Bid on this bottle of 2015 Domaine Jean Grivot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru ((95-97RP), 95VN, 94BH, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has a detailed, precise bouquet, very pure with ripe dark cherries, kirsch, orange sorbet and subtle graphite aromas. It is one of the classiest that you will come across from this ancient vineyard this year. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannin that feel a little fuller and suppler than the premier cru Vosne-Romanées. Grippy in the mouth with an effervescent finish, this is a long-term Clos de Vougeot that will age effortlessly over 20-30 years. (NM)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $215.00

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru. Like many of Burgundy's families, the Mongeards have been in the region a long time, having arrived in Vosne-Romanée sometime in the 18th century. The family has likely been making wine for almost as long—records show a Mongeard as the vingeron for the famed Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in 1786—so it's probably safe to say they have Pinot Noir in their blood. These days the Mongeards own 33 hectares across 35 appellations, and the domaine is led by Vincent Mongeard, who started working with his father, Jean Mongeard, back in 1975.
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine d'Eugénie Clos Vougeot Grand Cru ((93-95ST), 94RP, 93BH, 93DC). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright red with ruby tones. Precise aromas of black cherry, licorice and herbs. Spicy and penetrating on the palate; a bit strict but offers a great combination of sweetness and minerality. At once classy and powerful, finishing with a lingering element of saline minerality and firm, noble tannins that saturate the entire mouth." (01/2013)
Starting Bid: $351.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Dominique Laurent Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru. Dominique Laurent is a small scale but high quality négociant (and former pâtissier) based in Nuits-St-Georges. His first production of wine was in 1988. The portfolio is based on very small parcels of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines in dozens of appellations across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Quantities of individual wines are often tiny, with some wines made in just a single barrique which bestows just 300 bottles.
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Lucien Le Moine Clos Vougeot Grand Cru ((91-94BH), (91-93RP), 93VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " There is excellent volume and richness to the opulently-textured middle weight plus flavors that possess good verve on the relatively detailed and beautifully long finish that displays a hint of youthful austerity. This is also very firmly structured and while it's not quite as complex as the Clos de la Roche I very much like the impeccable balance." (04/2016)
Starting Bid: $365.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine Faiveley Clos Vougeot Grand Cru ((92-95BH), (89-92ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Subtle oak spice and ripe plum and black raspberry aromas introduce rich, round and chiseled, muscular and very full-bodied sappy flavors that culminate in a punchy, robust and ultra powerful finish. This is a huge, indeed massive but not heavy or excessively rich wine that maintains a wonderful sense of balance. *Don't Miss*" (01/2005)
