Vinous: "The 2010 Chambertin Clos–de-Bèze is a bit more vibrant and detailed than the Chambertin. Silky tannins convey an impression of energy and refinement. Texturally, the Bèze comes across as weightless, pure and totally elegant with no shortage of energy, but perhaps just a little less density than is characteristic. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Flirting with perfection, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard RBS from clone 337 was aged in new Darnajou barrels (80%) and the rest in new Taransaud barrels. There were 410 cases produced, which is several hundred cases less than the production in 2012. An unbelievable red wine, it boasts an inky/purple color as well as abundant notes of charcoal, white chocolate, toast, new saddle leather, blueberries, blackberries, creme de cassis and licorice. As the wine sits in the glass, some chocolaty, smoky elements also emerge. This virtually perfect Cabernet Sauvignon has been flawlessly made and should age effortlessly for 25-30+ years. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 is a more structured, masculine and steely version of the utterly compelling 2009. Tasting like black raspberry confiture with subtle notes of graphite and crushed chalk along with enormous floral notes, the wine displays a slightly smoky character but a voluptuous attack, mid-palate and finish. It is full-bodied and massively endowed, with every component perfectly etched in this extraordinary wine, which should be drinkable after 7-8 years of bottle age and last for a half-century or more. This is brilliant stuff. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Andrea Cortonesi's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino struts its stuff from the very start. This is a Brunello of profound beauty, intensity and complexity. At this young stage in the wine's life you get a generous dose of primary fruit focused on cherry and blackberry. You also get so-called secondary aromas from the oak that recall spice, cinnamon and dark smoke. These lead to the promise of beautiful tertiary aromas as the wine continues its slow evolution over the course of time. This wine is like a long-distance runner who explodes from the starting line and keeps a steady pace throughout the race. Dark penetration and rich aromas wrap generously over the palate. Vinous: "There's not much to say about Randy Dunn's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain that I haven't already said or written. A classic Howell Mountain Cabernet, the 2010 hits the palate with scents of graphite, pencil shavings, inky blue/purplish fruit, sage and spices, all backed up with swaths of broad yet impeccably balanced tannins. What a fascinating contrast it is to taste this next to David Abreu's Thorevilos as we round out the evening. The Dunn is powerful, structured and incisive, with magnificent expression of site and fabulous overall balance. Dunn’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain will go down as one of the great wines of this vintage. Readers have to be patient, but there is no question the 2010 is a real stunner. Deeper, richer and more concentrated than the Marie Beurrier, it reveals an unusually inky ruby/purple color to go with overflowing notes of kirsch liqueur, roasted meats, crushed flowers, garrigue and just about every other Provençal spice you could name. Full-bodied, beautifully concentrated, layered and a blockbuster-styled effort, it should surpass the 2007 and possibly rival the 1990. This is a tour de force in Châteauneuf du Pape! (JD)" (10/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In most vintages there are less than 200 cases of the top cuvee, the Cabernet Sauvignon Herold by Mark Herold. The 2010 is another 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, in this case from both the Coombsville and Oakville AVAs. A massive Cabernet, it offers plenty of blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit intertwined with hints of incense, charcoal, graphite and toasty oak. This full-bodied effort is very much in the style of the Merus Cabernet Sauvignons that first launched Mark Herold’s career as a winemaker. This big, balls-to-the-walls style of Cabernet is not for everybody, but it exhibits exceptional purity, richness and length. It should drink well for two decades or more. (RP)" (10/2013)

Vinous: "Violets, mint, blueberries, cassis and tar all come to life in the glass as the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon T6 Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard shows off its considerable pedigree. The T6 is the first Cabernet in this tasting where the structure of the vintage is indelibly stamped into the wine. Today, the 2010 is incredibly backward. A long, cool growing season stretching 130 days from bud break to harvest yielded loose clusters with small, thick-skinned grapes. As the name implies, the T6 is clone 6 Cabernet from block D2. Vinous: "The 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia is cool, inward and reserved at this stage. Much less expressive than it was from barrel, today the 2010 appears to be in a closed phase. There is so much tension in the glass, though, and I can hardly wait to see where the 2010 goes over the coming years. A burst of mineral and floral infused fruit lingers on the polished, nuanced finish. Today, the 2010 seems to bring together the finesse of 2004 with the structure and power of the 2010.
