Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2016 The Third Twin (Sine Qua Non) "Nuestra Señora del Tercer Gemelo" Central Coast Red Blend (OWC - 99RP, 98JD, 95VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "'I had never really liked Mourvedre,' Manfred mentioned during our tasting. 'But the more I worked with it, the more I liked it. There is some synchronicity that takes place when you blend it.' Apart from being a Mourvedre-dominant blend, the other unusual thing about this wine is that this is only the second wine to be 100% from The Third Twin Vineyard--a vineyard in Los Alamos purchased by Manfred and Elaine in 2000. Not to be confused with some new Central Coast plantings of what turned out to be Graciano, Manfred explained that this is Mourvedre Clone 'S,' sourced from John Alban. Composed of 53% Mourvedre, 16% Syrah, 14% 14% Grenache, 9% Petit Sirah, 6% Graciano and 2% Viognier, 42% of whole clusters were used and the rest was destemmed. It spent around 31 months in French oak barrels, 4

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 96RP, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "From a site on Red Mountain, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine is a deeper, richer, more mineral-laced red and has a huge nose of dark chocolate, smoked earth, graphite, black licorice, and black fruits. It’s full-bodied, has tons of concentration and depth, as well as building tannins, yet it still stays seamless and elegant on the palate, with an incredible texture. It’s another full-bore, powerful, brilliant wine from this team that’s going to benefit from short term cellaring and cruise for two decades. 98+" (04/2019)
Starting Bid: $115.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (OWC - 100JS, 100RP, 100VN, 99JD, 97DC, 96WE, 96WS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2016 Cos d’Estournel was a bona fide showstopper out of barrel, the best that I had encountered in over 20 years of visiting the estate during en primeur, so my expectations were piled high when I returned to find out how it performs in bottle. Deep, almost opaque in color, it sports a very intense but broody bouquet with fathomless deep black fruit tinged with blueberry and violet. The aromas almost seem to envelop the senses. The palate is medium-bodied with ultra-fine tannin that I have never witnessed in any other vintage of Cos d’Estournel. There is a beguiling symmetry to this Saint-Estèphe, as well as unerring mineralité. The persistent, tobacco-tinged finish can be felt 60 second after the wine has departed. This is a monumental, benchmark Cos d’Estournel that will give not years but decades of pleasure, though I suspect it will close d

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Pott and Daughters Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon . Vinous: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a very pretty entry-level wine from Aaron Pott. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherry, cedar and mint are laced together in this very enticing, gracious, mid-weight Cabernet. Drink it over the next handful of years. (AG)" (12/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Sebastiani "Cherryblock" Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium to deep ruby, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Cherryblock Vineyard is intensely scented of cassis, baked black plum, blueberry coulis and red cherry preserves with touches of allspice, incense, cedar, dried leaves and warm earth plus a streak of graphite. The palate is medium to full-bodied with still youthfully wound fruit, a firm, grainy texture and juicy freshness to lift the long finish. (EB) 94+" (12/2019)
Starting Bid: $105.01

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Outpost "True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 99JD, 96VN, 95JS, 94DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from the nine-acre True Vineyard up on Howell Mountain and produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard strides confidently out of the glass with incredible poise and pedigree: warm cassis, blackcurrant cordial, baker’s chocolate, licorice and truffles commingled with hints of underbrush, violets, woodsmoke and stewed plums plus a waft of fragrant earth. Full-bodied, concentrated and built like a brick house, it has wonderfully firm, ripe, grainy tannins with a fantastic line of seamless freshness and a powerful, multilayered expression of place coming through on the epically long finish. A decadent beauty right now, this is going to be even more mind-blowing in 15 to 20+ years, and it should go on for 40 or more. (LPB)" (07/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (97JS, 97RP, 97VN, 97WS, 96DC, 95JD, 95WE). Vinous: "The 2016 Lynch-Bages delivers on its promise from barrel with an intense blackberry, cedar and mineral-driven bouquet that actually reminds me of Lafite-Rothschild. A faint dark chocolate scent makes a brief appearance. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin, pure black fruit and a velvety texture. There is wonderful structure and focus on the finish, followed by a persistent saline aftertaste. This is an outstanding Lynch-Bages, easily the best since the twin titans of 1989 and 1990. (NM)" (01/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Rätsel 16" California Syrah (100JD, 99RP, 98VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Syrah Rastel 16 showed incredibly from barrel and it certainly doesn’t disappoint from bottle. Pure perfection in Syrah, this beauty boasts a deep purple hue as well as a stacked bouquet of ripe blackberries, cured meats, scorched earth, white pepper, white chocolate, and bacon fat. Deep, full-bodied, and massively concentrated, it builds incrementally on the palate, with ultra-fine tannins, perfect balance, and a finish that won’t quit. I struggle to think of another wine that delivers this level of intensity without any sensation of weight or heaviness. The 2016s, in general, are relatively approachable, but nevertheless, do your best to hide bottles for 3-4 years." (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Syrah (95VN, 94JG, 93RP, 92JD). Vinous: "The 2016 Syrah Horseshoe Vineyard is incredibly elegant and finessed. Aging in 25HL cask give the Syrah striking translucence and energy, with less bombastic fruit than in the past, and far greater nuance. Crushed red berry fruit, rose petal, mint and sage are all lifted by the 100% whole clusters, while firm yet well-integrated tannins give energy and cut. I can't wait to see how the 2016 ages. The 2016 spent 28 months in oak. (AG)" (10/2019)

Of the 2016 Bond "Melbury" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Moving to the single vineyard releases, the 2016 Melbury is pure perfection in a glass and is the finest vintage of this cuvée I’ve tasted. Awesome notes of cassis, blackcurrants, toasted bread, white flowers, and spice give way to an ethereal, seamless, yet opulent wine that has that rare mix of power and elegance possessed by all truly great wines. Full-bodied, concentrated, and with building yet perfectly ripe ta

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Eisele Vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100DC, 100RP, 99JS, 99VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color. Its nose begins a little reserved, slowly revealing a quiet intensity of freshly crushed blackberries, chocolate-covered cherries, cassis and aniseed with compelling nuances of black tea, cigar box, truffles and charcuterie, plus, with coaxing, gentle wafts of red roses and crushed rocks emerge. The medium to full-bodied palate is simply arresting, offering a myriad floral and earth sparks amidst a black fruit core and with seamless, firm, very fine-grained tannins. Well-knit freshness brings forth layer after layer of delicate nuances on the very long, mineral-laced finish. The team at Eisele, led by Frédéric Engerer (of Chateau Latour) and beautifully orchestrated by winemaker Hélène Mingot, have knocked it out of the park this vintage with this singular expression that both embrac

Thrilling notes of smoked red cherries, earth, forest floor, and graphite all give way to a medium-bodied, vibrant, racy wine that has flawless balance, crunchy, vibrant fruit, notable tannins, and a great finish. This is another awesome wine that will benefit from a year or two of bottle age and keep for a decade." (06/2019)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A members-only bottling composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, the nose of the 2016 Palengat Vineyard is filled with robust black and dark red fruit along with subtle floral aromas and savory spices. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is rich and hearty on the palate, with a stream of minerality that merges into a strict tannic edge. It concludes with an abundance of oak on the long finish. Of the 2016 Occidental "Running Fence-Cuvee Catherine" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Vinous writes: "A new wine in this range, the 2016 Pinot Noir Running Fence Vineyard Cuvée Catherine is sourced from Steve Kistler's Bodega Ridge estate, where the Occidental winery is located. Blood orange, red raspberry, mint, dried flowers and star anise are all laced together in this very pretty, expressive Pinot Noir. The 2016 is translucent and wonderfully energetic at the outset, but then gains volume with time in the glass. It is another gorgeous and highly nuanced wine in the range. (AG)" (01/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 98VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Harlan Estate comes charging out of the glass, brandishing bold, opulent blackberry pie, warm cassis and blueberry preserves notes with hints of cigar box, Indian spices, crushed rocks and forest floor plus fragrant accents of lavender and black tea. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, with a solid line of super ripe, grainy tannins and oodles of freshness supporting the layer upon layer of savory and earth-inspired notions, finishing on a lingering mineral note. Impressively structured, incredibly nuanced and possessing all this latent tension, this brazen beauty is set to live for a good 60 years and possibly more! (LPB)" (09/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Deux Grenouilles" White Blend (97JD, 94RP, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Deux Grenouilles is another brilliant white from this estate. Based on 36% Roussanne, 29% Chardonnay, 23% Viognier, and the balance Petite Manseng and Muscat, brought up 48% new French oak (the balance is in neutral oak and concrete eggs). This rich, full-bodied, incredibly elegant white offers up a smorgasbord of buttered citrus, orange blossom, flower oil, and honeyed minerality. Despite being a full-bodied, powerful wine, it stays fresh and graceful, with terrific freshness and acidity. It needs a decant if drinking any time soon and should keep for a decade or more." Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN, 97JD, 96RP, 96W&S, 96WS, 95JS). Vinous: "One of the highlights in this tasting, the 2016 Monte Bello has turned out just as beautifully as I hoped it would. Soaring aromatics, bright acids and mid-weight structure give the 2016 a super-classic feel. Clearly, the 2016 is very primary today, with plenty of bright red and purplish berry fruit. More than that, though, the 2016 pulses with energy and simply exceptional balance. Don't miss it! (AG)" (10/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Dirt Vernacular" California Grenache (100JD, 98RP, 98VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the finest Grenaches to ever pass my lips is the 2016 Grenache Dirt Vernacular and it’s 78% Grenache, 11.5% Mourvèdre, 7% Touriga Nacional, and the rest Petite Sirah. Reminding me of an old vine Grenache cuvée from the Maurel brothers in Châteauneuf du Pape, it boasts a huge nose of black raspberries, kirsch liqueur, graphite, ground herbs, and pepper. This is one of those wines that offers incredible intensity and depth, yet still just glides over the palate with no sense of heaviness whatsoever. Full-bodied, rich, layered, and pure, it’s a riveting example of Grenache that could come from nowhere else. Drink it any time over the coming 15+ years." (10/2018)

Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with tantalizing notions of violets, lavender, Black Forest cake, mulberries, tobacco leaf and fragrant earth with a core of warm cassis, kirsch, Chinese five spice, rose hip tea and cedar chest. The palate is full-bodied and super concentrated yet possesses great energy with vibrant red and black fruits and loads of mineral accents, framed by very ripe, super fine-grained tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing very long with the most incredible perfume. Hedonistically, undeniably and deliciously perfect. (LPB)" (10/2018)
