Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac (95WS, 93DC, 93RP, 92ST). Wine Spectator: "Bubbling over with crushed berries, currants and spices, with tobacco notes. Beautiful. Full-bodied, with gorgeously velvety tannins and a long finish of pretty fruit. This is a racy yet elegant Lafite. Classy. *Collectibles* (JS)" (03/2005)
Starting Bid: $1,410.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96RP, 93ST, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This appears to be one of the great efforts from Chateau Montelena, something I think I was correct about when I gave it an 'in the bottle' rating in 2006 of 95+. It is still an amazingly young wine that came from old vines on the famous St. George rootstock that did not require replanting because of the phylloxera epidemic that swept through Napa in the late 1980's and 1990's. Despite its lofty 14.4% alcohol (high by Montelena standards) and the overall flamboyance of the 2002 vintage, it needs another 4-6 years of cellaring. This young, classic Cabernet Sauvignon represents the quintessential traditional school of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It possesses an inky/blue/purple color in addition to a tight, but promising nose of black currants, crushed rocks, earth and spice. Rich, full-bodied, pure and brilliantly executed, with perfect harmony, thi

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine Bruno Clair Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru "Cazetiers" (90BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Despite bordering one another, this is completely different in character with much earthier, less elegant dark fruit aromas plus round, rich and intense light to medium weight flavors that offer terrific complexity and first rate length. A different expression yet lovely in its own right. *Outstanding*" (01/2005)
Starting Bid: $140.01

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Querciabella "Batàr" Pinot Blanc - Chardonnay Toscana. Wine Spectator: "Attractive lemon and honey character with a full-bodied, milky apple character. (JS, Web-2004)"
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Dominique Laurent Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes ((90-93ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep red-ruby. Wild, musky aromas of red berries and animal fur; complex but slightly reduced. Very sweet and concentrated in the mouth, with musky red berry flavors lifted by a floral element. Pure, silky and seamless, even if it doesn't have the grip of the best examples from this grand cru. (ST)" (03/2004)
Starting Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 94W&S, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This 2002 was virtually perfect when I tasted it in early May. Even better than I predicted seven years ago, this 4,500-case blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot and Merlot has blossomed beautifully, revealing even greater intensity and potential than I predicted. A flawless, seamless integration of tannin, wood, alcohol and acidity is found in this dense, plum/purple-colored Dominus, along with copious notes of sweet black currants interwoven with kirsch, forest floor, unsmoked cigar tobacco, new saddle leather and forest floor. Full-bodied with velvety tannins, stunning elegance and a 45-second finish, this sensational 2002 rivals two of the all-time great wines made at Dominus, 1991 and 1994. It is hard to believe that proprietor Christian Moueix’s Dominus Estate has already celebrated its 25th anniversary and is moving towa

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Kongsgaard "Hudson Vineyard" Napa Valley Syrah (93VN). Vinous: "The nose shows an almost roasted ripeness compared to the 2001, offering deep, primary dark fruits, black olive, saddle leather, spices and a hint of truffle. Plush, sweet and deep; by far the richest wine to this point. Horizontal, tactile and very ripe yet bone-dry. This is remarkably young, dark and brooding and still a bit aggressive with alcohol. Needs to lose some of its baby fat. (ST)" (05/2016)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (94JS, 94RP, 92DC, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored with a touch of brick, the palate sports tobacco, cedar chest and yeast extract scents over a core of figs, dried mulberries, fruitcake, sautéed herbs and cinnamon toast with a waft of oolong tea. Medium-bodied, the palate features bags of freshness, with firm yet grainy tannins and plenty of mature dried berry flavors, finishing long and spicy. (LPB)" (11/2018)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 96CG, 96WS, 93W&S, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 boasts an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, violets, blackberries, creme de cassis and hints of charcoal and barbecue in addition to a full-bodied, multilayered mouthfeel that builds incrementally with great purity, staggering fruit concentration, and a long, velvety, 50+-second finish. This prodigious effort should continue to drink well for 20+ years. (RP)" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $550.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Volnay 1er Cru "Les Caillerets - Ancienne Cuvée Carnot" (91BH, 91WE, (89-90RP), 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "A wine which has all the lusciousness of Volnay. Beautiful, sweet, ripe fruit and dry, but firm, ripe tannins balance the flavors of currants. (RV)" (09/2004)
Starting Bid: $67.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (93WS, 92ST, 91RP). Wine Spectator: "Complex aromas of blackberries, tobacco and cedar follow through to a full-bodied palate, with ripe, velvety tannins and a long, caressing finish. Very beautiful. (JS)" (03/2005)
Starting Bid: $870.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 92CG, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Georges de Latour Private Reserve performed significantly better than it did seven years ago. Spicy oak and new saddle leather characteristics lead to dusty, loamy soil, cherry and cassis notes. The wine reveals terrific balance as well as a hint of French oak (BV is no longer using American oak as it did in the 1970's, 1960's and 1950's). This is intense, with some minerality as well as sweet tannins and abundant fruit, glycerin and richness. I was stunned by how well this cuvee is currently showing. (RP)" (06/2012)
Starting Bid: $52.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien ((90-92ST), 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(tasted sur colle) Bright medium ruby. Aromas of black fruits, violet, cedar and mint, with a light leafiness. Very suave in the mouth, with a sweetness and softness that belie its very high (82%) Cabernet content. This boasts impressive inner-mouth flavor and a distinctive mineral quality. No doubt even brighter than it's showing on its finings. Lovely Ducru in the making. (ST)" (05/2004)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((97-99RP), 95ST, (92-94BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Armed with huge quantities of fruit and perfectly ripened tannin, the medium to full-bodied 2002 Bonnes Mares explodes from the glass with stunning aromas of candied blueberries, rocks, and red cherries. This massive, broad, enormously rich wine could ultimately, like the Chapelle and Clos de Beze, earn a perfect score. Its velvety waves of sensual red and black fruits are interspersed with nuanced notes of spices, mocha, flowers, and minerals. While enormously powerful and ripe, it magically retains its freshness and sports an ethereal quality that is difficult to put into words. It is a tour de force in winemaking! Anticipated maturity: 2009-2020+. (PR)" (06/2004)

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Sean Thackrey "Orion - Rossi Vineyard" Napa Valley Red Blend ((96-100RP), 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A riveting example of Syrah is the 2002 Orion. It boasts a black/purple color with more mint and blackberry notes intermixed with exotic floral characteristics. With great intensity, full body, multiple dimensions, and superb purity as well as length, this blockbuster is incredibly well-balanced/harmonious. (RP)" (08/2004)
Starting Bid: $65.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Latour, Pauillac (96RP, 96VN, 96WS, 94ST). Vinous: "One of the most pleasant surprises in this tasting, the 2002 Latour is just beginning to show the full breadth of its aromatic complexity, but it is also has more than enough depth to drink well for several decades. Tar, graphite, incense and smoke open up in the glass in a Latour that leans towards the more delicate, feminine side of things. Silky tannins add polish and creaminess through to the finish. The 2002 is surprisingly delicious today for a young Latour, but it also has the pedigree and density to age nicely for decades. (AG)" (07/2016)
Starting Bid: $1,355.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92CG, 91ST, 91W&S, 90WE). Connoisseurs Guide: "The most complex of the Stag's Leap lot, this fascinating effort is simply brimming with ripe cherries and very rich oak and shows intriguing touches of leather, coffee, cocoa and caramel throughout its length. It is fairly full and broad on the palate with fine balance and a mannerly, well-polished feel, and, if a slight touch of last-minute tannin jumps up at its finish, there is no doubt that a few years in bottle with smooth things out completely. *Two Stars*" (04/2006)
