Krug "Grande Cuvée" Brut Champagne
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of Krug "Grande Cuvée" Brut Champagne (96JS, 96RP, 95VN, 95WE, 95WS, 94JG, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Compared to Krug's 160th edition, the bright golden-yellow colored NV Grande Cuvée 166ème Édition (ID117010) is still a baby that shows the chalky and fruity features of a young white Burgundy intermixed with notes of Schwarzwälder Kirsch (dark cherries with black chocolate) and floral (ammonia) flavors on the pure, fresh and elegant yet intense and still yeasty brioche nose with its ripe apple aromas and refreshingly bright (lemon juice) overtones. Round, wide and very elegant yet also straight and tense on the palate, this 2010-dominated cuvée is very delicate, fresh and chalky but also dense and lush in its vinous texture. The finish is well-structured, fresh and persistent, indicating great complexity and vibrancy. However, I would wait at least another three years, during which time the 166th edition will gain even more finesse and quiet. The

2011 Sine Qua Non "The Moment" California White Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "The Moment" California White Blend (95RP, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting off the tasting and a prodigious, unctuous white, the 2011 The Moment checks in as a blend of 57% Roussanne, 19% Petit Manseng, 17% Chardonnay and 7% Viognier that spent 16 months in a combination of concrete, new and used barrels, and stainless steel. Offering up notions of marzipan, citrus oil flowers, marmalade and spiced apricots, it flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness and depth that's balanced by beautiful underlying freshness and clarity. While I would lean towards drinking bottles over the coming 2-3 years, these can absolutely age, and have upwards of 10-15+ years of longevity. Drink now-2017+. (JD)" (08/2013)

H. Billiot "Brut Reserve" Champagne
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of H. Billiot "Brut Reserve" Champagne (92BH, 92WS, 91JG). Wine Spectator: "This shows lovely integration overall, marrying sleek acidity and a finely detailed mousse to flavors of dried apricot, toasted almond and spice box, with the tension to keep this lingering on the long finish of candied pink grapefruit zest. Disgorged June 2017. Drink now through 2022. 400 cases imported. (AN)" (11/2018)

2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" California White Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" California White Blend (97RP, 95JS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the same league, the 2012 In The Abstract is a classic Sine Qua Non white blend of 37% Chardonnay, 31% Roussanne, 16% Petite Manseng and 16% Viognier. Coming from roughly equal parts Bien Nacido, Cumulus and Eleven Confessions vineyard, it spent just under 19 months in 48% used barrels (1-4 years old), 27% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs. It sports a slightly darker color than the Chardonnay and offers up incredible notes of caramelized peaches, poached apples, white flowers and crushed rock that flow seamlessly to a full-bodied, decadent, yet classy and graceful feel on the palate. It’s a classic effort that doesn’t pull any punches, yet also never seems hot, heavy or puts a foot wrong. Enjoy this beauty over the coming decade or more. Drink through 2024. (JD)" (08/2014)

1996 Moët & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Moët & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (98RP, 97BH, 96WE, 95JG, 95VN, 94CG, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 1996 Dom Perignon, which has largely disappeared from the marketplace, may be the finest young example of DP I have ever tasted. Notes of crushed rocks, honeysuckle, lemon oil, orange marmalade, and white pear provide a stunning aromatic display as well as palate impression. Great acidity and huge flavor intensity backed up by vibrant acidity make this an exquisite Champagne. It should drink well for 20-25 years, possibly longer. Readers should remember that the 1971 Dom Perignon Rose is still drinking exquisitely. I recently had the 1969 and 1970 Dom Perignons (from magnum), and both were drinking brilliantly. It makes one realize just how long-lived these wines can be. (RP)" (12/2005)

2014 Sine Qua Non "Light Motif" Central Coast Proprietary White Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Sine Qua Non "Light Motif" Central Coast Proprietary White Blend (97RP, 95JD, 94VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting with the whites and a rich, thrillingly concentrated and unctuous wine from Manfred, the 2014 White Wine Lightmotif is made from 47% Roussanne, 21% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 11% Viognier and 7% Marsanne that spent 19 months in a combination of concrete eggs, new French oak, neutral barrels and a tiny portion in stainless steel. Coming from close to equal parts Eleven Confessions, Cumulus and Bien Nacido vineyards, this beauty sports a medium gold color to go with a rich, layered profile that carries tons of ripe peach, honeycomb, pineapple, flowers and citrus. Pure, elegant and silky on the palate, with full-bodied richness, it never puts a foot wrong, is ethereally textured and has a great finish. Drink it anytime over the coming decade. James Suckling: "A Champagne that has turned to a very fine texture with dried pineapple and lemon character. Medium to full body, complex and flavorful palate. Shows length and beauty. Pie crust, cooked apple and lemon rind continue on the finish. A truly great 2000 with a combination of finesse and strength. It’s very, very minerally to a point of sea salt. It was disgorged in first half of 2016. Drink or hold." (01/2018)

Leacock ''1872'' Madeira
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of Leacock ''1872'' Madeira. John Leacock sailed to Madeira from the United Kingdom (after the death of his father) in 1741 and at the age of 15 became the youngest apprentice at the firm of Madeira merchants, Catanach and Murdoch staying until his contract expired on 11 March 1749. During his apprenticeship he had been in constant contact with an old school friend, John Patient, residing at that time in Charles Town, South Carolina who suggested that they themselves should commence trading. Leacock agreed and this marks the birth of the now world famous company.

2002 Moët & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Moët & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (98VN, 97DC, 96RP, 96W&S, 95WS). Vinous: "The 2002 Dom Pérignon is unforgettable. Rich, sumptuous and flamboyant to the core, the 2002 captures all of the radiance of a year in which ripeness in the Chardonnays was pushed to the edge. The 2002 is oily and viscous on the palate, with tremendous textural resonance in all of its dimensions. Tropical fruit, pastry and exotic floral notes all build as the 2002 opens up with air. I can still remember the first time I tasted the 2002, here in the Hautvillers cloister, with former Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy. It was thrilling back then, and is every bit as memorable today. 2010 Sine Qua Non "The Monkey" White Rhône Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Sine Qua Non "The Monkey" White Rhône Blend (95JD, 94VN, 92RP, 92ST). Jeb Dunnuck: "Manfred Krankl’s 2010 The Monkey, which is tight and reserved right out of the gate (don’t be afraid to give Manfred’s whites plenty of air, they need it) opens up beautifully and has a classic Rhône-like bouquet of buttered citrus, tangerines, honeyed minerality, and exotic floral notes. Decadent, powerful and concentrated on the palate, it will easily stand up to the top white Hermitage bottlings out there." (08/2018)

2016 Sine Qua Non "Deux Grenouilles" White Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Deux Grenouilles" White Blend (97JD, 94RP, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Deux Grenouilles is another brilliant white from this estate. Based on 36% Roussanne, 29% Chardonnay, 23% Viognier, and the balance Petite Manseng and Muscat, brought up 48% new French oak (the balance is in neutral oak and concrete eggs). This rich, full-bodied, incredibly elegant white offers up a smorgasbord of buttered citrus, orange blossom, flower oil, and honeyed minerality. Despite being a full-bodied, powerful wine, it stays fresh and graceful, with terrific freshness and acidity. It needs a decant if drinking any time soon and should keep for a decade or more. Drink 2018-2033." (10/2018)
