1966 Latour, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1966 Latour, Pauillac (96JG, 96RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1966 Latour remains an exemplar of the vintage, certainly one of the best, if not the best Left Bank wine of the vintage. Here, served blind, its quality was a beacon, quintessentially Pauillac with that trademark graphite seam through the intense black fruit, cold stone and a touch of tobacco. It remains undimmed by its age (though this was served from a magnum of impeccable provenance). The palate is medium-bodied and that graphite theme continues unabated, flanked by beautiful, precise and pure vestiges of black fruit. 'Pure class' are the final two words of my tasting note and at 50 years old, they sum up this immensely impressive Château Latour. (NM)" (10/2016)

2009 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96ST, 95CG, 95WE, 95WS, 93W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Monte Bello ,72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot is simply magnificent. Layers of dark red fruit, flowers, spices and graphite are all woven together in this utterly impeccable wine. The 2009 is an especially huge, intense Monte Bello, yet a sexy, silky core of fruit lies within its imposing frame. Everything comes together in this glorious, radiant wine. Last year the 2009 had some pretty stiff competition from the 2010, but today it is simply firing on all cylinders. Eric Baugher describes 2009 as a year with cold weather early on, followed by heat in early June and July. The fruit was brought in on October 12, just before an intense downpour swept through the region. There is a purity and silkiness supported by structure in the 2009 that is impossible not to admire. Simply put, this i

2009 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 96WE, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Also incredibly concentrated, with burly structure and a mountain of tannin, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard (99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot) delivers a seriously intense array of blackberry and kirsch-styled fruit, licorice, charcoal and spice box on both the nose and palate. Aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak and a big, broad shouldered, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, it possesses a rocking mid-palate and fabulous length on the finish. Really showing the power of its Red Mountain terroir, it needs 4-5 years of bottle age to become civilized and will have decades of evolution. Drink now through 2034. (JD)" (06/2013)

2013 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (100RP, 96VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Of course, it’s hard to find any, but there are usually about eight to 15 barrels of his estate Chardonnay from Coombsville called 'The Judge' in honor of his father. From old Wente clones originally planted in 1975, yields are rarely in excess of one ton of fruit per acre, which no doubt accounts for its extraordinary intensity and richness. The 2013 Chardonnay The Judge is perfect, and certainly one of the greatest Chardonnays I have ever tasted. Keeping in mind that Kongsgaard is no youngster at this game (2015 was his 41st vintage making wine), his 2013 The Judge, from the white volcanic soil in Coombsville called tufa, is an amazing wine of great intensity, power, glory, elegance, texture, density and richness. The wine offers up loads of tangerine oil, caramelized citrus, honeysuckle, white peach, apricots, and wet stones. It seems to be a smorgasbord of a

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini Clos-St.-Denis Grand Cru ((94-96RP), (92-94BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Clos Saint Denis Grand Cru is raised in 50% new oak from Hermitage and Remond cooperages and includes 70% whole bunch fruit. It has a very well-defined bouquet with blackberry, briary, pressed flowers and minerals that gently unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, beautifully focused and it manages to retain the elegance and finesse that defines great Clos Saint Denis. You would not call it understated, but its class creeps up on you by stealth rather than brags about it in your face. (NM)" (12/2017)

2013 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Red Blend (93VN, 90RP). Vinous: "Bryant's DB4 is one of Napa Valley's hidden gems. Round, sweet and expressive - especially for the year - the 2013 exudes richness and intensity, with no excess weight and fabulous overall balance. The 2013 benefits from a high presence of Cabernet Franc that in most years makes the cut for the Bettina. Raspberry jam, mocha, rose petals and mint add the closing shades of nuance. Savvy readers should take note; DB4 is one of the finest wines in Napa Valley in its price range, or any price range for that matter. (AG)" (10/2015)

1969 Louis Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1969 Louis Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The story of Louis Martini is a key chapter in Napa's winemaking history. Genovese immigrant Louis Martini established his first business in 1922, smack in the middle of Prohibition (in force in the U.S. from 1919 until 1933). He was therefore limited to making "sacramental and medicinal" wines at first. With the end of prohibition, Martini became one the first winemakers in California to produce vintage varietal table wines in quantity, and at reasonable prices. His son's 1968/70 Merlot was the first varietal Merlot made in the U.S. Sourced from prime vineyards in Napa and Sonoma, including Monte Rosso in the mountains above Sonoma Valley and La Loma in the cool Carneros district south of Napa, and made with care and expertise, Louis Martini wines have aged exceptionally well. With their hallmark of impeccable balance, older Louis Martini Cabs never cease to amaze.

2011 Sine Qua Non "The Moment" California White Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "The Moment" California White Blend (95RP, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting off the tasting and a prodigious, unctuous white, the 2011 The Moment checks in as a blend of 57% Roussanne, 19% Petit Manseng, 17% Chardonnay and 7% Viognier that spent 16 months in a combination of concrete, new and used barrels, and stainless steel. Offering up notions of marzipan, citrus oil flowers, marmalade and spiced apricots, it flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness and depth that's balanced by beautiful underlying freshness and clarity. While I would lean towards drinking bottles over the coming 2-3 years, these can absolutely age, and have upwards of 10-15+ years of longevity. Drink now-2017+. (JD)" (08/2013)

1976 Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1976 Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91JG). John Gilman: "The 1976 Freemark Abbey cabernet sauvignon is a lovely example of the vintage, with the “dried fruit character” of this drought year, but with a sweet, extant core and lovely focus and balance still defining the wine as it closes in on its fortieth birthday. The excellent nose jumps from the glass in a blend of desiccated cherries, Rutherford dust, petroleum jelly, dried spice tones and gentle notes of woodsmoke in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and velvety, with excellent complexity, a fine core, still just a touch of tannin on the backend and a long, tangy and beautifully balanced finish. Really a lovely bottle of wine at its apogee, but still with plenty of life in it. Drink between 2015-2025." (08/2015)

1971 Latour, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1971 Latour, Pauillac (95JG, 94RP, 93JS, 93VN). John Gilman: "As I mentioned above, the 1971 vintage of Latour was in that first small cache of the estate’s wines that I bought back in the mid-1980s, and I have searched out and drunk this wine with great regularity up until only a couple of years ago, when the wine market woke up to its excellence and prices started to move up rather dramatically. It still looks like a stunning value when one considers that the still very backward 2005 was released ex-cellar for 670 euros a bottle, and only a few years back, this gorgeous wine could still be found around $200 a bottle. The wine is classic Latour, offering up a black fruity bouquet of dark berries, cassis, cigar ash, walnuts, gravelly soil tones, a nice touch of meatiness and a plenty smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and now wide open and fully mature, with a fine core, lovely soil signature, melting, suave tannins and lovely length

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99JS, 96WS, 94VN, 93RP) in original wood. James Suckling: "Like listening to cool mellow rock 'n' roll. Extraordinary aromas of violets and dark fruits such as blueberries and currants. I can't get over the aromas here. Then it goes to minerals with just a hint of bay leaf. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins with a beautiful softness and beautifulness. I love the balance and harmony to this with bright acidity. I would drink this before the 2007. Just under 1,000 cases of 12 but all sold in threes. Reminds me of Leoville Las Cases but with Napa brightness. Enjoy or hold for a long time." (06/2011)

1982 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Margaux, Margaux (97JS, 97RP, 97VN, 92WS). Vinous: "The 1982 Château Margaux is a real stunner. An exotic, almost candied bouquet melds into sweet red-hued fruit in a voluptuous, racy Margaux endowed with magnificent purity. Large and ample on the palate, with silky tannins and translucent fruit, the 1982 is rich yet also miraculously seamless. All the elements are in the right place. I followed this bottle over several hours, during which it only improved. The 1982 won’t last forever, but it will deliver thrilling drinking for up to another decade. The medium-bodied palate fills the mouth with perfumed red fruit preserves, supported by chewy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy. (LPB)" (02/2018)

1982 Brane-Cantenac, Margaux
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1982 Brane-Cantenac, Margaux (90VN, 90WS). Vinous: "The 1982 Brane-Cantenac was picked September 15 to October 1. It has a more conservative bouquet compared to the superior 1983, featuring black and red fruit, tobacco, mint and pressed flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with fine definition, just a touch of dark chocolate infiltrating the black fruit on the entry. There is a dab of spice and white pepper toward the tertiary finish, which persists as you would expect in a great vintage. This is very fine, even if the 1983 Brane-Cantenac is better. 1982 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche . Jasper Morris, MW writes: "Domaine Dujac in Burgundy was acquired by Jacques Seysses in 1967. The domaine in Morey-St-Denis had 4 hectares of vineyards and he has subsequently built it up to 11.5 hectares. Domaine Dujac now includes holdings in Clos de la Roche, Clos St-Denis, Bonnes-Mares, Echézeaux and Charmes-Chambertin . "Use knowledge and technology to counter accidents - for example, bad weather - but, if all is going well, don't interfere," says Seysses and this principle guides much of what happens in the vineyards and the cellars. Bid on this bottle of 2004 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah (100RP, 98WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The most structured of the three Syrahs, the 2004 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard (100% Syrah from mostly flint and sandstone soils) is the most youthful in the lineup, with still obvious structure, incredible purity, and a finish that just won’t quit. Giving up notions of creme de cassis, smoked meats, crushed rock-like minerality, pepper and even hints of bacon fat, it’s more focused and precise than the Lorraine, yet has full-bodied richness, awesome purity and perfect balance between its structure and fruit. Here it is the wine’s sublime, layered personality that stands out most. Small red berries, crushed flowers, spices and mint flow through to the finish. In 2010, the Cerise is flat-out gorgeous. Well, Ridge's 2000 Monte Bello is still not ready to drink. Huge, rich and voluptuous, but backed up by serious structure, the 2000 is still a very, very young wine. Readers who own the 2000 should be thrilled. With time in the glass, the 2000 starts to open up a little bit aromatically, but the tannins remain imposing. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini Clos-St.-Denis Grand Cru ((92-94BH), (91-93RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A discreetly toasty nose offers up beautifully layered aromas of black cherry, rose petal, earth and a hint of tea. As one would reasonably expect the mouth feel of the textured middle weight flavors is notably finer even though this is every bit as structured as the Millandes, all wrapped in an impressively long finish that delivers the same fine complexity as the nose. This beautiful effort is a combination of finesse and power and once again at least a decade of patience will be required." (01/2016)

2005 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A nose of black raspberries interwoven with floral notes of blackcurrants and spice jump from the glass of this dense ruby/plum/purple wine. This famous vineyard at the northern end of Napa Valley, which in this era was owned by Bart and Daphne Araujo (today owned by François Pinault, the proprietor of Château Latour), can certainly make the argument that it’s one of the first growths of Napa Valley. Sweet, velvety tannin, medium to full body, and extraordinary complexity and elegance characterize this wine, which is seamless and drinking beautifully. While not one of their longest-lived vintages, the balance and purity suggest that, while it may be entering its fully mature stage, it certainly can keep going for another 10-15 years. The finish is easily 40 seconds-plus. (RP)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Anderson's Conn Valley "Estate Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the few wineries to make a 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve that eclipsed its 2007 counterpart is Anderson’s Conn Valley. A spectacular effort that is as black as a moonless night, this full-bodied wine boasts abundant aromas of creme de cassis, camphor and subtle oak presented in a voluptuously textured, full-bodied style with terrific richness and depth. Great intensity and opulence as well as a layered mouthfeel make for a remarkable wine that should age for 20-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Gruaud Larose, St-Julien (94RP, 94W&S, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A very strong effort for Gruaud Larose, possibly eclipsed by what they have done in 2009, this is a pure, full-bodied Gruaud Larose with plenty of new saddle leather, cedar wood, black currants, cherries, licorice, and Provencal herbs. Spicy, earthy, full-bodied, and rich, it has hit its plateau of full maturity, where it should stay for another 20 or more years. (RP)" (06/2010)

2005 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche Grand Cru (1.5L) (96BH, 96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Seysses’ 2005 Clos de la Roche charts new territory in this collection for sheer intensity. Black cherry, kirsch distillate, cedar, incense, iron filings, wet stone, and roasted meats and coffee represent a few of the immediate aromatic suggestions forced on this taster. In the mouth, it is similarly compelling, with an eruption of clear black cherry, cassis, and meat juices, faintly bitter notes of fruit skin and pungent herbal and mineral notes adding complexity. The texture is incipiently velvety, imposingly glossy, and a perfect cover for fine, abundant tannins. Spectacularly rich and reverberative in its multifaceted finish, this sensational wine deserves at least a decade of rest before re-opening. (DS)" (06/2007)

Of the 2016 Cayuse "En Cerise" Walla Walla Valley Syrah,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2016 Syrah En Cerise Vineyard is another winner (best to date?), showing an incredibly bloody, iron quality as well as beautiful purity in its bright cherry, blackberries, violets, pork fat, and acacia flower aromas and flavors. Bid on this bottle of 2009 Marcassin "Blue Slide Ridge" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2009 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge reminds me of one of the great vintages of the DRC Vosne-Romanee. Notes of forest floor, jammy raspberries, blueberries, boysenberries and spring flowers are followed by a full-bodied, textured, layered mouthfeel, and great intensity, precision and freshness. This stunning 2009 is already showing considerable complexity, and should age effortlessly for 10-15 years. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Charles Smith "Skull" Royal Slope Columbia Valley Syrah (98RP, 97WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Skull is also from the Stone Ridge Vineyard in the Royal Slope. It was aged in 20% new oak with some stems. It is a more brooding effort with aromas of earth, underbrush, truffle, Asian spices, incense, and blueberry. It is slightly more structured with a bit more density and richness. Give it 6-8 years of additional bottle age and drink it from 2017 to 2032. (JM)" (08/2010)

The flavors are extremely rich, sweet and wonderfully concentrated with a deep, very sweet essence of pinot finish that still retains glimpses of its former power. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 95RP, 95ST, 95W&S, 93VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Monte Bello is marked by the drought vintage, which not only made a more concentrated crop but also deprived the blend of all supporting varieties, as only Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot handled the dry conditions sufficiently gracefully to make the final cut. At age ten, this muscular Monte Bello is finally beginning to unwind, offering up rich aromas of black cherry, cassis, dried mountain laurel, loamy soil and burning embers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, expansive and powerful, its generous, sweetly fruited attack giving way to a taut, firm mid-palate that doesn't show as much finesse as the 2010 or 2012, concluding with a long, stony finish. Baugher observes that in its youth, the 2008 was "monolithic and more angular—a mouthful of tannin." A decade later, it's beginning to soften, but it still req
