Orange peel, too. Full body, firm and velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. So complex and beautiful. It goes on for minutes. I love the balance that makes it so enjoyable to try now but it will age for decades ahead. " (11/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana (100RP, 100VN, 97WS, 95JS). Vinous: "The 2016 Flaccianello della Pieve is a truly special, moving wine. There's not much more to say. The 2016 was epic when I tasted it last year. It is every bit as memorable today. Beautifully layered, the 2016 possesses remarkable finesse and power. All of the natural intensity of Panzano's Conca d'Oro comes through in a wine that dazzles from start to finish. As always, Flaccianello showcases the darker side of Sangiovese. (AG)" (09/2020)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia L'Eleganza" Bolgheri Superiore (98JS, 96RP, 96VN, 95DC, 95JD, 93WS). James Suckling: "Amazing graphite and violet aromas with dark fruits. Medium to full body, ultra-velvety tannins and a long and beautiful finish. Formed and tight. I love the fresh ginger underneath it all. This has a cool profile to the wine. So approachable yet this has wonderful length." (11/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Tenuta di Sesta Brunello di Montalcino (95JS, 94RP, 91DC). James Suckling: "Wonderful perfumes to this wine with hints of hot stone, blackberry, orange peel and nectarine on the nose. Full body, with a beautiful concentration of fruit and compacted tannins. The texture is every so silky and fine. It goes on for minutes. A beauty. Hot stone character at the finish too. A gorgeous and friendly wine. Drink or hold. " (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino (95RP, 95ST, 94JS, 92JG, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The estate’s 2007 Brunello di Montalcino has developed beautifully over the last year. Freshly cut flowers, dark raspberries, spices and mint all take shape in a 2007 that impresses for its freshness and pure energy. Sweet roses and violets linger on the finish. I imagine the 2007 will enjoy a very broad drinking window. Today it is drop-dead gorgeous. The combination of dry extract above 34 and acidity north of 6% is exceedingly rare and suggests the wine will age for several decades. (AG)" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $67.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Uccelliera Brunello di Montalcino (97RP, 94JS, 94WS, 92VN, 92W&S, 91DC, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Andrea Cortonesi's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino struts its stuff from the very start. This is a Brunello of profound beauty, intensity and complexity. At this young stage in the wine's life you get a generous dose of primary fruit focused on cherry and blackberry. You also get so-called secondary aromas from the oak that recall spice, cinnamon and dark smoke. These lead to the promise of beautiful tertiary aromas as the wine continues its slow evolution over the course of time. This wine is like a long-distance runner who explodes from the starting line and keeps a steady pace throughout the race. Dark penetration and rich aromas wrap generously over the palate. Endnotes of spice, cured meat and barbecue smoke add extra layers to the finish. I am a huge fan of Uccelliera's Brunello and the 2010 is absolutely unforgettable. (ML)" (02/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Case Basse "Soldera" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (98VN, 92WE). Vinous: "What a thrill it is to taste and drink Soldera's 2001 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva. A powerful, driving wine, the 2001 is endowed with tons of pure depth, intensity and energy. The aromatics soar out of the glass, but the fruit and beams of tannin are right behind. Mesmerizing and wonderfully complete, the 2001 remains one of the finest Riservas ever to emerge from these cellars. (AG)" (10/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Masseto" Toscana (100RP, 99JS, 99VN, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The release of this wine comes at a very happy time for the Masseto brand. The stunning 2015 Masseto is hitting the market just as the final touches are being made to the new Masseto winery. I'm told that Masseto might one day see other wines made under that same roof, so we can't exclude a future enlargement of the Masseto portfolio. The Masseto vineyard now covers seven hectares (divided into three plots), and the vines range from 30 to 40 years old. The wine is absolutely teeming with sensorial spirit that is transmitted through the bounty of the bouquet and the solid tannins of the mouthfeel. Nothing about the wine goes unnoticed or unchecked. Its many working pieces fit together with precision like a well-oiled machine. The 2015 vintage is characterized by a level of sheer exuberance that also defined the 2004 and 2007 vintages. Yet, it also reveals similar

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (98DC, 98JS, 97RP, 97W&S, 97WE, 97WS, 95VN). James Suckling: "Love the aromas to this young red with blackcurrants, sage, cinnamon and five-spice character. Changes all the time. Full-bodied, dense and powerful with a ripe and rich tannin backbone that gives form and beauty to the ripe and beautiful fruit. Tight and very long. Approachable now but will reward more in five to six years. A classic Sassicaia." (01/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Casanova di Neri "White Label" Brunello di Montalcino (96JS, 96RP, 94WS, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The outstanding 2010 Brunello di Montalcino gives you everything you want to see in a great wine, a great Tuscan wine. This monumental expression of Sangiovese delivers top-notch intensity with seamless integration of aromas. They span from dark fruit and Morello cherry to chocolate, spice, licorice, balsam herb and rosemary sprig. The energy and vitality of the vintage is locked perfectly within. This Brunello exhibits especially soft, silky tannins with long persistence and momentum. There is nothing out of place and the price tag is certainly not exaggerated for this level of excellence. (ML)" (02/2015)
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Ciacci Piccolomini "Pianrosso" Brunello di Montalcino (98JS, 97RP, 96W&S, 95WE, 94VN, 94WS). James Suckling: "Aromas of lilac, dark berry and sandalwood follow through to a full body, with fine tannins and an intense and savory finish. Very intense and very long. Succulent. Amazing balance and depth to this red. It's so beautiful to taste now but it will be much better in five to ten years. A triumph." (10/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Costanti Brunello di Montalcino (97VN, 96WE, 94WS). Vinous: "Costanti's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is stunning. Dark, powerful and mysterious in the glass, the 2010 captivates all the senses with its breathtaking beauty and layered, multi-dimensional personality. Lavender, violets, savory herbs, smoke, plums and graphite flow through to the rich, explosive finish. There is a prism-like sense of transparency allied to pure power in the 2010 that is impossible miss. Readers who can find the 2010 should not hesitate; it is a must-have. While many 2010s are approachable today, the Costanti's 2010 is not; it is a wine for the cellar. (AG)" (02/2015)
Starting Bid: $136.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Masseto" Toscana (100JS, 100RP, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Masseto has pulled off back-to-back home runs. This is the first time that an Italian wine has earned 100 points in successive vintages. The 2016 Masseto is a thunderstorm of emotions, but it manages to keep them under perfect control. Like the 2015 Masseto before it, this vintage is a seamless wine of the highest pedigree. It represents an encore performance, continuing the string of successes that is bringing Italy to the forefront of the wine world. The first thing you'll notice is the thickness and concentration of the fruit that makes an immediate impact on all the senses, in terms of appearance, aroma and mouthfeel. There is no overstating the sheer power and richness of this iconic vintage of Italy's groundbreaking Merlot. Despite that considerable mass, this Masseto remains delicate and graceful. You gain better perspective as the wine opens in the glass and

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Fattoria dei Barbi Brunello di Montalcino (96JS, 94RP, 93VN, 92WS, 91DC, 91W&S). James Suckling: "Aromas of burnt orange peel and cherry with hints of dried bark and mahogany. Full-bodied and very tight and dense, with a beautiful fruit, tannin and acid balance. Finesse and strength. Best wine from here for ages. Needs until 2018 to show its true quality. " (12/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Brunello di Montalcino (94JS, 94RP, 94W&S, 94WE, 93VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino represents a return to the traditional values of Montalcino. The bouquet is buoyant and bright with lingering tones of smoke, ash, balsam herb, licorice and soy sauce. Those kinds of aromas make Brunello such a wonderful wine and thankfully you get them in abundance here. Dry mineral and brimstone also give the wine a sense of focus, sharpness and cleanliness that is very appealing. The close is long, fine and polished. I look forward to retasting this bottle five years from now. (ML) 94+" (02/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona "Pianrosso" Brunello di Montalcino (100JS, 99IWR, 98WE, 96RP). James Suckling: "Lots of ripe and rich fruit with a decadent undertone of meat and spice that turns to pure fruit and licorice. Medium to full body, refined tannins and a fresh and bright finish. All about harmony. " (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $207.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana (97DC, 97VN, 94JS, 94RP). Vinous: "The 2012 Flaccianello della Pieve, a selection of the estate's best fruit, presents a darker, more virile expression of Sangiovese. Here, too, the purity of the flavors is truly striking. Cinnamon, cloves, new leather, licorice and plums are some of the notes that soar from the glass. The 2012 is full-bodied and voluptuous, in classic Flaccianello style, but the new French oak is much better integrated than it often is at this stage, the result of a move to lower toast levels over the last few years. This is one of the finest young Flaccianellos I can remember. Simply put, the 2012 Flaccianello is a real stunner. Wow! (AG)" (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino (97RP, 95WS, 94VN, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is a stunning creation from an iconic vintage. Sangiovese specifically requires the perfect growing conditions to show its magic, and this vintage delivers those special qualities in troves. You are aware of the deep inner power and integrity of the fruit, yet the wine opens softly on the bouquet with elegance and grace. This bottle shows stunning complexity with a bouquet that peels back to reveal dark cherry, spice, balsam herb and dried violets. The mouthfeel has yielded to a greater sense of inner softness and mellowness since I last tasted this gorgeous wine upon its commercial release. (ML)" (10/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Felsina "Rancia" Chianti Classico Riserva (95RP, 95ST, 95VN, 93WE, 91WS, 90DC). Vinous: "The 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia is cool, inward and reserved at this stage. Much less expressive than it was from barrel, today the 2010 appears to be in a closed phase. There is so much tension in the glass, though, and I can hardly wait to see where the 2010 goes over the coming years. A burst of mineral and floral infused fruit lingers on the polished, nuanced finish. Today, the 2010 seems to bring together the finesse of 2004 with the structure and power of the 2010. A pretty magical combination, if you ask me. (AG) 95+" (08/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" Bolgheri Superiore (98JS, 98VN, 97WS). Vinous: "The 2015 Ornellaia is a dream wine with magnificent balance. All the elements are in the right place. In most vintages, Ornellaia needs time to fully come together, but the 2015 is just impeccable, even in the early going. The warm vintage notwithstanding, winemaker Axel Heinz crafted and Ornellaia is more about finesse and power. The potent, bruising tannins Ornellaia can show as a young wine are nowhere to be found. Bright raspberry jam, mint, white flowers and pomegranate are some of the many notes that punctuate the finish in a memorable Ornellaia that will go down among the great vintages produced at this reference-point estate. Drink through 2040. (AG)" (04/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 La Colombina Brunello di Montalcino (95WS, 94RP, 93JS, 92VN). Wine Spectator: "This rich version is saturated with flavors of cherry, plum, spice and earth. The tannins are dense, and the vibrant acidity keeps the wine focused and long. Offers a fine mix of power and finesse, featuring a mineral element on the finish. (BS)" (06/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana (95JS, 95VN, 95WS, 91DC). Vinous: "The 2007 Flaccianello della Pieve captures the essence of this great Tuscan vintage. It is a decidedly sexy, opulent wine bursting at the seams with rich red berries, mint and spices. The tannins are present but virtually undetectable under layer after layer of fruit. There is no question the 2007 is seamless, opulent and full-bodied. Readers who prefer more structured wines will gravitate to vintages such as 2001 and 2004. I find the 2007 utterly irresistible. It will also drink better earlier than some of the most classic vintages. (AG) 95+ " (06/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" Bolgheri Superiore (97JS, 97RP, 97WE, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Ornellaia continues to blossom in the bottle. Dark cherries, chocolate, espresso, blackberries and mocha are just some of the many notes that explode from the glass. A rich tapestry of licorice, tar and camphor notes develop in the glass, adding considerable complexity. The 2008 is a huge, structured Ornellaia endowed with massive structure. It has come together beautifully since the early days when it was a tannic beast. Readers who can be patient will be rewarded with a spectacular bottle of wine. This is a fabulous showing. (AG) " (06/2012)
Starting Bid: $449.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 La Fortuna Brunello di Montalcino (96JS, 95WS, 93WE). James Suckling: "Aromas of wet earth, meat and dried fruits. Some nuts and spices. Complex. Full body, with super fine tannins and fabulous intensity and richness. Dried cherry and candied citrus fruit. Fabulous finish. You want to drink this now. But shows superb finesse and intensity. Why wait?" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $103.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 La Gerla Brunello di Montalcino (95VN, 94JS, 94RP, 94WS). Vinous: "La Gerla's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is absolutely delicious. Dark red cherries, plums, mint, smoke, tobacco and licorice flesh out in a wine that offers notable depth, structure and power. The 2010 is medium in body and also quite polished, yet there is a level of inner sweetness and perfume that makes the wine incredibly appealing, even today. Ideally, though, readers should give the 2010 at least a few years in the cellar. The precise, delicate finish is a thing of beauty. (AG)" (02/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Ornellaia "Le Serre Nuove" Bolgheri (94JS, 94VN, 93DC, 93JD, 93RP, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2015 Le Serre Nuove shows just how alluring this vintage is. Silky, perfumed and also wonderfully light on its feet, the 2015 is a real pleasure to taste today. All of the Ornellaia signatures come through in an attractive, mid-weight wine that will drink well right out of the gate. The 2015 is a stunning Serre Nuove. That's all there is to it. (AG)" (04/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Tenuta San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (99DC, 97VN, 96RP, 95JS, 95ST, 94WE, 94WS). Decanter: "This 2006 has guts and glory, there is stuffing here. The exotic heat comes through like a pan-seared filet steak, nothing more than a flash fire that gives way to succulence. More exoticism with the dancing array of flavours, from plums, damson and spices to forest fruits and heather then the menthol kicks comes in. You just want to linger over this glass, pick apart the individual flavours and get to understand what it is saying. (JA)" (12/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Le Macchiole "Messorio" Toscana (95WS, 93VN, 92RP). Wine Spectator: "This offers fresh herbs and berries on the nose, with hints of coffee and vanilla. Full-bodied, soft and fruity, with a green olive undertone and lots of new wood. Builds on the palate. Tannic. Merlot. (JS)" (10/2008)
