Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Chardonnay The Judge (a barrel sample) leaps from the glass with vivacious notes of mandarin peel, lemongrass and lime leaves with a core of fresh pink grapefruit, green guava and apple blossom plus wafts of shaved almonds and wet pebbles. Full-bodied, the palate delivers a powerful core of tropical fruit and savory layers with a lively line of freshness and a pleasantly oily texture, finishing long and zesty. Bid on this bottle of 2018 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((96-98RP), (96-97JS)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Schrader’s RBS comes from Beckstoffer’s To Kalon vineyard in Oakville, produced from 337 clone grown on blocks B1, B2 and E2. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aging in 100% new oak. A very deep purple-black colored barrel sample, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard leaps from the glass with wild blueberries, Morello cherries and red and black currants notes, followed by nuances of mossy tree bark, pencil lead and black truffles plus a suggestion of menthol. Medium-bodied, the palate has a solid foundation of very firm, grainy tannins and beautiful freshness, supporting the tightly wound earthy layers on the long finish. The barrel samples of the 2018 vintage reveal less alcohol and weight than previous great vintages, with all the bright, fresh, crunchy black and red fruit that this longer, cooler growing season

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2018 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((97-99RP), (94-97VN), 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "CIX stands for 109, because this was originally called “Parcel 109” when Aubert bought the vineyard. Planted in 2008 to Montrachet clone, the 2018 Chardonnay CIX Estate slips sensuously from the glass with beguiling scents of apple blossoms, honeysuckle and orange peel over a core of ripe Bosc pears, coriander seed, white pepper and shaved almonds plus a touch of talc. Full-bodied, rich and seductive, it has seamless freshness and the most beautifully perfumed personality, finishing long and fragrant. (LPB)" (10/2019)

Incisive, mineral- and spice-driven pink grapefruit, pear and peach scents are complemented by building violet, iodine and floral nuances. The 2018 Chardonnay Larry Hyde & Sons leaps from the glass with vivacious fresh grapefruit, lemon peel, orange blossoms and lime cordial notes with nuances of fresh ginger, hay, sea spray and chalk dust. The full-bodied mouth explodes with the whole citrus-fruit flavor spectrum—lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruit on steroids—complemented by loads of spicy sparks and lifted by amazing freshness, sporting a provocatively creamy texture and finishing long. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((96-98RP), (94-97VN), 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Chardonnay UV-SL comes across as a little shy compared to the Napa Chardonnays, slowly unfurling to reveal oyster shells, peach blossoms, honeysuckle and brine notes over a core of lemon marmalade, crème brûlée and pink grapefruit plus a touch of key lime pie. Full-bodied, the palate is like a tightly coiled spring with loads of tension between the racy acid and all the taut fruit, finishing very long and very minerally. This should be very long-lived! (LPB) 96-98+" (10/2019)

Of the 2018 Booker "Vertigo 22" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The same blend (55% Syrah, 25% Mourvèdre, and 20% Grenache), only aged longer in barrel, the 2018 Vertigo 22 offers similar notes of crème de cassis, graphite, white flowers, white chocolate, and spiced meats as well as a full-bodied, powerful style on the palate. It’s another stunningly balanced, rich, yet seamless red from Jenson that does everything right. Pushing at perfection, drink it over the coming decade." (09/2020)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Kosta Browne Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (95JD, 92RP, 91WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills was 90% destemmed and brought up in mostly neutral oak (French and Austrian). Its ruby/purple hue is followed by a beautiful bouquet of ripe strawberry and raspberry fruits interwoven with plenty of spice, flowery incense, and violet nuances. Ethereal, medium-bodied, and elegant on the palate, it has a terrific sense of balance, integrated acidity, and a great finish. It's not a blockbuster Pinot by any measure yet has complexity, balance, and length. I'm a big fan." (08/2020)
Starting Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Booker Paso Robles Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 2018 Booker "Fracture 22" Paso Robles Syrah (98JD) and 1-bottle of 2018 Booker "Tempranillo Twenty-Two" Paso Robles Tempranillo (97JD). Of the 2018 Booker "Fracture 22" Paso Robles Syrah,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The extended aged version of the Fracture, the 2018 Fracture 22 is the same wine as the base Fracture, but spends an additional 6 months in barrel. It’s largely in the same mold with its saturated purple hue and ripe, sexy bouquet of cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as more spicy, meaty, and white chocolate-laced aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, powerful, and straight-up seamless on the palate, it has polished tannins, not a hard edge to be found, and a great finish. Paso Robles Syrah doesn’t get much better!" (09/2020)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Booker "The Ones" Paso Robles Syrah (99JD, (94-96RP)). Jeb Dunnuck: "Similar to the Fracture with its killer bouquet of crème de cassis, chocolate, smoked meats, and graphite, the 2018 Syrah Ones gains complexity with time in the glass, offering more tobacco, cigar, and spice-driven nuances. This big, opulent beauty is full-bodied, super-rich, and concentrated, yet it’s also seamless, weightless, and elegant, with a chalky minerality coming through on the finish. It’s already hard to resist yet should easily evolve for another decade." (09/2020)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Scarecrow "M. Etain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 M. Étain is a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 4% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it charges out of the gate with expressive notes of crème de cassis, baked plums, wild blueberries and tilled soil with loads of exotic spice and fruitcake accents. Full-bodied, the palate is as rich as it is vibrant and refreshing, featuring approachable, finely grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and earthy. 2,400 cases were made. Bid on this bottle of 2018 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((97-99JD), 98JS, (95-97RP)). Jeb Dunnuck: "I loved the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard LPV. This vineyard, which is just a stone’s throw from Dr. Crane, has yielded an incredibly complex, full-bodied, exotic style as well as a kaleidoscope of blue fruits, spring flowers, bay leaf, and dried tobacco. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aging in 100% new Darnajou and Taransaud barrels, it has a surprising amount of structure hiding under its fruit and it’s going to be a magical, long-lived wine." (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Booker "The Ones" Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, (94-96RP)). Jeb Dunnuck: "There are two limited production cuvées that are each a cellar selection of the best of the variety. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Ones showed beautifully, and I’d be happy to put it in a blind lineup with the best of Napa Valley. Starting out slightly reserved, it opens up with time in the glass and has a complex, nuanced style in its blackcurrant and cassis fruits as well as notes unsmoked tobacco, sappy herbs, cedar pencil, and chocolate. These all carry over to the palate, where the wine is full-bodied and has a layered, elegant texture, sweet tannins, and a great finish. This is certainly a big, rich wine, yet it stays balanced and has a wonderful sense of freshness. It also has an incredible varietal character and is classic Cabernet. Drink it any time over the coming 20 years or more." (09/2020)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2018 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((98-100RP), (95-98VN), 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mark Aubert notes that this is a complex vineyard. It is planted to four different clones: two Old Wente clones, Mount Eden and Corton Charlemagne. The 2018 Chardonnay Lauren Estate explodes effortlessly from the glass, emitting flamboyant crystalized ginger, cinnamon stick, green tea and lime cordial notions with suggestions of applesauce, lemongrass, honey-roasted almonds and paraffin wax plus a touch of cedar chest. Full-bodied, the palate is wonderfully earthy/savory, delivering a beautiful oiliness to the texture juxtaposed by spine-tingling purity and freshness, finishing with epic length. (LPB)" (10/2019)

James Suckling: "A great expression of cabernet sauvignon. Full-bodied with notes of crushed berries and nuts. Well balanced, with great quality to the tannins and pleasant acidity. The structure and texture are in harmony, leading to a long, flavorful finish. Shows wonderful length and beauty. Goes on and on. Needs at least five years to mellow. Try after 2025." (12/2020)
