Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Turley "Juvenile" California Zinfandel (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest buys in this portfolio is the 2004 Zinfandel Juvenile, an 800- to 1,000-case blend made from younger vines. It offers plenty of jammy black cherry and briery fruit, low acidity, a plump, heady mouthfeel, good texture, and a seductive, lush finish with abundant alcohol as well as glycerin. (RP)" (12/2005)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Ridge Vineyards Zinfandel Tasting Lot, including 2-bottles of 2014 Ridge Vineyards "Jimsomare" Santa Cruz Mountains Zinfandel (94RP) and 2-bottles of 2014 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton East Hills" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend. Of the 2014 Ridge Vineyards "Jimsomare" Santa Cruz Mountains Zinfandel,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "From vines planted on Monte Bello's limestone soils before Prohibition, the 2014 Zinfandel Jimsomare is a beauty, opening in the glass with a pure bouquet of blackberry, currants, sweet forest floor and clove-like spice. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, bright and textural, with velvety tannins, an ample core of fruit and beautiful balance. It's a comparatively gourmand, generous rendition of Jimsomare that attained 15.2% natural alcohol, but it retains the precision and tension that are this bottling's calling card and which make it such a singular Zinfandel. Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 2013 Ridge Vineyards "Mazzoni Home Ranch" Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend. A members-only release that is a part of the Advanced Tasting Program at Ridge. From the winery: "Giuseppe Mazzoni and his fourteen-year-old brother-in-law, Abramo Trusendi, arrived from Italy in 1898 and went straight to work at the Italian Swiss Colony vineyard cooperative in Asti, California. In 1899, the two managed to acquire hillside acreage nearby overlooking Alexander Valley from the west. By 1910 they had built a winery and begun making wine. Except for the Prohibition years, the Mazzoni family produced wine there until 1978. They were great believers in the contribution each varietal in a field blend could make to the finished wine. Accordingly, their century-old zinfandel is interplanted with carignane, which adds elegance and lively acidity, and petite sirah, which provides spice and depth. The Mazzoni Home Ranch was purchased in 1988 by Niccolo and Flora Oltranti. They have

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015-2017 Ridge Vineyards "Hooker Creek" Sonoma Valley Zinfandel Vertical, including 2-bottles of 2015 Ridge Vineyards "Hooker Creek" Sonoma Valley Zinfandel, 2-bottles of 2016 Ridge Vineyards "Hooker Creek" Sonoma Valley Zinfandel, and 2-bottles of 2017 Ridge Vineyards "Hooker Creek Vineyard" Sonoma Valley Zinfandel. Of the 2016 Ridge Vineyards "Hooker Creek" Sonoma Valley Zinfandel,Another stellar, old-vine, head-trained vineyard in Sonoma County, Hooker Creek is an incredibly unique site, with gravelly loam soils washed down from Monte Rosso. Here's the winery's description of the site writes: "This old-vine vineyard is planted along Hooker Creek, north of the town of Glen Ellen in Sonoma Valley. The section of the vineyard we receive fruit from was planted in 1888 on a part of the Agua Caliente Spanish Land grant purchased from General Vallejo by Joseph Hooker and William Sherman in 1854. Despite an ethically questionable life style, “Fighting Joe” Hooke

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton Springs" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel (95VN, 94JD, 94JS, 92RP, 92WS, 91W&S). Vinous: "The 2016 Lytton Springs is a powerful, dense wine. Black cherry, plum, lavender, new leather, cloves, licorice and menthol flesh out. Deep, plush and richly textured, the 2016 Lytton Springs packs a real punch. The 23% Petite Sirah is felt in the wine's darkness and overall gravitas. There is more than enough richness and structure to support many years of fine drinking. What a gorgeous wine this is. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton Springs" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel (95CG, 93RP, 93ST). Connoisseurs Guide: "Rich, ripe and refined, Ridge's Lytton Springs bottling is once again a showcase for complex yet wonderfully mannerly winemaking. There is fullness in the body and balance at every stop making for a firm yet alluring palatal impression even at the wine's tender age. Its deep berry and spice flavors are lifted further by a dollop of creamy, somewhat vanillin-scented oak, and the wine's tannins, while somewhat elevated by the underlying acidity are no more than one would want to find in a wine that will lie down for a half decade and more while it achieves its comfortable majority. *Three Stars*" (01/2013)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Ridge Vineyards "Jimsomare" Late Harvest Santa Cruz Mountains Zinfandel. From the winery: "Since the late 1960s, Ridge has made small quantities—ranging from five to seventeen barrels—of wine from this nineteenth-century vineyard. A number of you are familiar with our Jimsomare Zinfandel. The vines were planted by Alsatian Pierre Klein, a San Francisco restaurateur. While famous for his Bordeaux-varietal wines, which won gold medals at the Paris Exposition of 1900, it was his zinfandel plantings that survived Prohibition and the Depression. In 1936, San Francisco's Schwabacher family purchased Klein's Mira Valle property, re-naming it "Jimsomare," for James (father and son), Sophie (wife and mother), and Marie Louise (daughter). In 1966, vineyard manager Elmano Homem pruned the long-neglected vines, and brought the vineyard back to life. Ridge first harvested the zinfandel in 1968. We shared in replanting the cabernet vineyards adding some chardonnay ac

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton Estate" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel. A members-only release from Ridge's ATP. From the winery: "In 1972, Ridge made its first Lytton Springs from vines planted at the turn of the 19th century. We purchased both the eastern and western portions of the vineyard in the early 1990s. (In the 1870s, under “Captain” William Litton’s ownership, the two were part of one property; spelling evolved into “Lytton” by 1903). Each year, we harvest and ferment separately the approximately 30 parcels that make up the Lytton springs Vineyard. In some vintages, during blending we hold out certain blocks that, due to ripeness or structure, show better on their own. We combine these to make the Lytton Estate." Vintage notes: "Nose of blackberry jam, licorice and pepper. Full bodied and rich on the palate with well-coated tannins. Notes of mineral and mint add to the lingering finish. (01/2017)"

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Ridge Vineyards "Mazzoni Home Ranch" Sonoma County Zinfandel. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Turley "Old Vines" California Zinfandel (91VN). Vinous: "The 2013 Zinfandel Old Vines is dark, pliant and expressive, with fabulous depth and overall balance. Black cherry, plum, mocha, and exotic spices flesh out on the inviting, generous finish. This is another compelling Zinfandel that overdelivers for the price in a big way. (AG)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton Springs" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel (94VN, 91CG, 91RP). Vinous: "The 2014 Lytton Springs is another absolutely gorgeous wine...there appears to be plenty of complexity and depth hiding behind the acidity and tannin. Far from an easygoing Zinfandel, the 2014 Lytton is a wine to buy and cellar for at least a handful of years. The wine's richness, persistence and vertical intensity all lead me to believe it will be special in time. Black cherry, pomegranate, mint and sweet spices meld into the resonant finish. A kick of tannin from the Petite adds personality, something the 2014 has in spades. This is an absolutely stellar set of wines from Ridge... Zinfandel fans will find much to like in the 2014s, a vintage that produced super-elegant wines. Of course, the biggest news at Ridge is Paul Draper's retirement, but then again, that has been in the works for so long that it was hardly a surprise when it was formally announced earlier t

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Ridge Vineyards "Mill-York Creek Vineyard" Napa Valley Zinfandel. From the winery: "York Creek Vineyard, situated high on Spring Mountain, overlooks St. Helena and the Napa Valley from the west. Ridge came here in 1971 for the old-vine petite sirah. We first harvested York Creek zinfandel in 1975, and have made it in every vintage since."

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Turley "Cedarman" Howell Mountain Zinfandel (97RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A Howell Mountain Zinfandel, the 2013 Zinfandel Cedarman Vineyard is a proprietary blend of Zinfandel from both the Rattlesnake Ridge and Dragon Vineyards. A tiny bit of Petite Syrah and Syrah makes it into the final blend. This is profound wine. Inky ruby/purple, with notes of blackcurrants, blackberries and a floral component as well, this full-bodied, stunningly rich, concentrated and structured Zinfandel is loaded. Dense and powerful (15.8% alcohol), the wine will last for 10-15 or more years. This is a great, great effort in what looks to be an unreal vintage in terms of quality for Turley. With a finish that goes on for a good 40-45 seconds, this is amazing stuff. 97+ (RP)" (04/2015)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2003 Martinelli "Giuseppe & Luisa" Russian River Valley Zinfandel (92ST, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium red. Brambly raspberry, currant and tobacco aromas complicated by hints of dill and dried flowers; almost pinot-like. Wonderfully sweet and velvety-deep, with a pliant texture given shape and verve by lively acidity. This is already delicious but should be even better for a year of two of additional cellaring.
