has serious structure for the long haul. All about balance and finesse. Drink now through 2030. *Highly Recommended, #11 on the Top 100 of 2006* (JM)" (11/2006)

Bid on this magnum of 1996 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (94RP, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The saturated purple-colored 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard offers an attractive nose of black fruits intermixed with toast, minerals, subtle tar, and wood smoke. Full-bodied, with impressive purity, a multi-layered mid-palate and finish, it is an expressive, pure, powerful, and large-boned wine. (RP)" (12/1999)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes (98RP, 97JD, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the true superstars in the vintage, the Sabon’s 2005 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvee Vieilles Vignes is deeper and richer than the cuvee Chaupin, yet stays just as balanced, fresh and drinkable. Loaded with notes of ripe black fruits, smoked herbs, smoked meats and licorice, it has full-bodied richness and power, a deep, decadent texture and beautifully integrated acidity which keeps it pure, lively and fresh. It’s another incredible wine from this estate that will continue to thrill for a decade. (JD)" (02/2015)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 98JS, 98VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mark Aubert notes that this is a complex vineyard. It is planted to four different clones: two Old Wente clones, Mount Eden and Corton Charlemagne. The 2017 Chardonnay Lauren Estate starts out with a quiet intensity of ripe pears, apricot tart and spiced apples notes, growing exponentially to reveal a whole spectrum of savory/earthy nuances: marzipan, cashews, yeast extract, oolong tea, chalk dust and nutmeg. Full-bodied, the palate truly lets off the flavor fireworks, giving up loads of citrus, stone fruit, pears and savory flavors plus a racy backbone, finishing very long and very moreish. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1974 Burgess "Vintage Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This is Burgess' best cabernet, and in spectacular cabernet vintages such as 1974, it really shines. Mature and subdued at 45 years of age, it would be a very special treat for a friend's 45th birthday.
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Vietti Barolo "Lazzarito" (94WS, 92RP). 94 points Wine Spectator: "Loads of ripe fruit here with spices and cherries. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, long finish. This is big and chewy, yet balanced with lots of fruit. I like this as much as the 2000. Best after 2008. 360 cases made." (10/05) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Barolo Lazzarito is the darkest of these wines. It opens with a penetrating nose of toasted oak, cherries in liqueur, menthol, minerals and tar. The Lazzarito is a beautifully conceived wine that combines dark, backward Serralunga fruit and a very modern approach into a convincing whole, with excellent length and persistence on the palate. There is noticeably more extract in the fruit here to support the oak. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019." (10/06)
