Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine any way you look at it, the 2012 Grenache Rattrapante comes all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and spent 33 months in 27% new French oak. My notes start - and end - with “Wow.” Giving up tons of black raspberries, peppery herbs, licorice, dried flowers and cured meats, it’s a massively concentrated, rich and layered Grenache that somehow manages to stay graceful, lively and fresh on the palate. There are roughly 800 cases of this elixir and any Grenache lover should do their best to latch onto a bottle (or two). It’s also worth noting that this cuvee saw 26% whole clusters, which is a small change from past vintages. (JD)" (08/2016)
Starting Bid: $795.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 96JS, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon emerges from another first-growth vineyard that was acquired by Andy Beckstoffer in 1993, and planted with multiple clones of Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of Cabernet Franc. The original vineyard was planted in 1868, but the present one consists of nearly 90 acres. The 2012 reveals incredible complexity and density with notes of Christmas fruitcake, baking spices, licorice, crème de cassis and forest floor. Full-bodied with the vintage’s opulence and drama, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was fashioned from Clones 4 and 337. (RP) 97+" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Gargiulo "Money Road Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Gargiulo Vineyards is a small family-owned winery located in the Oakville sub-region of California’s Napa Valley. The family dedicates themselves to smaller case productions of premium wines from their two best vineyards, Money Road Ranch and the 575 OVX, both located in Oakville. Opened since January 2007, the tasting room sits on a small knoll overlooking the vineyard for some of California’s most expensive wine, Screaming Eagle. The winery was founded by longtime farmer Jeff Gargiulo who works with his wife, daughter, and son in law.
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "En Cerise" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (97RP, 96WS, 94VN, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Always coming from a small 2.5-acre block inside the En Cerise vineyard, the 2012 Syrah en Cerise is a fabulously complex, seamless and elegant Syrah that exhibits notes of dried cherries, currants, dried herbs, violets and cured meats. These all flow to a full-bodied, nicely concentrated Syrah that shows the more structured, savory side to the vintage. Slightly less flamboyant and decadent from bottle than barrel, I think it will reward 3-4 years of cellaring, and keep for two decades. As I've said numerous times, Christophe Baron and assistant winemaker Elizabeth Bourcier produce some of the most singular and impressive wines out there. (JD)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Domaine Georges Roumier Chambolle-Musigny ((90-92RP), 92WS, 91JG, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny Village has one of those 'stalking' bouquets that creep up on you, unfurling with its earthy red berry fruit mingling with forest floor and briary. The palate is very well balanced with crisp tannins, the fruit erring towards dark berries towards the finish that is very precise. This is devilishly delicious. (NM)" (12/2013)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 97RP, (93-96ST), 94WS). James Suckling: "The aromas to this wine are very complex and brooding with blackcurrants, sage and spearmint. Souis bois and wet earth then turn to black fruits. Entrancing nose. This is full-bodied, yet tight and focused with compressed tannins and a long finish. Very intense volcanic sea salt to the wines. A much more subtle and mind-provoking style." (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $460.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Reynvaan "The Contender" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 94WE, 94WS, 92VN, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A classic Rocks Syrah, the 2012 Syrah The Contender is a deep, rich, full-bodied beauty that boasts terrific notes of ripe plums, blackberries, truffle and wild herbs. Incorporating 3% Marsanne (which also give the texture some oomph), it has a big, layered, seamless texture, no hard edges and sweet tannin. Drink it anytime over the coming 10-15 years. (JD)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $186.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay (95RP, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The full-bodied 2012 Chardonnay reveals more buttery popcorn and honeysuckle characteristics, but there is no doubting the minerality, great fruit, super-freshness and 40+-second finish. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Il Poggione "Vigna Paganelli" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (97JS, 95DC, 95RP, 95WE, 95WS, 93VN). James Suckling: "Rather sweet due to the super ripe vintage. But there's also great subtlety, enormous depth and a ton of tannin behind the opulence. The super long finish is incredibly focused. " (12/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Gargiulo "575 OVX" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Jeff and Valerie Gargiulo purchased their first Oakville property in Napa Valley in 1992 and bought the 575 OVX vineyard seven years later. The wine produced from 575 OVX is the winery's most limited release and typically less than 300 cases are produced per year. Winery tasting notes: "The nose reveals delicate aromas of rose petal and red berries, which on the palate become lush fruit flavors complemented by a unique exotic minerality. The last sip in your glass is the most treasured as it has only just begun to tell its story. The aging potential is 25 plus years."
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "En Chamberlin" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 95WE, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dark ruby, opaque 2012 Syrah en Chamberlin Vineyard is a classic example of this vineyard. Gamy, complex and nuanced, with lots of olive tapenade, ground herbs, charcoal and wood smoke, as well as a beautiful core of dark fruit, it has full-bodied richness, building tannin, and a light, elegant texture. One of the more approachable 2012s from Christoph, it still doesn't lack for tannic grip. It offers plenty of pleasure now, but should have 15 years or more of longevity. (JD)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Arietta Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN, 92JS, 91RP). Vinous: "Ripe red cherry, plum, spice, tobacco and menthol are front and center in Arietta's 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. Racy and voluptuous, the 2012 captures the radiance of the vintage in its open-knit, inviting personality. All things considered, this is an especially showy vintage for the Cabernet Sauvignon. (AG)" (05/2017)
Starting Bid: $440.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Hundred Acre "Few and Far Between" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Woodbridge’s vineyard tucked away near the famous Eisele Vineyard, now owned by Château Latour, produces the wine known as the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between Vineyard. This is another luxurious, exceptionally concentrated and loaded wine with great intensity, a multi-dimensional mouthfeel, unbelievable amounts of blackberry, cassis and blueberry fruit, crushed rock minerality, and a floral note. It is easily the most backward of the five Cabernet Sauvignons I tasted from Woodbridge in 2012. The wine is super-intense, displays plenty of tannin, but is silky and well-integrated. This wine needs at least 4-5 years of cellaring, and should keep for 30-50 years, as it promises to be one of the modern-day legends from Napa. (RP)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $620.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Morlet "Morlet Estate" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94DC, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From his nearly six acres of Cabernet Sauvignon planted with Margaux cuttings near Vineyard 29 and Colgin’s Tychson Hill vineyards, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Morlet Estate (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) displays the vintage’s open, opulent, plush personality. With exceptional intensity, plenty of crème de cassis, vanillin, floral and lead pencil notes, this full-bodied 2012 offers low acidity as well as impressive flavors. There are 275 cases of this gorgeous red. It should drink well for 15-20 years. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 96VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Also amazing, the 2012 Chardonnay The Judge offers impressive aromas of tangerines, orange marmalade, wet rocks, quince, spring flowers and honeysuckle. Impressively full-bodied and majestic with terrific acidity, it is a tour de force in Chardonnay. Furthermore, it is about as 'natural' as possible. Thankfully, Kongsgaard is not one to deal in the quintessential B.S. that now seems so prevalent. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $870.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Poggio al Tesoro "W - Dedicato a Walter" Cabernet Franc Bolgheri Superiore (93RP, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Here is another wine that is now upgraded to Bolgheri Superiore status from IGT Toscana. The 2012 Bolgheri Superiore Dedicato A Walter (100% Cabernet Franc) shows bold varietal characteristics with dark fruit, spice, coffee bean, rosemary oil and balsam herb. All those aromas are rolled together into a great tapestry of luscious intensity. (ML)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $149.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Promise Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. Antonio Galloni writes: "Steve McPherson left behind a successful career as television executive to focus on his dream of making world-class wine. Promise emerges from a plot in Rich Frank’s Winston Hill vineyard in Rutherford. The wine spends about 30 months in new French oak barrels. There is no shortage of boutique wineries in Napa Valley, but Promise is the real deal. Steve McPherson and his team have succeeded in crafting one of the most unique Cabernet Sauvignons readers will come across."
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (99RP, 94VN, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Syrah James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock is the star of the show in 2012. Borderline perfection, it has straight up awesome notes of black and blue fruits, pepper, crushed violets and searing chalky minerality that shows on both the nose and palate. Full-bodied, seamless and elegant, it's a stacked, concentrated, layered Syrah that never puts a foot wrong. (JD)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Thierry & Pascale Matrot Maranges. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the nose is slightly more elegant if compositionally similar to that of the Bourgogne. There is an attractive mouth feel to the agreeably textured and rich medium weight flavors that also display some rusticity yet overall this is really very good for what it is. Worth considering as an all-around house red. *Top Value*" (04/2014)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Gargiulo "G Major 7 Study'' Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Winery notes: "G Major 7 Study Cabernet Sauvignon is blended from selected fruit off the 575 ovx vineyard and is named after a classic jazz guitar chord. Like its namesake, it is composed of four of the five classic Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot and Merlot. G Major 7 is highly nuanced and provides a profound sense of elegance and complexity, changing with every swirl and sip. The nose reflects subtle floral notes, which develop into deep, crushed berry and earth flavors on the palate. Its tannins are refined and seamlessly integrated. The aging potential is 25 plus years."
Starting Bid: $195.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Touché - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (100RP, 98VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lastly, the utterly perfect 2012 Syrah Touche reminds me of a great vintage of Guigal’s Cote Rotie La Landonne. A blend of 93% Syrah, 5% Petite Sirah and 2% Viognier, all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, it spent 40 months in 78% new French oak. Deep, concentrated, full-bodied and layered, with a multidimensional texture and to-die-for notes of camphor, cured meats, violets, smoke and assorted dark fruits, this beauty has fine, perfectly ripe tannin and blockbuster length. Give it 3-4 years and drink over the following two decades. (JD)" (08/2016)
Starting Bid: $930.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Alion (Vega Sicilia) Ribera del Duero (95RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "2012 has to be one of the best recent vintages of Alión. This 2012 Alión is pure Tempranillo from vineyards averaging 25 to 30 years of age, harvested at the end of September and matured for 14 months in new French oak barrels. The nose is much more elegant than the Pintia from Toro (I tasted them together), still very fresh and primary but with a special brightness of fruit, shiny cherries, raspberries, something effervescent, open and somehow exuberant. The palate is quite round, much more polished, with some notes of dark chocolate, some subtle volatility, elegant, fresh and long. It has the balance and stuffing to develop nicely in bottle. Superb balance, Ribera character, clean, modern classic. 280,000 bottles were produced. (LG)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Stein" Central Coast Grenache (97RP, (95-97VN)). Vinous: "The 2012 Grenache Stein is incredibly refined, silky and pure, with bright red and blue-hued fruits. Today, the flavors are primary, so readers will have to be patient get the full breadth of aromas, flavors and textures. The Stein is a decidedly feminine, gracious Grenache that impresses for its textural beauty and nuance. I imagine it will provide a long and broad drinking window of pure pleasure over the next 15-20 years. This is an absolutely gorgeous wine from Sine Qua Non. The final blend is 76% Grenache, 16% Syrah and 8% Mourvèdre; 53% from Eleven Confessions, 29% from Cumulus, 9% The Third Twin and 9% Bien Nacido. The 2012 was done with 29% whole clusters and will spend around 22 months in French oak (14%) prior to its scheduled bottling this summer. (AG)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $320.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 99JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard, which will probably be released in a few months, displays great minerality, notes of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, poached pear, and white flowers as well as a touch of quince. A wine of great intensity, yet incredibly ethereal elegance, this light greenish gold-colored wine is full-bodied, stunningly rich, and altogether remarkable. When you consider that they use 100% new French oak and 100% heavy toast for both their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, it is remarkable how little oak appears in these wines. This wine should age well for 10-15 years, as most of the Marcassin Estate Chardonnays have done to date. (RP)" (03/2016)
Starting Bid: $565.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95DC, 93WE, 93WS, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Cask 23 reveals more oak on the nose, but is a much deeper, richer, fuller wine than the S.L.V. Dense ruby/purple to the rim, beautiful blackberry and cassis fruit, cedar wood, toast and earth jump from the glass. Full-bodied and layered, but with nothing out of balance, this is probably the strongest Cask 23 since the glory years of the mid-80s. Look for this wine to drink well young, yet age effortlessly for 25 years. (RP)" (12/2015)
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (93WE, 92RP). Wine Enthusiast: "Named after the famed vineyard’s south-facing slopes, this vintage is expertly crafted, with aromas of ripe red cherry, sandalwood, black pepper, graphite, purple flowers and damp pine needles. It’s complex, with dark red fruit and tickling cardamom spice set against fine-grained tannins. Quite precise and tight now, the violet and rose petal elements will expand beautifully with time, so drink 2019–2025. *Cellar Selection* (MK)" (04/2015)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Littorai "B.A. Thieriot Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (95VN, 92ST). Vinous: "The 2012 Chardonnay Thieriot Vineyard is going to need a few years to become fully expressive, but it is striking, even today. Tight, focused and crystalline in its purity, the Thieriot presents a bright profile laced with white flowers, grapefruit and lemon peel, along with a racy personality that is compelling. The 2012 should start to strut its stuff in another few years, even though its pedigree is both ample and evident today. A recent bottle of the 2010 was magnificent and still on the young side. (AG)" (01/2015)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Reynvaan "The Unnamed - In The Rocks Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (95RP, 92WE, 92WS, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another pure, elegant and layered release from Matt Reynvaan, the 2012 The Unnamed Syrah exhibits subtle dark berry fruit, truffle, olive, lavender and smoked meat aromas and flavors in full-bodied, balanced, layered and seamless package. It picks up more classic violet and peppery herb notes with air and fills in beautifully on the mid-palate; nevertheless, it’s the least expressive at the moment aromatically, so give it a few years in the cellar. (JD) 95+" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97JD, 97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard, which comes primarily from the Calera clone (although I suspect there are a few mystery clones in their plantings), always seems to remind me of a grand cru from Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, particularly Morey-St.-Denis. Dense ruby/plum, its sweet nose of strawberries, black cherry liqueur, fresh porcini mushrooms and forest floor is followed by a dark, full-bodied, rich and concentrated wine that is supple, dramatic, and even flamboyant. (RP)" (03/2016)
Starting Bid: $626.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Alban "Estate" Edna Valley Grenache (98RP, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Grenache cuvées made in California, the 2012 Grenache's inky ruby/purple color is followed by classic concentrated Grenache notes of black fruits, roasted herbs, licorice and crushed flowers. Full-bodied, incredibly pure, layered and balanced, I wish every reader (and every winemaker who's releasing these barely colored, mid-weight examples of Grenache) could taste this beauty. (JD)" (08/2016)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93RP, 92VN, 92WS, 91ST, 90CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is a beautiful wine that comes from four vineyards, Gap’s Crown, Griffin’s Lair, Terra de Promissio and Walala. It has a deep ruby/semi-opaque color that is followed by a youthful, rich and concentrated wine offering classic dark cherries, plum, licorice, ground herbs and baking-spice-driven aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, layered and structured, it opens up beautifully with air, has seamlessly integrated fruit, tannin and alcohol, and stays classy and nicely focused on the finish. It can be enjoyed now with a decant, but will be better in another year, and have over a decade of longevity. (JD)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Jean Grivot Vosne-Romanée ((88-90RP), 90VN). Vinous: "Medium red. Ripe aromas of musky redcurrant, red raspberry and dried flowers. Sweet, fully ripe and highly concentrated, offering terrific drinkability now but also the sappy mineral energy to evolve gracefully in the bottle. Quite palate-staining for village wine, finishing with pungent lingering saline minerality. (ST)" (03/2015)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99JD, 98JS, 98RP, 98VN, 95WE). Jeb Dunnuck: "Checking in as a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc that hit 14.3% alcohol, the 2012 Dominus is a sensational wine that certainly ranks with the all-time greats of this cuvée and is reminiscent of the 1991. Ripe, flamboyant, and incredibly sexy, it nevertheless shows the classic style of this estate, has nothing out of place and just glides across the palate. Blackcurrants, tobacco leaf, cedar box, new leather, and an almost garrigue-like character all emerge from this full-bodied, silky, seamless effort that has fine tannin, perfectly integrated acidity, tannins, alcohol, and a great, great finish. Drink it any time over the coming 2-3 decades. It's a tour de force in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and one of the greats. 99+" (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Bibi Graetz "Testamatta" Rosso Toscana (95JS, 94WS). James Suckling: "A silky and structured red with tiles, dark berries and lightly shaved chocolate. Full body, firm tannins and a persistent finish. Shows zest and liveliness. " (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Domaine Perrot-Minot Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes ((94-96RP), (94-96VN), 95BH, 94ST, 94WS). Vinous: "A dark, inward wine, the 2012 Mayozères-Chambertin is endowed with stunning depth. Black fruit, chocolate, new leather, dark spices and violets saturate the palate. The 2012 is powerful and dense to the core, although the inclusion of 50% whole clusters does add an element of lift on the finish. The 2012 possesses substantial intensity and stuffing, all informed by decidedly baritone-inflected overtones. (AG) 94-96+" (01/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Tinto Negro "1955 Vineyard" Malbec Mendoza (92WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Bold blackberry and cassis aromas are inviting, dense and come with notes of moss and earth. The wine is wavy, smooth and rich in the mouth, with flavors of wild berry, cassis, chocolate and creamy oak. Long and full, the finish conveys structure and a sense of class. (MS)" (05/2014)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Hosanna, Pomerol (97JD, 97RP, 94VN, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Close to perfection, this extraordinary blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc seems to have hit all the high notes in 2012. Inky ruby/purple with stunning concentration, a multidimensional mouthfeel, skyscraper-like texture and fabulous purity of blue, red and black fruits, this is a tour de force from this estate owned by Christian Moueix. The potential complexity and sheer compelling quality of Hosanna is amazing. Aromatically, this may be the most profound wine of the vintage. Drink it over the next 15-20 years. (RP)" (04/2015)
Starting Bid: $490.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Calera "Selleck" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir (98RP, 96VN, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deeper and richer than the Jensen, the blockbuster-style 2012 Pinot Noir Selleck Vineyard comes from vines planted in 1975 and wasn't harvested until October 4. A big, rich, layered Pinot Noir that offers tight, reserved notes of blackcurrants, truffle, crushed rocks, forest floor and sassafras, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, beautiful acidity and building, fine tannin that come through on the awesome finish. With air, it turns more and more mineral-laced and earthy, showing even a touch of gaminess. This beauty has terrific depth and richness without ever being over the top. Bravo to Josh Jenson for this smokin' effort! These latest 2013s from Josh Jenson were superb across the board and at the top-end were some of the most impressive Pinot Noirs I was able to taste for this report. (JD)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $235.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A much bigger, richer Pinot Noir, the 2012 Pinot Noir Ten is a cellar selection chosen with the focus on structure and richness. Brought up in 65% new French oak, it has sensational purity and depth in its sweet black raspberry, crushed violets, spice and subtle oak aromas and flavors. These all carry over to the palate where the wine is full-bodied, concentrated and textured, with notable tannic grip. It's another wine from this estate that deliver tons of flavor authority while never seeming heavy, cumbersome or over the top. I wish more estates would make wine in this style. I was thrilled with these latest releases from Seasmoke and when the region is chasing Burgundian-like ripeness and acid profiles, they continue to show it is possible to make rich, full-bodied and concentrated Pinot Noirs from the Sta. Rita Hills that are a joy to drink. (JD)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Medium to full-bodied, finely structured and with great freshness and approachability, it gives a wonderful core of muscular fruit and a long, mineral-laced finish. (LPB)" (12/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection has a dense blackish/purple color and creamy, sweet crème de cassis fruit, blackberries, a touch of graphite and vanilla, This exuberant, boisterous, in-your-face style of Cabernet Sauvignon is clearly a fruit bomb, so be warned. Full-bodied and opulent with stunning concentration and richness, the wine has no hard edges and is much in the Caymus style of terrific fruit intensity (most of it black and blue), voluptuous texture, and a stunning finish with plenty of glycerin, wood and spice. The alcohol on the label is listed at 14.8%, which seems about accurate. I have Caymus Special Selection in my cellar back to some of the historic wines made by Chuck Wagner’s father in the early 1970s, and while the style’s gotten more precocious and consumer-friendly, these wines, even the more latter-day styles, have

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Morlet "Passionnément" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 95VN, 94RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "During my tasting with Luc, I was also able to taste a few older vintages. The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Passionnement is showing beautifully and has the open, sexy, seamless style of the vintage front and center. Blueberries, graphite, loads of spice, and some forest floor notes give way to a full-bodied, elegant and seamless 2012 that’s on the early edge of its drink window." (06/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE, 94RP, 93WS, 92DC). Wine Enthusiast: "From the vineyard that helped propel the appellation’s reputation into the stratosphere, this wine delivers both in terms of its historical significance, but also in present-day refinement and complexity. A flinty, earthy layer of black truffle and coffee open the aromatic profile of the wine before offering bold, brawny flavors of leather and black currant. The oak is well integrated and the tannins sizable yet behaved. This is a beautiful wine. *Editors’ Choice* (VB)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Linne Calodo "Sticks & Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (95RP, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Sticks and Stones is a smoking blend of 63% Grenache, 19% Mourvedre and 18% Syrah. Cherry blossom, cassis, wild flowers and licorice can all be found in this full-bodied, supple and elegant wine. It has no hard edges, but thrilling purity and a sexy style that keeps you coming back to the glass. Bottles wouldn't last long at my house, but this will evolve gracefully on its balance and purity.
