Bid on this bottle of 2015 Abreu "Rothwell Hyde" St. Helena Bordeaux Blend (97JD, 94JS, 93VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "First made in 2001, the 2015 Rothwell Hyde is a complex blend from all four of the estate vineyards. It's unquestionably more forward and approachable than the single vineyards yet plays in the powerful, serious, incredibly impressive style of this estate. Blockbuster notes of blue fruits, barbecue smoke, camphor, and violets all flow to a full-bodied, thrillingly pure, flamboyant 2015 that has sweet tannins, no hard edges, and remarkable purity of fruit. It's well worth your time and money and can be drunk any time over the coming 3 decades. " (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $115.00

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Levy & McClellan "Ampersand" Napa Valley Red Blend. Formed in 1999 by husband and wife Bob Levy and Martha McClellan, each a highly lauded winemaker in their own right, Levy & McClellan is a boutique cult Napa brand up there with the likes of Harlan (where Bob served as long-time winemaker), Realm, Ovid, and Hundred Acre. Martha's resumé includes time at the helm at such luminary properties as Sloan and Blankiet, so these two represent the hands behind some of Napa's most acclaimed (and coveted) wines. These wines are mailing list only and are extremely difficult to find on the open market. Robert Parker writes, "Although expensive, no one will complain about the quality in the bottle as they are clearly Napa Valley first-growths."
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1978 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (92WS, 91RP). Wine Spectator: "(JS; no tasting note given)" (01/1989)
Starting Bid: $380.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 96JS, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon emerges from another first-growth vineyard that was acquired by Andy Beckstoffer in 1993, and planted with multiple clones of Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of Cabernet Franc. The original vineyard was planted in 1868, but the present one consists of nearly 90 acres. The 2012 reveals incredible complexity and density with notes of Christmas fruitcake, baking spices, licorice, crème de cassis and forest floor. Full-bodied with the vintage’s opulence and drama, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was fashioned from Clones 4 and 337. (RP) 97+" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, (93-96VN), 94DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon from MacDonald comes from the To Kalon Vineyard just outside of Oakville. It’s a classic 2014 possessing the purity, elegance, and sheer charm that’s the hallmark of this terrific vintage in the Valley. Crème de cassis, black raspberries, crushed flowers, and incense notes all develop with time in the glass, and while it starts out reticent and lightly textured, it gains incredible depth and length over the evening. This is Napa Valley at its most finesse-driven and elegant, and it’s going to drink beautifully for another two decades." (02/2018)
Starting Bid: $325.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Lewis Cellars "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS). Wine Spectator: "A silky entry is just the beginning of this elegant, rich and densely flavored effort. The tannins make their presence felt on the finish amid a wave of dark berry and spicy oak. *Highly Recommended* (JL)" (02/2016)
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Raymond "Reserve Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 92WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 40th Anniversary is a blend of 17 vineyards, with the dominant part from the Rutherford Estate. The final blend was 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot, Malbec and Petit Syrah. This was aged 19 months in about 30% new French oak and bottled unfiltered. A real beauty, and, for a top Napa Cabernet, an excellent price point. The wine has a dense bluish purple color, a sweet kiss of crème de cassis, licorice, camphor and subtle toast. Relatively opulent on the attack and midpalate, the wine is medium to full-bodied with silky tannin, adequate acidity and impressive purity and length. (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $27.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92VN, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the smallest crops to be included in the Ridge Monte Bello, only 32% of the production made it into the 2003, which is largely Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot. Out of barrel as well as post-bottling I liked this wine a lot, and it has changed very little from when I last tasted it in February, 2010. It boasts an inky/blue/purple color along with sweet black currant, blueberry, graphite, licorice and toasty vanillin aromas. The tannins are still noticeable in this full-bodied 2003, but seem reasonably well-integrated. Forget this wine for another decade and drink it over the following 30+ years. (RP) 94+" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996-1997 Talbot, St-Julien Vertical, including 1-bottle of 1996 Talbot, St-Julien (93DC, 90VN) and 2-bottles of 1997 Talbot, St-Julien. Of the 1996 Talbot, St-Julien,Decanter writes: "At this stage the colour is firmly in the rich claret zone - ruby red, not overly intense but full of life. The wine is very enjoyable and has that lovely St-Julien signature of rich black fruits floating over a bed of air, as the acidity in the Cabernet takes flight. This gives it a sense of poise and confidence, and again the signature mouthwatering finish. It's not going for intensity and punch, but for complexity and elegance without sacrificing fruit - there are dark, spicy notes in here. It sits with you, dealing out slowly but surely the idea of balance. (JA)" (12/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 1984 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (94JS). James Suckling: "Orange peel, stewed tea and slight metallic undertone. Full-bodied, with a tangy and funky undertone. Not completely clean, but wonderful." (03/2012)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac (95WS, 93DC, 93RP, 92ST). Wine Spectator: "Bubbling over with crushed berries, currants and spices, with tobacco notes. Beautiful. Full-bodied, with gorgeously velvety tannins and a long finish of pretty fruit. This is a racy yet elegant Lafite. Classy. *Collectibles* (JS)" (03/2005)
Starting Bid: $1,410.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac (96RP, 96VN, 95WS, 94DC, 94ST). Vinous: "The 1998 Lafite-Rothschild is served from double magnum directly from the château reserves, in fact with the man who made it sitting opposite me – Charles Chevalier. I must admit to being quite amazed how well this shows at 20-years of age, trouncing all the other First Growths except Haut-Brion. Lucid in colour, it has a vivid bouquet of pure blackberry, blueberry, vanilla and graphite, perhaps just a little uncharacteristically showy in style, but beautifully defined and intense. The palate is perfectly balanced with layers of ripe black fruit, perfectly pitched acidity and a silky smooth texture that renders this utterly seductive. It is almost too good for me to recommend cellaring longer. Whatever...it is a sublime Lafite-Rothschild that on this showing, may well challenge the supremacy of the 1996. Tasted at the Académie du Vin dinner in Bordeaux. (NM)" (07/2018)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Gargiulo "G Major 7 Study'' Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (90VN). Vinous: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon G Major 7 Study, Gargiulo's Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend, is supple, juicy and immediate, with plenty of dark cherry, chocolate, plum and mocha flavors. Drink this racy, voluptuous Oakville red over the next few years. (AG)" (12/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JS, 97ST, 96RP, 94WE). James Suckling: "Intense aromas of black pepper, blueberry, blackberry, tar, and black licorice. Full bodied, with amazing length and a toned muscular character. This lasts for minutes. Like a world class ballerina. It is held back and beautiful. Please leave this alone until 2015! " (04/2011)
Price: $480.00

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Antinori "Solaia" Toscana (97JS, 97WE, 96RP, 96ST, 95VN, 92DC). Wine Enthusiast: "Top-echelon, with a stunning purity and depth of layered fruit both sensuous and intellectually appealing. The dark cherry and plum core is oak-enveloped with rarely seen seamlessness, while the big but supple mouthfeel belies the wine’s profound power and structure. A classic effort marked by perfect fruit-to-acid balance, firm, refined tannins and a seemingly endless finish. *Editor's Choice* " (09/2001)

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Latour, Pauillac (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The palate is better than the nose, harmonious with Latour’s signature firmness. Great definition, more weight than Lafite with notes of blackberry, leather, tobacco and a touch of game leading to a tannic, natural, tobacco-infused finish. (NM)" (07/2008)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 97RP, (93-96ST), 94WS). James Suckling: "The aromas to this wine are very complex and brooding with blackcurrants, sage and spearmint. Souis bois and wet earth then turn to black fruits. Entrancing nose. This is full-bodied, yet tight and focused with compressed tannins and a long finish. Very intense volcanic sea salt to the wines. A much more subtle and mind-provoking style." (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $460.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 99JD, 97WE, 96VN, 95JS, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored with a mind-blowingly gorgeous nose that defies words: warm cassis, red roses, sandalwood, Indian spices, crushed rocks, menthol and iron ore with waft of lilacs and truffles. Medium to full-bodied with a rock-solid frame of super-ripe, grainy tannins and tons of freshness, it finishes incredibly long and remains incredibly provocative. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" Superiore Bolgheri (96RP, 96VN, 95W&S, 95WS, 94ST). Vinous: "The 2001 Ornellaia (magnum) offers up violets, black cherries, minerals and earthiness in a big, structured style. The wine’s sheer intensity and thrust are nothing short of remarkable. Ideally, readers will give the 2001 another few years in bottle; as it is truly majestic stuff but will require patience. (AG)" (12/2009)
Starting Bid: $208.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (100DC, 100JS, 100RP, 98VN, 95WS, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Monte Bello is a very special vintage for this great wine. Amazingly, it has yet to shut down, unfurling in the glass to reveal a bouquet of black raspberries, cassis, rich espresso roast, cigar wrapper, subtle black truffle and burning embers that has already integrated its 100% new oak remarkably completely. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, powerful and multidimensional, with a lavishly textural attack that segues into a stunningly layered, richly structured mid-palate endowed with incredible depth and concentration underpinned by succulent acids. The finish is long, vibrant and beautifully delineated. The 2013 is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot, and it attained 13.6% natural alcohol. Analytically, this ranks as one of the most tannic vintages

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Gargiulo "575 OVX" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Jeff and Valerie Gargiulo purchased their first Oakville property in Napa Valley in 1992 and bought the 575 OVX vineyard seven years later. The wine produced from 575 OVX is the winery's most limited release and typically less than 300 cases are produced per year. Winery tasting notes: "The nose reveals delicate aromas of rose petal and red berries, which on the palate become lush fruit flavors complemented by a unique exotic minerality. The last sip in your glass is the most treasured as it has only just begun to tell its story. The aging potential is 25 plus years."
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 Margaux, Margaux (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Approaching full maturity, this beautifully sweet Chateau Margaux has a dense plum/purple color and a huge, sweet nose of black currants intermixed with licorice, toast, underbrush, and flowers. Medium to full-bodied with supple tannin and a fleshy, juicy, very succulent and multi-layered mid-palate, this expansive, velvety wine has entered its plateau of maturity, where it should remain (assuming good storage) for at least another 10-15 years. A very delicious, seductive, and opulent Chateau Margaux to drink over the next two decades. (RP)" (01/2003)
Starting Bid: $675.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "1995 was a warmer vintage of lower yields from poor fruit set. The result is a relatively generous Georges de Latour Private reserve with lower acidity and a rich, opulent fruit profile. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 22 months in 100% new oak (55% French and 45% American), the 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve Georges de Latour has a medium to deep brick color with expressive dried blackberries, Black Forest cake and crème de cassis notes plus hints of cigar box, bouquet garni and coffee beans. Full-bodied (the alcohol is 13.9%), concentrated, firm and grainy, the palate delivers loads of relatively youthful fruit, with seamless freshness, finishing long and spicy. (LPB)" (05/2019)
Starting Bid: $278.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Adobe Road "Beckstoffer Georges III" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard opens with pronounced cassis, blackberries and mulberries scents with hints of bay leaves, damp soil, cedar chest and unsmoked cigars. Full-bodied and packed with powerful cassis and blackberry preserves layers, it has a solid line of grainy tannins, with the freshness in the background and a long earth and cedar-laced finish. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Arietta Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN, 92JS, 91RP). Vinous: "Ripe red cherry, plum, spice, tobacco and menthol are front and center in Arietta's 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. Racy and voluptuous, the 2012 captures the radiance of the vintage in its open-knit, inviting personality. All things considered, this is an especially showy vintage for the Cabernet Sauvignon. (AG)" (05/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Pavie, St-Emilion (96JD, 95RP, 95W&S, 93JG, 93WS, 92ST, 92VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The first vintage for Gérard Perse, the 1998 Pavie is drinking beautifully today and offers a layered, rich, yet seamless and elegant character. Blackcurrants, new leather, tobacco, chocolate, and dried flowers characteristics all emerge from this beauty and it has sweet tannins, a flamboyant, sexy texture, and no hard edges." (12/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99JD, 98RP, 96JS, 95VN, 95WE, 94WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "A big step up over the 2003, the 2005 Harlan Estate is still youthful and vibrant with incredible purity and elegance, as well as a huge, opulent, sweetly fruited, irresistible style. Blackberries, blueberries, violets, spring flowers, lead pencil and a remarkable minerality all emerge from this sensational wine that has sweet, present tannin, no hard edges, and a great, great finish. It’s certainly a joy to drink today but will keep for another two to three decades. " (12/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Dana Estates "Helms Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 98JS, 98RP, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Just about pure perfection, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Helms Vineyard comes from vines around the estate, just outside of Rutherford, which were planted in 1997. Sensational notes of crème de cassis, burning embers, bay leaf, and graphite all flow to a full-bodied 2015 that has a deep, layered, multi-dimensional texture that’s hard to describe. With building structure and a beautiful floral character that emerges with time in the glass, perfect balance, and a huge finish, this quintessential Napa Cabernet will benefit from a few years of bottle age and cruise for 3-4 decades. Bravo!" (01/2019)

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "My favorite in the lineup is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The O.G. which strikes a perfect balance between opulence and elegance. Offering an insane perfume of cassis, crushed violets, espresso roast, and smoke tobacco, this borderline perfect beauty has awesome purity of fruit, a huge, layered texture, ultra-fine tannin, and a great, great finish. It shows the power and richness of this incredible vineyard, yet never puts a fo

Bid on this bottle of 1949 Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc. Château Cantemerle is a winery in the Haut-Médoc appellation of the Bordeaux wine region of France, in the commune of Macau. The wine produced here was the final estate to be classified as one of eighteen Cinquièmes Crus (Fifth Growths) in the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. Its absence from the classification map featured at the 1855 Exposition Universelle de Paris created some controversy, even though it has been listed on all maps published after 1855. Some sources will include an asterisk next to Château Cantemerle listing in reference to this controversy. The estate has a long history in the Haut-Médoc with records detailing its existence since at least the 12th century and wine production since at least the 14th century. In the 19th century, the estate was hard hit by the phylloxera epidemic as well as grapevine attacks of downy mildew, after which production dropped nearly 50%. Towards the end of the 20th century,

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95VN, 93W&S, 92WS). Vinous: "Bright, dark red. Dark raspberry, toffee, cedar, anise, sweet butter, smoked meat, minerals and nutty oak on the complex, inviting nose. A suave, fine-grained, perfumed midweight with fresh acidity and underlying minerality energizing its cassis, spice and mineral flavors. This wonderfully silky, very long wine boasts a near-perfect integration of fruit, acidity and tannins. The finish leaves the mouth perfumed. Delicious now but built for a long life in bottle. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Gargiulo "575 OVX" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN). Vinous: "The 2013 OVX is a dense, opulent wine that captures the radiant, sensual personality that is so common in the wines from this part of Oakville. Mocha, bittersweet chocolate, dark spices, new leather and licorice are front and center. Ripe, racy and flamboyant, but with terrific balance, the 2013 drinks well now. This is an especially accessible 2013. (AG)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $255.00

Bid on this bottle of 1989 Montrose, St-Estèphe (100RP, 99JS, 98VN, 96WS, 94JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "For many years I have vehemently argued that the 1989 Montrose is a benchmark wine for the estate. Having tasted it several times over the last couple of months, I have never found a single occasion to alter that view. Tasted at the vertical in London, it continues to shine, having never lost any of its luster in recent years. It is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc that was picked from 11 to 28 September. Lucid in color, the aromatics do not hold back with vibrant blackberry, blueberry and black truffle, hints of sous-bois, all with sensational precision that few can match in this vintage (indeed, its precision lends it a veneer of modernity since "precision" is now more commonplace across Bordeaux). The palate is brilliantly balanced with filigree tannin. There is wonderful backbone here, extremely fresh and tensile, crystalline even with

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (100JS, 98JD, 98VN, 95DC, 95RP, 94CG, 94W&S). James Suckling: "Stunning depth, power, purity and elegance. The blackcurrants and plums are fresh and intense on the nose with blueberries and gently herbal notes, too. The palate has a keenly articulated array of vibrant tannins that hold long, fresh and pure. It invokes a sense of wonderment at the finish. So long and so pure. This blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc, is just at the start of a wonderful journey." (11/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 97RP, 97VN, 96CG, 96JD, 96WE, 95DC). Vinous: "The 2014 Insignia has turned out beautifully. Finely sculpted, nuanced and classic in structure, the 2014 is built on a core of energy and brightness. There is a level of purity and delineation in the flavors that is remarkable. Bright red cherry, lavender, rose petal and graphite add to the wine's sculpted personality. The 2014 is not an obvious or especially opulent Insignia, but rather a wine that makes its case with its impeccable balance. A closing flourish of bright, floral notes adds the final shades of nuance. (AG)" (03/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96RP, 93ST, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This appears to be one of the great efforts from Chateau Montelena, something I think I was correct about when I gave it an 'in the bottle' rating in 2006 of 95+. It is still an amazingly young wine that came from old vines on the famous St. George rootstock that did not require replanting because of the phylloxera epidemic that swept through Napa in the late 1980's and 1990's. Despite its lofty 14.4% alcohol (high by Montelena standards) and the overall flamboyance of the 2002 vintage, it needs another 4-6 years of cellaring. This young, classic Cabernet Sauvignon represents the quintessential traditional school of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It possesses an inky/blue/purple color in addition to a tight, but promising nose of black currants, crushed rocks, earth and spice. Rich, full-bodied, pure and brilliantly executed, with perfect harmony, thi

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Promise Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. Antonio Galloni writes: "Steve McPherson left behind a successful career as television executive to focus on his dream of making world-class wine. Promise emerges from a plot in Rich Frank’s Winston Hill vineyard in Rutherford. The wine spends about 30 months in new French oak barrels. There is no shortage of boutique wineries in Napa Valley, but Promise is the real deal. Steve McPherson and his team have succeeded in crafting one of the most unique Cabernet Sauvignons readers will come across."

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99RP, 98JD, 98VN, 96WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with gorgeous floral notes of red roses and lilacs over a core of black and red cherries, crushed black currants and baking spices plus hints of iron ore and dusty earth. The voluptuous, rounded, soft and sexy fruit slinks across the palate with incredible seamlessness and expression. Make no mistake, it is full-bodied and decadently powerful, but with a myriad of aromatic nuances, finishing long, layered and boldly perfumed. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (99JS, 98JD, 98RP, 98WE, 97VN, 94WS). James Suckling: "Wonderful floral aromas with perfumed roses plus hints of blackcurrants and spearmint. Full-bodied and so powerful and muscular but always showing the brightness and beauty of fruit. Winemakers say this reminds them of the 1978, their first year. It certainly has the structure — "those tannins" as they put it. Finish is so impressive with tar, iron and spices. " (01/2018)

Of the 2015 Del Dotto "Rutherford Estate Family Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Estate Family Reserve (a barrel sample) has a deep garnet-purple color and nose of crushed black cherries, blackberries and red and black currants with touches of dried herbs, damp soil and garrigue. Full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins supporting the generous black fruit and earthy layers, it has a lovely herbal lift to the long finish. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (95DC, 94RP, 94ST, 93JS, 92WE). Decanter: "Tight and unyielding at the moment, but with great pedigree, great texture and definition, this has lots of life to come. Poised and impactful, with juicy and mouthwatering fruit. Punches far above the weight of the vintage, one of those get-a-straw-in-the-glass wines: among the best of the tasting. Here tension rises, and your mouth waters on the finish.
