Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Casa E. di Mirafiore "Paiagallo" Barolo (92JS, 92RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Barolo Paiagallo is a bold and exuberant wine with an immediate and accessible personality. This wine put it all out there with intensity and cheerful flair. The quality of fruit is dark, succulent and very indicative of the warm growing season. The mouthfeel is focused and tight with impressive length and precision. (ML)" (08/2018)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this bottle of 1985 Paolo Scavino "Bric del Fiasc" Barolo (91RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1985 Barolo Bric del Fiasc (magnum) shows mature aromas of beef bouillion, coffee beans and leather but it is fresher on the palate, where is offers plenty of sweet plum and prune fruit in an ethereal, classic style of Barolo. (AG)" (10/2006)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Conterno Fantino "Sorì Ginestra" Barolo (99WS, 94RP, 93WE). Wine Spectator: "Pure crushed berries and plums, with just a hint of wood and fresh mushroom. Full-bodied and compacted, with loads of rich fruit and big, velvety tannins. Gorgeous wine. Huge concentration, yet balanced. Greatest wine ever from here and the wine of the vintage. *Collectibles, #25 2005 Top 100 Wines* (JS)" (10/2005)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo (100RP, 98VN, 96JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is the stuff of dreams. The Bartolo Mascarello 2016 Barolo is a true icon of the vintage. The approach is elongated and silky, like lifting honey from a jar. The aromas are chiseled and focused with wild berry, licorice, candied orange peel, campfire ash, rusted iron, crushed graphite and pencil shaving. The wine's personality is downplayed, elegant and demure in one tasting but exuberant and expressive in the next. The tannins show snap and crunch, indicating they will drive the wine forward over many years of cellar age. This is one of those rare wines that is poised to improve with each increment of time. Structurally, it is perfect. If we were to create a template for an aspirational Barolo, this would be it. (ML)" (07/2020)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this bottle of 1998 Bruno Giacosa "Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga" Barolo (97JS, 95RP, 95VN). James Suckling: "This is drinking so beautifully now with so much plum, licorice, and berry character. It's full body and very soft with polished tannins and a super long finish. The round texture ad decadent fruit is wonderful. " (06/2016)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Paolo Scavino "Bric del Fiasc" Barolo (94WS, 93ST, 92RP). Wine Spectator: "Dark ruby color, with some garnet undertones. The nose shows ripe plum, as well as green coffee bean character. Full-bodied, with very soft and round tannins and ripe fruit. Turns to coffee, sweet tobacco and berries on the finish. Give it another couple years to mellow. 1998 Piedmont blind retrospective. (Web-2008)"
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Paolo Scavino "Cannubi" Barolo (94ST, (91-93RP), 93VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Full, deep red. Scented, liqueur-like aromas of red fruits, dried rose and mint. Sweet, sappy and liqueur-like in the mouth, with ripe acids framing the powerful fruit. A wonderfully vibrant, perfumed '98, finishing long and highly aromatic, with notes of raspberry, cherry, rose petal and menthol. A knockout. (ST)" (11/2002)
Starting Bid: $255.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Pira E. Figli "Cannubi Chiara Boschis" Barolo (92ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very good deep red. Slightly roasted, floral aromas of strawberry jam, plum and licorice. Rich and chewy in the mouth, with the brightness and firm grip of the vinage. The wine strong material handles the new oak gracefully. Finishes quite long and ripe, with chewy tannins. (ST)" (11/2000)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Mauro Veglio "Castelletto" Barolo (93JS, 93VN, 93WE, 91W&S). Vinous: "The 2015 Barolo Castelletto is the most complete and expressive of the Veglio 2015s. A rush of blue and purplish berry fruits melds into lavender, spice, licorice and tobacco, while beams of firm Monforte tannin give the wine its distinctive energy. There is so much to admire in this nuanced, powerful wine from Veglio. (AG)" (02/2019)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1971 Fontanafredda Barolo. Robert Parker writes: "The Fontanafredda estate is one of the oldest Piedmont estates. Interestingly, in my college and law school days the Fontanafredda Barolos were my introduction to the wonders of Piedmontese wines. A few bottles of the 1970 and 1971, bearing price tags of $5.99, remain in my cellar. Both wines are still drinking beautifully, revealing no signs of decline, a testament to just how long these wines can last. In top vintages, Fontanafredda can produce a half dozen or more single vineyard Barolos."
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Paolo Scavino "Bric dël Fiasc" Barolo (100WE, 97WS, 96RP, 95JS, 95VN, 94ST). Wine Enthusiast: "If a wine can truly be perfect, this is it. Displaying power, grace, depth and complexity, this Barolo delivers sublime Nebbiolo sensations including rose, underbrush, red cherry, leather, licorice, baking spices, clove, white pepper and balsamic notes. The intense flavors are balanced by velvety tannins and fantastic energy. *Cellar Selection* (KO)" (10/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 G.B. Burlotto "Cannubi" Barolo (100RP, 100VN). Vinous: "A breathtaking, positively riveting wine, the 2016 Barolo Cannubi brings together all the elements of the Burlotto house style. Rich, ample and deep with stunning intensity, the 2016 has so much to offer. All the elements are wonderfully fused together. The 2016 is a Cannubi of uncommon depth, but also has a certain darkness that gives it a feeling of great power and intensity. Bright saline notes add to its explosive energy. Fabio Alessandria vinified the Cannubi with manual pumpovers and punchdpowns, after which the wine spent a total of three weeks on the skins. The 2016 is a total turn-on - that's pretty much all there is to it. (AG)a" (02/2020)
Starting Bid: $285.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 G.B. Burlotto "Monvigliero" Barolo (100VN, 99RP, 99WE, 95JG). Vinous: "The 2016 Barolo Monvigliero is utterly spellbinding in its profoundness. In this vintage, the Monvigliero moves into shades of more blue-toned fruit. Whole clusters, always 100%, are remarkably integrated. Rose petal, lavender, mint, crushed flowers, wild red berries, blueberry, blood orange and mint are some of the many notes that grace this exceptional, silky Barolo. The 2016 was fermented with low temperatures and spent two months on the skins. With its laser-like focus and incredible cut, tension and nuance, the Monvigliero will be slow to reveal itself, but wow - what a wine. (AG)" (02/2020)
